A cosy and well equipped cottage in a beautiful Suffolk village.
We stayed whilst our house was having some building works and it made the perfect âhome away from homeâ. Any very minor issues (plumbing) sorted straight away by the very helpful property manager. Would highly recommend.
Lovely property with central village location.
Everything we needed as a base for a family wedding.Property is full of charm and village is lovely to take a stroll around . Shop, cafe , bakery & chip shop on your doorstep.
Welcome basket was very much appreciated as I did leave some essentials.
All the rooms are well proportioned and it is full equipped with everything you might need on your visit.
Another lovely stay. Thanks to Celene for her help with the quick turnaround both stays were very enjoyable. We loved seeing the church lit up at night and the bells pealing on a Sunday. Rose Cottage is a gem.
Rose Cottage is well situated in the middle of the village and is equipped with everything you would ever need. It is just a short stroll away from the Fish and Chip shop, Bakery, Tea Room, Hairdressers, Pub, Co-op/ Post Office, garage with shop, and a very nice Gift Shop.
We had a wonderful Stay.
From pre-booking to arrival the property manager was superb. Very friendly and helpful. The welcome basket on arrival was very thoughtful. Lovely little village. We stayed over the jubilee weekend and it had lots of celebrations and events going on. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming.
Cottage itself is superb. Has everything you need. Perfect for those with young children as there is a wonderful park just metres away. Nice local amenities such as fish shop, bakery, tea rooms and Co-op all within couple of minutes. Close to main route and plenty of great places to visit close by. We will 100% be returning and would highly recommend to everyone.
Excellent location. Well equipped and clean. Great restoration. Everything you needed for a comfortable stay. Prompt response from owner when a problem arose. One of the beds maybe needs to be replaced. Great overall. Thank you
Even before arriving at the property, the property manager was in communication with us and made sure all of our needs were catered too. The property manager went above and beyond setting up a cot and baby gate for my daughter and evening leaving some toys and goodies. 10 out of 10!
This property is everything you need for a family stay. This was our second time staying and will be back again. The beautiful Church opposite the house is a perfect setting. The village has everything you need and one of the best fish and chip shops.

Great communication with owners lovely cream tea on arrival. Really enjoyed the stay and would strongly recommend a stay many thanks bob and yvonne.
We stayed I Rose Cottage, Woolpit for a much needed break. The cottage was very well equipped and the location good for visiting places on our list - Sutton Hoo, Ely Cathedral, Aldeburgh and, of course, Bury St Edmunds. The villagers were friendly and helpful and we were made very welcome when we attended a concert in the church. All in all, a very enjoyable week.
Lovely cottage all you need and in a beautiful village with amenities close at hand.
Spotless. Modern comfortable accommodation we had a fabulous week visiting the nearby sights. Would definitely recommend and stay again. Love the added extras ie hamper on arrival
This was an excellent base for exploring Suffolk, located in an interesting village. The cottage was comfortable and had everything we needed. Thank you to Celene for the very high standard of cleanliness and the welcome pack of groceries. We had an issue with a smoke alarm which was resolved very quickly. An excellent place to stay. Thank you.
Spacious and well-equipped; immaculately presented. Good to have two and a half bathrooms. Situated in a pleasant village on the outskirts of Bury St. Edmunds.
Very good communications with the owner and with the property manager.
Very good value for the quality, location and size of property.
Would recommend to couples and to families.
Brilliant comms with Celene, property manager, whilst sorting out impact of lockdown.
Property very well equipped and conveniently located. Nice space outside would love to come back in the spring/summer.
Beautifully restored from what was a slum judging from the photographs of the renovation. Very well equipped lovely to have two bathrooms and a downstairs loo. Lots of crockery, glassware etc. Very well appointed. Enjoyed both the terrace outside on arrival still warm enough to have a glass or two outside then super to have the wood burning stove for Cody evenings playing board games. Super view of the church illuminated at night. Great to have shops in the village too.
The property was an ideal size, with practical flooring, good kitchen that lead to a small rear courtyard, a real sun trap. The location was brilliant, convenient for local bakery, cafe, shop and pub. Fantastic cycle routes all around so spent plenty of time exploring local villages, towns and general history of the area. Bury St Edmunds well worth a visit.
Beautiful village and stunning view from the cottage
Rose cottage is very comfortable, clean and welcoming. We enjoyed our stay enormously. Fascinating walks every day exploring the local countryside along the networks of footpaths. We saw skylarks, hares, deer and buzzards. It was a joy. Thank you for a wonderful week.
