C'est une base idéale pour explorer la région avec de nombreuses belles promenades dans Windsor Great Park et le long de la Tamise à Runnymede. RHS Wisley et Savill Gardens sont à seulement quelques minutes en voiture. Passez une journée à Windsor pour visiter le château. Windsor possède également un théâtre, un hippodrome et il y a le Windsor Eye en été. Parcours Royal Ascot Race en seulement 10 minutes en voiture ou deux arrêts dans le train. Il existe de nombreux terrains de golf dans la région avec le célèbre Wentworth Golf Club juste en haut de la route. Laissez le train prendre la pression et passez une journée à Londres. The appartment is on the owners' property. They are very discreet, but also most helpful. There's everything one needs in the appartment, which is elegantly furbished.The owners were really charming with me, and contributed to me having a great vacation.

Very Comfortable

A lovely little annexe in dreamy Virginia Water. Wonderful host who really went to a lot of trouble to ensure cleanliness and all modern comforts. Having two toilets was very useful too. The bed, linen and towels were all of very good quality and the place was very tastefully decorated. It was quiet and perfectly safe. Highly recommended.

Chalk House

Super location and a wonderful cottage. We have stayed in holidays Cottages all over the British Isles and Chalk House is one of the best. Garden weekend

The aptly named Garden appartment is immaculate, fully equipped and beautifully presented. The hosts,Laura and David, could not be more welcoming and helpful. It is in walking distance to the restaurants and shops in Virginia Water, and to the railway station allowing easy access into London. Recommended unreservably!

My visit

I really enjoyed my 3 day stay at this quiet garden apartment.Laura was very helpful with directions for arrival, friendly and approachable. I have a friend who lives nearby so I was able to catch up with her and we visited The Savill Garden, Virginia Water & Windsor. There are some great walks around and about and the break did me a power of good.

A wonderful annex

A beautiful clean and well equipped appartment, in a brilliant location to visit London and surrounding. Especially for those who prefer a kind of quiet, green and posh neighborhood with all the infrastructure you need. If you're interested in plants, gardening and lots of wonderful parks and forest including Saville gardens, Kew Gardens etc. around you this will be the place! The owners are extremely helpful and nice and we felt like home! We can only recommend this place, Ingrid and Johannes from Vienna 😘

Tranquil Apt in Gorgeous Neighborhood

I could write a brochure about Laura and David's place. It is fabulous! Spacious and quiet, with generous windows that open onto a private garden surrounded by towering hedges, it's a quick walk from the train station. Squeaky clean. Delightful and informative hosts. I was a little nervous about staying outside of London and selected this property based on the reviews. I was a little confused about the area, so I'll take a minute to explain. First, the town is actually "Virginia Water" (that's not a typo) and takes its name from a nearby lake, aka Virginia Water. This lake is in the gigantic park around Windsor Castle, officially known as Windsor Great Park. You can get there on foot (as I did) by walking down the street--it takes less than 30 minutes. Once in the park, there's the lake (Queen Victoria held parties there), miles & miles of trails, pavilions with refreshments, and fabulous gardens. My favorite was The Valley Gardens, 250 acres of woodlands, putting-green styled grass, massive blooming rhododendrons, and moss studded with woodland hyacinths (bluebells to the British). Windsor Castle is at the north end of this park in the town of Windsor. Back to Virginia Water... the houses around this VRBO are monumental, with beautiful gardens. The area felt safe & luxe. A famous golf course is cleverly hidden across the street. I hope this info will put your mind at rest: do not hesitate to book!

We had a fantastic week at this holiday apartment, just perfect for 2 people, it's one of the best we've stayed in. The owners had thought of everything and were very welcoming and informative about the local area and beyond. Close to all amenities shops, restaurants and the train station which you were able to get to London Euston in just 40 minutes. We would highly recommend staying here.

Perfect garden apartment

Perfect in every way for a short stay in Virginia Water. Warm welcome from hosts David and Laura. Apartment spacious and comfortable with everything we needed and the beautiful garden was a bonus. Shops, restaurants and train station all within a short walking distance. Very easy to travel to Ascot and Windsor. Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back to explore more of the area.
