Cet immeuble d'appartements de style chalet est dans une situation excellente au coeur du village de montagne de Barboleuse, à seulement 4 km de Villars. Il est dans un endroit calme avec de superbes vues vers le sud sur les montagnes, mais est à seulement 2 minutes à pied de toutes les commodités dans le village dont un supermarché, des restaurants, une boulangerie / café, de ski et location de vélos, des informations touristiques et train de montagne avec des connexions à proximité de Villars et descendre la montagne à Bex. Il est parfait pour des vacances de ski en famille étant à seulement 2 minutes à pied des télécabines, mais aussi le lieu idéal pour des vacances d'été avec d'innombrables activités de plein air dans la région.

We enjoyed our stay in Barboleuse.The apartment is perfect, relatively large, well appointed. The scenery is fantastic from morning to evening.It's quiet and very convenient with an indoor parking space and the possibility to walk to the train station.We stayed in August and spent a lot of time outdoor, either hiking the mountains, swimming in mountain lakes or visiting Lausanne and lake Geneva.The communication with the owners was smooth and efficient.

Perfection in the mountains

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay; the location between the ski lift and village centre with the most phenomenal mountain vista from the balcony was perfect. The apartment is supplied with everything you need and more. It’s warm, cosy and clean. Our children (age 7 and 9) learnt to ski at Le Chaux, very impressed with the ski school. The bakery, oh my, sooooo good. We’ve had a fabulous week and would highly recommend in any season!

Fabulous apartment and location

The whole family (2 adults and two young children) loved this apartment, the children still keep asking to go back. It offered a lot more space than expected and was very well equipped. Beautiful views. Excellent sound proofing. Perfect car park set up, very easy lift access. Just ideal. 3 mins walk to telecabine and right next to shops. Free laundry facilities in the building and generally just great. Wendy replied instantly to any questions we had too. Highly recommend, we tried to book it again for next year but alas some other clever people have beaten us to it. Thanks for a fabulous family holiday.

What a fantastic apartment! Very clean and well appointed with almost everything you can need for a successful holiday. Warm and cosy with plenty of storage. Great location in the village with all amenities within walking distance. A real "home from home"

Perfect apartment for a relaxing alpine holiday

This was our second stay in this lovely holiday flat. There is so much to do in the area – so many fabulous hikes right on the doorstep, beautiful landscape to explore, and many great restaurants to try. The kitchen is very well equipped, and there is a great boulangerie and a very useful grocery shop a few minutes' walk away. The parking space in the underground garage is spacious and easy to access (not always the case with holiday apartments!). The flat is spotless, beautifully maintained and very comfortable, and the owners are extremely kind and communicative.

Beautiful apartment in perfect alpine location

We had a wonderful week in this pristine, very comfortable apartment. The village has everything you need, including a superb boulangerie, and is perfectly positioned for wonderful walks in the mountains. The apartment, which is immaculate and very well equipped, could not be better positioned for both the télécabines up to the high slopes and for the village itself. The views from the balconies are the best we have experienced in years of alpine holidays, and Barboleuse is so convenient for trips by local train to Villars, Bex, Aigle and Lac Léman. The owners are so helpful and communicative, and supply information on everything that is required for a relaxing holiday.

Beautiful apartment with stunning views

This is a lovely apartment - clean, well maintained, well equipped, comfortable and spacious. There are two balconies with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. It has a good location being near to a cable car, mountain train, small supermarket and cycle shop. We went in the summer and enjoyed walking and cycling. We had to pay a tourist tax but with that we got a free access card to the local cable cars, train, the hire of scooters, swimming in the nearby town of Villars and many other activities. We didn't have a car but were still able to get around and found plenty to do. We travelled from Geneva airport by train and mountain train. We spent some time relaxing at the apartment and enjoying the ever-changing views. Highly recommended !

Delightful apartment

We have now stayed here in both winter and summer and enjoyed both equally. The apartment is spacious and south facing with stunning views across to the Dents de Midi. It is beautifully furnished and equipped with everything you might possibly want during your stay. La Barboleuse is well located for skiing and walking and has great local amenities. We very much hope to return.

Exceeded Our High Expectations

We greatly appreciated this beautiful apartment. I was already familiar with the area from frequent visits many years ago, but I was not aware of just how perfectly situated an apartment in Barboleuse could be! It is only a one-minute walk to the bakery, about the same to the telecabine, and the views are unobstructed to the Dents du Midi, etc from the balcony. Everything in the apartment was immaculate and well-maintained. Many thanks to Howard and Wendy for the thorough instructions and suggestion list for things to do in the area and also for making their lovely apartment available to us.

Beautiful apartment, beautiful surroundings

The apartment is very comfortable, clean and perfectly located. The house is just at the bottom of the slopes , a minute walk from a cable car. In the evenings you cannot be bored, take a relaxing walk in Barboleuse, try local restaurants or take a train to the next village Gryon or Villars. Howard and Wendy are very nice and friendly, they took care that we do not miss anything. Thank you very much for your hospitality. We will definitively come back.

So glad we came!

We have just returned from visiting La Barboleuse - we had an amazing time! Firstly huge thanks to Wendy and Howard the owners for providing such a beautiful, well equipped and very comfortable apartment and for all your tips and advice, everything was easy and very useful - you are brilliant hosts! Could tell instantly that you were very genuine people. I wanted to take my children for a different summer holiday this year rather than the traditional beach, and they were enthralled the whole time by the scenery, accommodation and activities on offer. The apartment is within easy reach of many attractions and land marks, we visited Mt Blanc in Chamonix, you can get to lake Geneva easily too. We visited a glacier and enjoyed tobogganing and a glacier walk in July! The Swiss people are very helpful and family friendly and make everything very easy and enjoyable. All in all would thoroughly recommend the apartment and area to anyone, it was a really fantastic holiday! We didn't have the best weather but it really didn't make a difference to us, and I'm a lady who usually likes to sunbathe so that is praise indeed! We would love to come back in the winter too as the area looks fantastic for skiing! Thank you to Howard and Wendy for sharing your lovely home with us - we will be back! Lindsey robins

Ideal Apartment

This is a clean, bright, modern apartment. We were a family group of five adults and we were very comfortable. The Ski lift is a short, easy walk away in full ski gear and boots. The owners were clear, efficient and friendly in correspondence. Ideal for a family group ski holiday. We would visit again.

I worked as a CFO but am now retired. My wife worked for various charities and is now also retired.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We were visiting friends in the area one summer and suddenly realised this area had almost year round appeal. My wife loves it in the summer and our children love it for the winter sports.
We love being located in La Barboleuse as it away from the crowds, but just minutes walk from all the amenities you might need. The 'bubbles' are just near our apartment and we use them for skiing in the winter or walking in the summer. If we want to go into Villars and don't have a car with us we can either walk or hop onto the mountain train.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

We have never been bored whilst on holiday here. There are so many walks and activities around us. We have spent these years getting to know the mountains around us and have yet to explore around Lake Geneva, just a short drive away. In the winter there are many other resorts that are quite easily accessible from here.
