perfect week in the Lakes

We enjoyed the countryside location and the easy access to the A5. Quiet and comfortable. Some quirky features that we learned to use.

Wow it was absolutely fantastic my grandchildren just love the quirky barn It had everything we needed very clean loved the garden and summer house just a brilliant stay

Lovely spacious cottage and garden

We really enjoyed our stay at Swallow Barn on the edge of the Lake District National Park. The property was a great size and nicely laid out. The garden was lots of fun and a great place to relax in the evening either in the garden lodge, on the deck or patio. The location provides easy access to Kendal, Windermere or Keswick plus the wonderful Haweswater just up the road.

Beautiful place

Just returned from a lovely few days at Swallow barn. House was beautiful, clean and well equipped. The weather was lovely, nice garden for the dog to run around in. We had a trip to Ingleton waterfalls about 35min drive away, stunning place I would recommend. Ahmad was very helpful with any questions we had. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful place, Amazing setting!

The Swallow Barn is a beautiful place in an amazing setting. It is well appointed, was very clean, and is a great place for a family. The location is great as we could get everywhere in the Lake District we wanted to go in under an hour. Ahmad is a great host, very attentive, and his communication was great before, during, and after our stay. I would highly recommend Swallow Barn.

Lovely stay in beautiful surroundings.

We spent a week with two couples in this lovely house. The house is spacious, has a nice upper floor with a fully equipped kitchen. The garden is beautifully landscaped and has several places to sit or sunbathe. The Saumtally family is very attentive and quick to respond to any queries. We were very lucky with the weather, sunny every day, and as a result had fantastic hikes in the Lake District.

Great base for a relaxing holiday

We had a fabulous stay at Swallow Barn, it was everything we expected. The cottage is well equipped, clean and tidy. The heating was a god send as it was a bit chilly. The weather was perfect for autumn and we enjoyed lots of walks with our dog in and around the South Lakes. Can’t speak highly enough of this property and the attention to detail. Thank for Ahmad and Andrea.

Perfect, spacious, recomended, ideal

The samutallys have provided such a wonderful space to put your feet up and relax after a long day of being outside, with such a spacious but cosy enviroment to enjoy. It was everything i could ask for in a holiday rental as it has everything...and i mean everything that you could need. Had such a wonderful time with the dogs to, already recommended to family and will definately return in the future. DONT HESITATE GET SWALLOW BARN BOOKED!

Thank you for swallow barn

Thank you for a great place to stay. Went with my mum and we thoroughly enjoyed the relax and shopping and coffee stops. Weather wasnt great at the start of the week but it brightened up and then was beautiful. The barn is well equipped, quiet beautiful location and the views are stunning. What a sunset view in the evening over long sleddale. This is our 3rd time at swallow barn and we will definitely be returning. Sue and Anne

Yes, I already have. Would you consider booking with Swallow Barn again? Yes, it was a lovely place to stay and in a great location. Very comfy bed, very well equipped house; everything we needed was there. I loved the upstairs space, so nice to sit with a drink looking out at the stars.

Beautiful cottage in a stunning location!

We have had a great time with this beautiful little cottage as our base. The location is perfect and the cottage itself is brilliant. Really well equipped and lovely layout and decoration, everything you need and the ensuite shower is amazing! The owner kept in touch so we we're confident of how we check in/out and made sure we were happy with everything! Really great place to stay and can definitely recommend.

Great accommodation for family

It was really good time for our family. Swallow Barn is a great place for family 2+3 . Property provides everything what you need during stay. Very comfortable accommodation, very well equipped. Close to many places you would like to visit Lake District etc . Definitely recommending.

Nice and simple

Nice cottage in a great area for walks and relaxing. The cottage was nice and homely but it could do with some maintenance as the washer wasn’t working and some taps was loose. Short driving distance to the town and lakes which we enjoyed all weekend.

Hi Lewis. The brand new washer dryer that's at the barn was delivered by currys and should have been fitted by them and taken the old one away. They let me down and didn't do it which is why the old one was there and not working so apologies for that- I tried to get you a new one fitted but currys were poor. The taps have worked a little loose as we have just had a brand new worktop fitted in the bathroom and they had to take the sink and taps out to fit it. The plumber hasnt tightened the taps up quite enough so I will get him back to sort that. Thanks for your booking. Cheers

Perfect Getaway

A perfect place for a much needed break. Lovely property, perfectly equipped and located. Great for South Lakes, North Lakes, Howgills, Yorkshire Dales and the Silverdale area. Great communication with Ahmad, really enjoyed our week of walking and wild swimming. Would whole heartedly recommend it. Thank you.

A fantastic little property & a perfect location for The Lake District

Couldn't fault Swallow Barn it was fantastic. Attention to detail is fab, location is amazing, very clean and tidy, lovely big fluffy towels. It's one of the best properties I've stayed in. Perfect place for a family holiday. Thankyou to the owners.

The cherry on top of the icing on the cake

Swallow Barn was every bit as welcoming as it looks in the photos. There were even flowers and chocolates to welcome us! We thought we were off to a good start to our holiday and we we’re wowed every day with the stunning scenery and Sunshine every day, all day. It was our first visit to the Lake District and it definitely won’t be the last. We loved every minute. Swallow Barn was a real home from home, with every convenience at hand. Thank you.

Live in the north west of England with my wife Andrea. We love the lake district and enjoy walking there. Swallow Barn is an excellent place for exploring the lakes and the yorkshire dales. We have a lady who lives locally and looks after the change over and cleaning for guests. She is excellent. She lives near to Swallow Barn and so is immediately available if any problems occur. Swallow Barn is home from home and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

PEACEFUL AND COSY, BEAUTIFUL VIEWS AND GREAT LOCATION WITH PRIVATE PARKING AND A LARGE GARDEN
Your pet is welcome at swallow barn. Our only requests are as shown on the web site advert - that they sleep in hallway/utility room, are not permitted in bedrooms or food preparation areas and that you thoroughly clean up after them daily (especially if they have been on the field/garden). Please don’t leave them unattended at any time at swallow barn. If they are outside please ensure you close the gate to swallow barn and take all measures you need to contain them within the grounds of the property/garden etc and keep a close eye on them at all times. Please also check all boundary walls, fences, gates etc and make sure you are satisfied with their condition for safe containment of your pet within the grounds of the property before you let them out. It is your responsibility to check this to ensure your pet(s) are safe. Thank you.
