Very nice villa just few minutes walking from the old town. All three bedrooms are very comfortable and the house in general has everything you might need. Dube and Cvjetko were extremely helpful in organizing our stay. Truely great experience
Everything at this property was perfect! was well appointed, comfy beds. Lots of steps though.
We had a terrific stay at this property. The property managers were wonderful, helping us up the stairs with our bags, and making arrangements to make our stay perfect. The upstairs two bedrooms were beautiful, comfy beds, lots of hot water, great kitchen, washer and dryer, Beautiful views - everything you need. Thanks Dube and Cvjeko!
This is a very nice house with a convenient location just a few minutes walk to the Ploce gate. There are several excellent restaurants very close by, as well as a small cafe and grocery store, all within short walking distance. The house was clean and well equipped and the hosts Dube and Cvjetko were extremely helpful. The outdoor patio is great for a late afternoon glass of Posip or Ozujsko.
As others have noted, the downstairs bedroom can have a musty odor. Also you do need to be able to carry your luggage up the steps from the fire station. Would definitely stay there again.
Bra bostad för upp till 7 pers. Utrustat kök och bra uteplats. FrÀscht i sov- och badrum. Centralt lÀge, nÀra till Gamla Stan, knappt 10 min promenad.

Very nice villa, great location
This villa is very well maintained and in a great location. The kitchen is well equipped, and the bathrooms are modern. The master bath on the upper level is especially nice. The Old City is a short walk downhill from the villa.
The landlords are very accommodating and helpful. They arranged transportation for us to and from the airport, and responded quickly when we locked ourselves out of the property. A very enjoyable stay!
We are six Aussie friends, who had a wonderful four days in this lovely house which is equipped with everything you need to make a perfect stay in Dubrovnik. Whether you want to stay in and laze on the lovely vine-shaded patio, whilst slow cooking a meal in the charcoal weber, or explore the old and the new towns you couldnât choose a better base.
The villa is two minutes from the cable car station, and about 10 minutes into the Old Town. Public buses run from Pile Gate into the new part of the city regularly too.
Our local property managers, Dube and her husband Cjvetko, did everything to help- from helping us up and down the 78 steps with our luggage, to providing great insight into local sites, restaurants and places of interest. Dube even picked us up for a big supermarket and butcher shopping expedition â thank you Dube! We just couldnât do better than our lazy evening meals on the patio!
From a practical perspective the kitchen is well set up with everything you need to self-cater including basic provisions, and there is a great laundry room and clothes drying area as well. There is also a computer and phone for local calls provided by the hosts.
The booking process was very straightforward. Anne and Devon have set up a wonderful website which is full of helpful information, not only about their villa, but about the surrounding area too. We would highly recommend Villa Antipodes to friends and family.
We stayed in the villa for one week. There was four of us - my husband and two teenage sons. The Villa is very comfortable had everything we needed - very clean. Tastefully decorated!!! Good location - close to old town Dubrovnik and some beaches. If you have a car - there is no parking near by - also the only other thing is the stairs for some people - it might be too much. (My parents were suppose to stay with us but the stairs and also the bedroom located on the lower level of the Villa doesn't have air conditioning and a fan didn't quite do the job - also the room had a mild mildew smell - only that room rest of Villa was great air conditioning and no smell. (My parents ended up going to stay in a really nice hotel not too far away.) We had the grocery store deliver a few groceries to us. We had been traveling around Europe for just over two weeks and eating out alot - so it was nice to be able to just relax and eat a few meals out on the terrace! The area has lots of character, very lush - very scenic. The couple that look after the Villa for the owners of the Villa were very helpful - very nice!!! Take good care of us! The owners were also very helpful with any questions we had about the area!!! : D We would definitely recommend the Villa - but if you have any health issues the stairs could be a problem especially in the summer when it is very warm and humid outside. We enjoyed our stay!!!

We loved Dubrovnik and on the whole we were very happy with the villa, which is mostly very comfortable and ideally situated to take advantage of everything the city has to offer. Our stay was let down only by the quality of the ground floor accommodation. The bedroom was dark and dingy, with no aircon and a musty smell, and the ensuite bathroom never quite dried out. In both rooms the decor and equipment were in desperate need of some TLC. I have relayed these comments to the (very helpful) owners and they have said they will take them on board, so I hope by that by the time this review is published these problems will have been rectified.

I was born in Dubrovnik and I spent 20 years living in this beautiful city. Even now living abroad I come to Dubrovnik every year because this is the place where I feel at home. Its magnificient fortress walls, intriguing history, and stunning scenery are extraordinary. Some time ago we took a casual look at what properties were available and came to this beautifull Villa Antipodes. Our manager Dube and her team manage the property to ensure it is kept spick and span and ready for our guests whereever you come from. She can organise to get you to the apartment and will have someone show you where everything is. The computer in the lounge has a dedicated part of our website that gives you lots of information about the villa and there is a printed manual as well. The website also has lots of information on how to find your way around Dubrovnik, and what you can do while you are there.
We love the location of our Villa, in the sought after Ploce District of Dubrovnik. It is quiet and has gorgeous views over the Old Town. We can watch the cruise ships arriving and departing or take an easy walk to the Old Town, the gondola, safe swimming beaches and the port. We never get bored with the array of things to do whether it is walking the Stradun, people watching as we drink a wine or coffee, visiting the sights, kayaking around the Island of Lokrum or taking a boat trip to one of the many islands. Then there are the restaurants with the huge array of dishes. If we want to extend our trips, we can take a bus or boat to Cavtat, a gorgeous town just south of Dubrovnik or go further afield to our favourite Plitvice National Park. It's such a great location in every way!
Five minutes walk and we're inside the stunning fortress walls of Dubrovnik. Our Italian gourmet kitchen allows us to eat at home in luxury inside or out on the shaded courtyard or if our fancy takes us we can walk into own to one of the many restaurants. Our air conditioning ensures we are cool during the height of summer or warm in winter. It's a wonderful place to wake up to, relax during the day and a haven to return to at the end of a busy day exploring the sights of Dubrovnik. The central living area with the extended indoor outdoor living (the middle courtyard) allows for privacy or togetherness. It is a perfect spot for just us or our many friends who want to join us - children, couples or family groups. Spread over 3 floors means it has a wonderful sense of space.
