We had a lovely relaxing stay in the Villa. It is a short walk from Skala and the beach so very convenient. The Villa itself is well kept and very peaceful and private. We had a great time just relaxing around the pool. We would definitely recommend it and stay again. The local house keepers are very friendly and very helpful.
We stayed at this villa in mid September 2020 (during the three day hurricane) Those who were there will know!
The villa is in a lovely location on the outskirts of Skala town. We timed a 7 minute walk from front door to beach during which you walk past numerous bars, tavernas and supermarkets on Skalas main road.
The villa gives you a feeling of peaceful isolation, as the villa sits in a large wooded area, despite being very close to all amenities. The villa is well laid out with three bedrooms. All feels clean and modern and is kitted out well with alll you need. The pool is a good size and was cleaned regularly during our stay. The owner , Sue, had great communication ensuring our stay was as pleasant and comfortable as possible.
The garden area surrounds the whole villa so sun or shade was easily acessable at any time of the day. We hired a car for the duration of our stay, not vital, but it certainly helped with shopping and visiting some of the further away places on the island.
Overall we had a great stay in a very nice villa and would not hesitate to book again should we visit Kefalonia in the future.
I would also like to point out that the couple who manage the villa on the owners behalf are faultless and could not help enough. No request was to big or small. Great setup and highly recommended.
We really enjoyed our stay in Skala.
The villa was really private and had plenty of room for us. The swimming pool was a welcome relief from the glorious weather we had during our stay.
The villa is on the outskirts of the village, but just a 5 to 10 minute stroll from the bars and restaurants. Skala itself is lovely with plenty of bars and restaurants and a gorgeous beach.
I would recommend the Vangelis boat trips to Fiscardo and the neighbouring island of Ithaka. Both trips had swim stops and plenty of time to explore the fishing villages.
Thanks to Sue for keeping in touch and ensuring everything was well organised.
We hope to be back.
A very well-equipped modern villa in a great location, very quiet and within strolling distance of Skala. The pool is lovely and there are plenty of areas around the villa to either sunbathe or sit in the shade. We stayed for a week and it was very good to have the linen changed and the villa cleaned halfway through our stay.
Lagarda villa is a secluded property in a beautiful dell. The goats nearby ensure vocally that you are in a rural setting. The approach at night on our arrival was tricky. No light to show the way on the steep unmade path approach to the villa. The goats decided to loom out of the darkness to greet us!!! On previous reviews it mentioned "10 minute stroll" to the shops. As senior citizens with mobility issues, trying to stroll in 30 degree heat and 86% humidity in poorly chosen footwear cannot achieve this hilly stroll in this time. Younger fitter guests will not be bothered by the hills and certainly no reflection on the villa's description. We were fortunate to have hot sunny weather but would question the side pergola cover against the rain. The pool was ideal, certainly in the heat. Rescued many a creature during our stay including a kitten belonging to the white cat that lives in the goats' field, who didn't see the pool presumably as the pool lights were broken. My husband was the hero of the moment!!
Skala's shops and restaurants are marvellous and the people very helpful.
If it wasn't for our mobility issues, we would certainly consider returning to the villa
We loved this villa & its' location so much, we went there twice...not something we have ever done before!
Sue was great to deal with, no matter where she was or what she was doing, a reply was received in no time.
The villa is within 10 minutes stroll of all the amenities & beach of Skala & is very secluded & private. Every comfort was catered for, including English plumbing & a generous Welcome Pack.
On arrival at the villa we were greeted by Phil & "Trish" who look after everything with the utmost care & dedication. They're also a mine of information & a lovely couple.
We found that a car was not necessary as there is a good bus service & taxis were readily available & reasonable.
We highly recommend this villa & hope to return in the future.

This is an excellent villa with amazing facilities. The location is perfect with just a 5 minute stroll into town and to the beach.
The owners were so accommodating and couldn't do enough to help. We visited with two young children- one a baby and we found it totally comfortable.
Cannot wait to go back!!

First time stay on a Greek island, and what a perfect choice. Sue was efficient and friendly to communicate with, and very generous. The villa was clean and comfortable. The pool was crystal clear. Perfect location, especially with no car. Taxi service was efficient and friendly. We would most highly recommend
We enjoyed a wonderful week in this gem of a villa. The location is ideal with just a short stroll to the beach or the town whilst also feeling secluded being surrounded by olive trees. It was wonderful to enjoy the pool and Phil and his wife did everything and beyond to make us welcome and comfortable. Everything has been thought of to make your stay easy and enjoyable. It is immaculately cared for. Our three children had the time of their lives and we would all love to return. It was our third visit to Skala, but this accommodation made it a special holiday full of wonderful memories.
Thank you!
