Best location

Best location in London. Convenient to crucial tube lines and walkable to many sites. Apartment is comfortable and well equipped. A busy neighborhood and a bit noisy but the apartment windows keep out most of the clamor. Shops and restaurants in abundance.

Covent Garden

Perfect spot to stay for exploring the heart of this lively area on foot. The apartment had everything I needed, and I enjoyed being able to see and hear the people outside on the walking street, which is closed to traffic. Would highly recommend.

Location location location

Flat is in a vibrant entertainment area: restaurants, shops, bars. Convenient to several tube stations. Just know you are above a busy bar. The area is quiet by 11pm.

Great location

The apartment was very clean and in a great location. Very convenient to transportation and within walking distance to many attractions. Other reviews said the noise from the pub downstairs was bad, but we barely noticed it, and it stopped around 11 pm. The living room furniture was adequate although very minimal, and not terribly comfortable for just relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. Having an elevator was a plus. We did not use the kitchen much but it was well stocked if you are inclined to cook.

Great location and just as advertised

From the US and we stayed a week in the property. It’s a great flat in a very central location. Felt very safe and comfortable. It’s over a pub so there is a little noise but it ended by about 11 on weekend nights and we had no issue with it. Tony is fantastic—very communicative and flexible. Only recommendations would be to provide some kind of information at the property about how to work heat, master electrical switches, what to do in an emergency and provide a phone number to contact if needed. Also, the bed is a little uncomfortable and a top sheet would have been nice. Overall great stay.

Great lively location

We stayed in this well-equipped flat for 3 1/2 weeks and it truly became our home. The location is ideal, with easy access to pubs and restaurants, a large Tesco, Leicester and Trafalgar Squares, galleries, theatres, and tube stations. As a popular and lively neighbourbood, it attracts lots of traffic and pedestrians and, of course, being in London, there's usually building construction of some sort going on. So it is not a quiet location, but the vibe is upbeat and generally happy. As for the pub below the flat, it does get pretty noisy (especially during world-cup rugby games!), but we wore earplugs at night and were never kept awake. All in all, the pleasantness of the flat and its excellent location more than make up for the ambient noise, and the street itself is a charming, pedestrian-only cobblestoned street, so at least there isn't traffic noise. Tony was very responsive to inquiries and we enjoyed meeting him. We hope to return to this flat again in the future!

Awesome location

First, the good. The location in Covent Garden couldn’t be better. Apartment is spacious, updated, and spotless. It is easy to access from the door to the left of the pub. But note: it is not a traditional pub. There is loud, live music (with rehearsal or jamming sometimes continuing well after closing). The pub does not close at eleven on weekends and holidays, and potted patrons continue their revelry in the streets after hours, This may not be a problem if you are a partier, night owl, or sound sleeper. The bed is an American double, not queen, with a saggy innerspring mattress. We have a big weight difference (100 vs. 183 lbs.) and are used to a firm-ish memory foam platform bed, so, together with the noise from below, sleep was difficult. But what a pleasure to be within an easy walk of so much that London has to offer!

Great Location in Covent Garden

It would be difficult to beat this property as a base for exploring London. Within two blocks you've got an underground station, a grocery store, and over a dozen restaurants - everything from McDonald's to pubs to fine dining. The British Museum, the theater district, all the shopping in the Picadilly and Covent Garden malls and arcades, Trafalgar Square and Buckingham Palace are all within walking distance. The options can honestly be overwhelming. And if you're just completely worn out from a long day exploring the city, there's a great pub with dinner and drinks just downstairs. Try the Beef & Porterhouse Stout Pie. Trust me. The property itself is small but tidy. There's a lift so you won't have to haul your luggage up and down stairs. Everything is clean, well-equipped and well-maintained. The kitchen has everything you'll need to cook some of your own meals and all the appliances (including a dishwasher) work well. Bathroom is good, and the shower gets hot and water pressure is good. The bed was comfortable. The owners met us at the property when we checked in and showed us around, and they were really great. Very kind and patient with our questions. You could tell it was important to them that we have a positive experience. The owners told me some previous guests had complained about noise, but frankly I think that's silly. It's not a monastery. It's a flat in the middle of one of the busiest retail and restaurant districts in the world. There are deliveries at night and sometimes crowds outside, but the noise never got to the point where it interfered with our sleep. I honestly thought there'd be more noise from the pub downstairs, but that always seemed to wind down by 9PM. On Friday night of our stay they had a live band and we could hear it, but it certainly wasn't obnoxious and they quit playing at 11PM anyway. This was our first trip to London but it certainly won't be our last, and if this flat is available the next time we come we'll definitely stay there again. It fit our needs perfectly.

Nice apartment, great location, easy to work with host

I stayed for almost a week while meeting with a group of friends in London. The apartment is in a really prime location with a short walk to bike rentals, restaurants, tube stations, cab stands, museums, and even grocery and drug stores. There's a nice brew pub downstairs and at least ten places to get coffee within a 5 minute walk. The only real downside is that the location is a bit noisy at night, especially on weekends, though I never had any trouble sleeping. I would definitely stay here again if traveling to London!

Perfect location!

The apartment is walking distance from almost everything we care to visit; that is, the National Gallery and Courtauld; operas, and good restaurants. Tony and Andrea were helpful with anything we needed. Yes, we were right above a large pub, but the noise from the happy drinkers was pretty much an ambient buzz and it ended at 11 pm. Not a problem. We enjoyed our time in London/Covent garden so much that we asked to extend our stay and fortunately Tony was able to accommodate us.

Overall the flat is perfect for a stay in London. The location is amazing.

We loved our time here and will always consider it our first home in London. The location is perfect for entertainment and food and has very easy access to the underground network. The kitchen is set up very nice for cooking meals along with a nice size refrigerator for groceries. The best part was the ease of working with the owner and property manager. Both individuals were very accommodating and so kind.
