Spent Thanksgiving here with the family and we thoroughly enjoyed it! Great location between Boone and Blowing Rock. Bedrooms are big and the downstairs is a nice place to escape for some alone time or enjoy some family time!
The property is nice and secluded even though there are other cabins around you it was like no one was close.
The cabin is very spacious and very nice.
We enjoyed our stay very much
The cabin is very comfortable, has all the amenities one could ask for and is close to town. It is very spacious and a has great floor plan. The decor is fabulous but still cozy at the same time.
This was such a beautiful home! Perfect location between Boone and Blowing Rock. Everything we wanted to do was within 10 minutes! The pool table and hot tub were an added bonus!
10/10 would stay again. The house was even better than the photos and the location was excellent. The only issue was getting into the house with the padlock, as the code that was originally sent to me before check-in did not work. It all got sorted out just fine in the end. Highly recommend this house for larger groups!
Property was in the perfect location to attend our daughters graduation from App State! House fully accommodated family members who joined us for this special family celebration.
Note to future renters- gravel parking lot at bottom of hill is actually owned by homeowner from across the street. Best to communicate with them if they are home. Long steep driveway is manageable for multiple cars but you must back everyone in!
In spite of parking challenges, the home is just terrific!!
The house was well decorated and met our needs. The downstairs living area was our favorite.
It was in a quiet neighborhood and located easily between Blowing Rock and Boone. Our group had a great time. There were a few issues but nothing worth contacting the owners.
When searching for a house, I looked for one that did not allow pets because of allergies. It was obvious pets had been in the house due to hair found and caused some to have allergy issues. Also, it was very dusty and had cobwebs in many areas. Some of the pillowcases had mildew on them (maybe from being left in the washer). It seems it may have been a cleaning issue. For as well decorated and nice as the house was, I was surprised to see the pool table leveled with cardboard beer boxes. Overall, the weekend was enjoyed and the location was perfect.
When I pay over $6000 for a house for our annual family ski trip, I expect to have a nice rental. Sadly, even though this house was the most expensive weâve ever stayed in in the Boone area, it was definitely not the nicest. The house was smaller than expected, in DESPERATE need of updating (stained mattresses, lumpy uncomfortable furniture with springs protruding, dingy and dirty lamps, etc, etcâŠ), and dirty! We found actual trash under couches when we first arrived. My husband also had to use boards he found outside to prop up the bed on the main level because the mattress was literally caving in. We have stayed in brand new homes in the area (Eagleâs Nest and others) and have spent less. I would absolutely not recommend this house at this price! They need to cut the cost in half!
We stayed at Gratitude for a weekend in late March. The house was amazing and fulfilled all our needs. It is fully equipped, nicely appointed, and close to both Boone and Blowing Rock. We would definitely recommend it to anyone considering a trip to the region!
We rented Gratitude cabin with close friends for ASU Homecoming. Plenty of space for everyone. Wonderful mountain view. Enjoyed the game room downstairs. Plan to rent again.
We went to Boone to spend time with our children and grandchildren. We had a great stay the cabin accommodations were perfect for us. The chairs in the living room need to be replaced or fixed and the carpets were pretty dirty and stained but everything else was great.
We truly enjoyed our week at Gratitude. The wildlife in the area and wooded area were what we were looking for to rejuvenate. There were plenty of activities to keep us busy in the area. We did have concerns over the refrigerator ice maker causing water to pool at the front of the fridge. Also, had plumbing issues that were addressed by the property manager while we were there. Thanks for a great time!
What a great experience! We had two families of 3 and had beyond enough space. A nice curvy mountain road takes you up to the cabin. The cabin is well stocked with amenities, the kids loved the hot tub and we enjoyed the game room with pool table and darts. The place is clean and updated. Would highly recommend. The only small things to improve on; better outdoor fire pit location & seating and the board games had a lot of missing pieces (Yahtzee with one die). Thatâs it!
Our group of eight stayed at Gratitude for a long weekend. The house was the perfect size and we enjoyed all the amenities, especially the hot tub. The fire pit was a little disappointing because of itâs location. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.
