Cette maison de journal a Ă©tĂ© construite avec tous les meubles et la dĂ©coration d'un lodge haut de gamme. Vous pouvez voir des photos dans le magazine Cabin Life, oĂč il a Ă©tĂ© prĂ©sentĂ© plusieurs fois. Il y a quatre chambres officielles avec deux piĂšces supplĂ©mentaires dans le sous-sol avec des lits. Il y a aussi 4 salles de bain complĂštes et 1 demi-bain. Grandes terrasses Ă  l'avant et Ă  l'arriĂšre de la maison avec balançoires. Enfants et adultes peuvent marcher vers le lac derriĂšre la maison pour nager, pĂȘcher et plus encore. Cette maison est l'une des maisons les plus proches du lac disponibles (environ 350 marches) et nous sommes situĂ©s dans une zone franche sillage, ce qui signifie bateaux doivent conduire trĂšs lentement derriĂšre la maison.

Il y a un grand foyer pour feux de joie et s'mores. La cour arriÚre est plat pour bocci, volley-ball ou d'autres activités. Mon fils l'habitude d'avoir paint ball se bat avec des amis dans les bois directement derriÚre la maison.

La table de salle à manger peut accueillir huit confortablement. Il y a 3 tabourets de bar au comptoir de la cuisine pour des siÚges supplémentaires.

L'une des nombreuses caractéristiques de cette maison est que chacun des trois étages a un espace de divertissement séparé afin que les gens puissent se réunir en petits groupes si vous le souhaitez. Le niveau inférieur a une salle familiale et une table de hockey sur air et un accÚs direct à la cour arriÚre. Le loft au deuxiÚme étage est idéal pour les jeux - piscine, jeux de cartes, jeux de société ou puzzles. Il y a quelque chose pour tout le monde!

Il y a 4 téléviseurs (grande salle, salle familiale au sous-sol et dans deux des chambres) si vous les voulez.

En plus d'ĂȘtre Ă  proximitĂ© de l'eau, vous ĂȘtes Ă©galement Ă  proximitĂ© (10 minutes) du centre-ville de Huntingdon - Ă©picerie, biĂšre / vin / spiritueux, restaurants, salle de gym (5 $ pour la journĂ©e) et un Super Walmart. Nous sommes environ 12 minutes de Seven Points Marina si vous voulez louer un bateau / kayake / paddle board ou utiliser leur trampoline d'eau. Nous sommes Ă©galement Ă  environ 45 minutes de Penn State pour les matchs de football et d'autres activitĂ©s ainsi.

Et si vous ĂȘtes un aventurier, quelques-unes des meilleures pistes cyclables sont Ă  environ 10 minutes. Il y a aussi d'excellents sentiers de randonnĂ©e pour tous les niveaux de compĂ©tence. Je descends Ă  Juniata College en ville et joue au tennis et mes enfants ont rouleau Ă  lames autour du campus. Il y a certainement beaucoup de choses Ă  faire!

Perfect Home to Gather Family

The home is clean and located in a quiet area. It comfortably accommodated four generations of our family. Access to the clean lake is a bonus. Kids enjoyed taking a dip and kayaking.

Our first trip to the Raystown Lake area did not disappoint. The cabin was located on a quiet road that had a wide path leading to a private beach on the lake. It was about 1/4 mile long and would be rough for older adults and those who are not active due to the incline. The accommodations were comfortable and roomy. The kitchen was well-stocked. Proximity to grocery stores was very helpful. We rented pontoon boats from Seven Points marina one day. There is a nice recreation area at Seven Points with a sandy beach. We were thankful for the 11:00 checkout since we needed to wash and dry all towels that were used. I recommend you start washing these the night before, because each load takes 1 hour to wash and 1 hour to dry. Renters may need to buy more paper products and trash bags, depending on the size of your group. The grocery store is only 12-15 minutes away, and there is a super Walmart in town for picking up any necessities you may not have packed. These were all minor inconveniences that shouldn’t dissuade anyone from renting. Overall this was a wonderful vacation for our family.

Graduation

Excellent and convenient place for the whole family to come and celebrate our son’s graduation from Juniata college. Quiet family time spent on the porch drinking coffee and absorbing the sounds of nature. Communication with Jill was prompt and efficient. Lovely home.

Really nice home

This was a very nice large home that you could really spread out in and not be on top of each other. The only complaint was we had to wash, dry and put the towels away. The washer and dryer literally took us 2 hours to do that in the morning. So plan accordingly.

Weekend getaway with friends

Such a beautiful cabin. Very clean, well equipped with everything you could ever need for a getaway. Short walk to the water for some swimming in the lake, very secluded and peaceful yet close enough to everything to make it an enjoyable stay. We have already started discussing coming back because a weekend stay wasn't long enough.

wonderful vacation

Our family had a wonderful vacation at Raystown Lake and enjoyed staying at Log Home On The Lake. Everything was very clean, kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, silverware etc. Great supply of bath towels, washcloths, bedding, soaps, toilet tissue in bedrooms and bathrooms. Thanks so much! Lots of things to do at house and areas close by.

A perfect house for our family

We spent a week at Raystown Lake and loved staying in this wonderful home. It was definitely a hot week so we loved being able to just walk down to the lake whenever we wanted. All of the beds were comfy and the grandkids loved the toys and play area on the 3rd floor. Definitely a beautiful and fun house to vacation in, and Jill was very helpful whenever I had a question. Hope to be back if we decide to come back to Raystown Lake again!

Super accommodations in the ideal location

We have been looking for the perfect place to stay in Parks Orchard for a few years. We have family in Hungingdon and visit often. This cabin is well stocked with everything we need for the weekend, has a well-kept backyard with plenty of room to play lawn games and enjoy the fire pit, and is within easy walking distance to the lake! We had such a great experience relaxing in the cabin, swimming in the lake, and hanging out by the fire; we can't wait to return with our friends and family. The owner and host was accommodating the entire time, even when we screwed up checkout, she worked with us without a fuss. We love returning to Huntingdon to visit family and the lake and staying in this cabin will make each trip even more enjoyable!

Stranded travelers

To be upfront I can only accurately rate the check in process & communication with host, both were non-existent. Host double booked the property and we only found out about this when I found her number and called the day of arrival asking for specifics to get into the house. We had booked this in March of 2023 for my son’s Penn State graduation May 4, 2024. We were paid in full. We & other family members had driven 4+ hours to the property when the house was found to be occupied already. To this point there had only been requests for payment, which I suspect may have been automated because I had asked a couple of questions that were never responded to. I finally found the host’s phone number, called, left a message & texted her. When she returned my call she stated it never happened before & asked what I wanted her to do. I explained I needed accommodations for my entire family immediately. She apologized but took no responsibility & blamed Vrbo, when she had actually rented it through another platform and did not check Vrbo or block it off. We had to involve VRBO to help find accommodations for all 8 of us at 5pm on Graduation weekend. We had food ordered for dinner on Saturday after graduation for us & 2 of my son’s friends and their families. Ms. Jones effectively ruined our graduation weekend plans that we had booked over a year ago.

Family Weekend

I surprised my mother for her 80th birthday by inviting her family from out of state for a weekend getaway. The house was perfect for several families to be comfortable in their own space. It was clean, had some essentials if we forgot them, and it was super easy to feel at home but also put it back together the way we found it. We brought A LOT of food and there was plenty of room to store until we needed it. There was plenty of room to spread out but also be together. The location offered hiking trails that brought you to a beautiful waterfront. Perfect to get out in nature! Everyone thought the house was amazing so I looked like a Rockstar for arranging it all! So appreciative for owners like Jill Jones for sharing their home with families like ours so we could make special memories together!

PSU vs WVU Getaway

This house was gorgeous, spacious, well stocked. The trek down to the lake is a little tough but we left our kayaks down there with no problems. At night, we had a couple of bon fires. Just a great long weekend with family and friends.

Exactly what we needed!

Highly recommend! Perfectly secluded with walk to the lake, yet close to civilization and house is really spacious and nice. We were a group of 5 adults and 2 kids - 3 and 6 year olds, and a 3 year old Bernedoodle. Everything as pictured and as described. We loved how secluded it was and path to the lake was a highlight of everyone’s day! Note that if you have elderly - path to the lake could be hard for them. Jill has a guest book with many recommendations and we did go to three twelve restaurant and had a wonderful meal there. We were a small group but I can see how this house would be perfect for a lathe family reunion - it has 3 levels with big bedrooms and each level has their own bathrooms and common areas. Kitchen is huge and has anything you might need to cook a meal and more. We loved the firepit. The swings. The decks. Comfortable seating and beds. Maybe one note would be the towels - guests are suppose to wash before leaving and frankly it’s stressful to wash, dry and put away on the day you are leaving especially knowing that most places don’t have such requirement. However, most of our group brought their own towels so this was not that much of a concern. Jill let us use the floatees which was great. And left us farm fresh eggs - which was very nice and made for many perfect breakfasts. Thank you Jill!

Beautiful and peaceful

The property and the owner are both amazing. Plenty of space and room for everything and everyone.I rented this cabin for my family as a gift, and we all had an amazing time. The walk to the water will tire you out if you are not in shape, and is difficult if you are taking kayaks or gear down to the lake, but the lake is so clean and beautiful it’s worth the effort! Quiet peaceful area, but close to town if you need anything. I would definitely book again!

Beautiful Lake.

We just could not get over how beautiful Raystown Lake is. The fishing could have been alittle better. But that’s fishing. We had our kayacks which was great to be able to use them everyday. I would use the boat ramp at Snyders Run If you want to bring a kayack. The trial down to the lake is a bit long to carry kayaks down and back up again. Snyders Run boat ramp is only 15 mins paddle to and from the property. House was big and we had plenty of room for four teenagers and four adults. Over all great time.
