Beautifully presented rooms. Very clean. Would definitely go back.
Lovely place to stay. Very clean and well looked after. Brilliant little touches such as ths vase of flowers, milk in fridge, wine, lots of thick towels and a very well equipped kitchen.
Nice property in a quiet location.
Parking is limited, as specified in the details, but the space available is very tight.
No information provided on how the appliances work - usually you get a folder - so ended up having to ask how to make the TV and hob work. Managed to get the oven on by myself.
The overall stay was nice especially hot tub but it would have been nice to have been told that the owner x2 properties were on same site as no where in the itinary did it say anything about that so we though we'd be totally alone with hot tub and what a shock we got when we rocked up and discovered we weren't and parking was tight but apart from that we had a nice break after the stress of loosing MIL suddenly. Now that we know what to expect it hasn't put us off returning again at some point again.
It is a small village and no pub or shop for 4 miles. please make sure to bring some provisions with you !
Our local attraction is Knettishall Heath - a beautiful walk with wild ponies roaming free. It is about a 20 minute walk to the heath through a canopied country road.
Thetford forest is - of course - beautiful with plenty of walking. Go Ape if you are feeling particularly fit !!
Thetford town is only about 2 miles from the village where you can pick up supplies.
Bury St Edmunds is our local market town - full of independent shops, theatre and cinema.
Norwich is our local city with 'everything' that you would want !! Everything !
All the Norfolk coast - beautiful - is about a one hour drive in any direction.
We have all the usual chain restaurants in Bury St Edmunds and plenty of local take-aways and fish and chips in local Thetford.
What else can I say - you need to come and see us !
Because the area is rural - which is why we live here ! - the mobile and broadband signal can be patchy. It is fine for receiving emails and keeping in touch with friends and family but hopeless for streaming films. The area will make up for the lack of Netflix !
