A very well appointed and equipped property with everything in pristine condition it being the first year of letting. A beautifully isolated and quiet location with panoramic views of the stunning coast only a few minutes walk from the house and coastal footpaths in both directions where even in August we met very few people.
Beautiful big comfy beds with excellent mattresses and pillows. Two bathrooms with great showers.
Very well equipped kitchen/sitting room all light airy and modern.
A fantastic hideaway on the Welsh National Coastline. Tucked away down a long private road, the Eastblock House is surrounded by 180 degree sea views as it sits on the Angle peninsula. From the outside it is very modest, only boasting its original white walls and flat roof but when you step inside you are met with modern luxury: heated floor tiles throughout, powerful showers and large comfty beds. With two bedrooms and two bathrooms the accomodation is perfect for a couple, family or holiday away with friends. The hosts provided us with a selection of food and drink on our arrival which was ideal considering the nearest large supermarket is almost 10 miles away. The holiday was perfect- with the National coastline walking path only meters away, we had an amazing time exploring the cities of Tenby, St Davids, Fishguard and Milford Haven as well as enjoying the sandy shores of Freshwater beach and Little Haven. I would definitely recommend the property to anyone who needs to escape for some peace and quiet!!
Lovely, well appointed property in a conservation area. Really quiet and peaceful and close to Angle beach. It has everything you will need for your stay. With exceptional sea views on three sides. We loved it , and will definetly stay again.
Had a great time spent at East Blockhouse, Jennie & Simon are excellent hosts. The location is beautiful and peaceful if that's what you looking for. We are booking for next year already.
We had such a wonderful time here. Eastblockhouse is such an amazing place. Exceptionally clean with everything you could wish for. Jennie and Simon are fantastic hosts and loved hearing about their time as owners of Eastblockhouse. I would definitely recommend to stay here and we would love to return.
This is a fabulous and unique property in a perfect position for exploring the Pembroke-shire coast. We had a great week exploring Angle and surrounding districts and the apartment was a great base to return to and to relax. Thank You, we would love to return one day.
Stunning location and a perfectly appointed place to stay
We spent a week at Easter at the East Blockhouse and would thoroughly recommend it as a perfect base to explore the southern part of Pembrokeshire.
The house itself while not a typical character property is actually exactly what you'd want from a holiday cottage - warm, all the right kitchen bits and pieces and not overlooked, despite the fact there is another similar cottage right by you. There was also a games room, with a 'shop' and DVDs to borrow.
The properties are particularly well suited for dogs, with a fenced area that you could feel confident in letting your dog roam.
The owners Jennie and Simon were nearby and absolutely perfect hosts and made us feel incredibly welcome. They are very lucky to live in such a gorgeous location.
Saying location, the walks from the cottage along the coast are as breathtaking as elsewhere on the Pembrokeshire coastal path. We particularly enjoyed walking down to Angle then around the headland off Thorne Island and then to the Old Point House for a drink and bite to eat.
With a bit of driving you can access loads of other brilliant walks, but I can easily imagine hanging out at the Blockhouse for a week, just watching the wildlife, boats and horses (which live on the Blockhouse land).
All in all a wonderful place to stay - we'll be back for sure.
The property is beautifully fitted. It is clean, comfortable and warm. A joy to have a super king bed option. All the properties are well fenced and dog friendly. A wonderful "away from it all" holiday in the South of the best county in Wales, Pembrokeshire. If you love country and sea, then you and your dog/s will love this. Helpful hosts and very welcome treats on arrival.
Beautifully appointed, comfortable, warm welcome, blissfully peaceful, very dog friendly
This is the perfect retreat for anyone looking for an off the beaten track holiday with lovely walking. We loved it as tI'd the dogs. Simon and Jennie made us feel very welcome and every need has been anticipated. Will definitely return!
A stunning property in a beautiful and peaceful location
We have just returned from our stay in this fabulous property. It is in a very peaceful area and is surrounded by stunning scenery. The property has been thoughtfully renovated and has everything you require and more. The rooms are large and very comfortable - plenty of room for us and our dog. We had a fabulous week exploring Pembrokeshire - the coast and beaches are spectacular. I highly recommend this holiday home and will be returning with my extended family. Jennie and her family were very welcoming and made our holiday very special. Thank you.
The owners were great to deal with. The property was spotless and very well kitted out. Everything you needed in the kitchen. Brilliant walking and scenery. Very dog friendly beaches pubs etc. A must for a relaxing holiday. A big thank you Jennie and Simon for everything especially the tea coffee milk welsh cakes chocolates and wine on arrival much appreciated.
We would recommand this place highly! Especially for people who look for a quiet and a close-to-nature-like environment. The proprietors, Jennie and Simon are the nicest pair you can meet and are very supporting. They realy want to give you the opportunity to enjoy your time out there. There's nothing negative we can think of and the only bad feeling you get Is when you leave the place. Again, lots of love Jennie and Simon.... and Dylan!
The owners have skillfully managed to retain the historical exterior of these ex-military buildings whilst creating an ultra modern look to the interior. West Angle Bay can be reached by a short stroll over the fields whilst Freshwater West (surfers paradise) is a short car drive away. The Pembrokeshire Coastal Path adjoins the 50 acre site which we were free to wander. Dogs are warmly welcome. The honesty shop (not for profit) was very handy for basic items which can easily be forgotten when packing the car.
We loved this place so much that further stays have already been booked.
Ty Haf was all we could have wished for. Beautiful cottage, spotlessly clean and superbly equipped. The best welcome/information pack we have ever had. So much local and interesting information and a Bird 'catalogue' I would happily have paid for. A lot of thought and work has clearly gone into providing all that guests could want.
It was so peaceful and calming. So nice not to hear any traffic.
We could only stay a few days but would love to return for a longer holiday.
We booked this accommodation because we wanted something a little different and it lived up to our expectations. It is exactly as described and it was extremely clean and well presented. The owners have done an excellent job and have provided everything you need for a self catering holiday. We stay in cottages a lot and this one will definitely go onto our "would like to go again" list. The beach at Angle was great and just a short walk downhill, so we did not need to use the car. Me and my 7 year old enjoyed a swim in the sea, whilst by 6 year old and hubby preferred rock pooling, and playing beach games, so there was something for everyone. We enjoyed to walk from the cottage along the coast path to Freshwater West. The boys were keen to see "the beach where Dobby died." We also enjoyed the walk from Manorbier to Lystep and Lydstep Caverns is quite special. Pembroke Castle and Folly Farm are good if you have children to entertain on the days where the weather is not so good. They were both excellent. We also found the NT Stackpole estate made a good day out and you can access some really excellent sandy beaches from there. So all in all, fantastic, peaceful accommodation which was well position, great access to the coast path and the walk from Angle beach around the headland to Angle harbour is also great. Thanks so much for a great holiday. The games room and honesty shop are also a great addition to what is a perfect base.
Our second stay at Ty Haf, and just as lovely as the first. Superb accommodation and location for a get-away-from-it-all holiday, with wonderful beaches and walks on the doorstep. Jennie and Simon are perfect hosts, and nothing is too much trouble. We look forward to returning later on in the year.
We had an amazing week in Pembrokeshire staying at Ty Haf. The accommodation is outstanding, very well equipped, spotlessly clean and well maintained. We received a very warm welcome from Jennie and Simon who think of everything to make their guests' stay perfect.
Ty Haf is in a stunning, peaceful location surrounded by incredible views of land, changing skies, sea and wildlife, and is only a few minutes walk from the coastal path from where you can enjoy excellent walks into and around Angle or to Freshwater West. Our fabulous walks in the area included Angle, Freshwater West, Stackpole Quay/Bosherton Lily Ponds/Broad Haven/Barafundle, and around Manorbier.
We took our dog who had the time of his life and even received a holiday dog tag to wear while there from Jennie.
I highly recommend this property to all.
Our third stay at TĆ· Haf was as fantastic as ever. It really is a home from home; very comfortable with lots of thoughtful touches from Jennie and Simon. Everything is in excellent condition and we are pleased to say that it is the best holiday home we have ever stayed in.
The location is unique, allowing you to relax and enjoy the views and the wildlife. West Angle bay is a short walk away and is very family friendly with a sandy beach, great rock pools and a lovely cafe. It is just a short drive to lots of other beaches and to Pembroke. Thoroughly recommended.
We have a fantastic stay at Ty Haf.
wonderful walk with our Dog and great trips at Pembrokeshire.
This place is simply breathtaking.
Thank you very much Jennie and Simon
Property to a very high standard. obvious that no expense spared on guest comfort. Location fabulous if a little windy at times. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners but we only saw them if we needed to. Very private and special place. Thank You Jennie and Simon.

We are Jennie and Simon, we live on site with our two children and Dylan the border collie.
We are on-site owners. Our home is 100 meters from Ty Haf, however due to the slope of the land only our roof is visible from the holiday properties. We like to think that we are on hand if you need us but otherwise the land is large enough that we would rarely bump into you.
We are passionate about Pembrokeshire, especially our little corner of it. We think that it's a great place to visit and we want to share it with you.
We moved to Pembrokeshire in 2009 because we fell in love with the land and the history behind it. Jennie had always wanted to live by the sea and the opportunity to buy 50 acres of coastline was too good to miss.
We have spent the last 5 years converting the old military buildings on the site into a home for our family and what will eventually be 3 holiday homes.
This is a unique property. It has been converted from a LORAN station which was a radio navigation system used to track ships and aircraft. This station was in use until 1977.
The whole site was taken over by the Ministry of Defense in 1901 and played a key role in the military defense of the Milford Haven waterway.
As well as being littered with military history the site is also unique as it has not been farmed, this has left a very diverse ecosystem that is designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest. We have protected and rare species of orchids, fungi and birds.
In order to stop the land being overrun by gorse we use horses to graze the site, these horses are free on the land and are definitely our favourite way to keep the grass cut!
