We enjoyed our stay so much. The property was clean, and the location perfect. We brought our 2yo and had to watch the stairs as they are a little tricky for small legs! Besides that we will definitely be back in the future.

My sister and I started our Italy visit from Stresa/Someraro! This property has the most wonderful view! Perfectly decorated and has excellent amenities! The drive up to Someraro in the middle of stormy night was a bit unnerving but we got the hang of it! Highly recommend planning your stay here!

Stunning views

We had a lovely week in Casa Bellavista. What amazing views! It’s a comfortable property and well located. Really enjoyed the meal at Cardini - tried to go back again on our last night but they are closed on Tuesday. Joanna was great at communicating and gave us lots of really helpful info and suggestions, thank you!

Another fabulous stay!

We all absolutely love staying at Casa Bellavista! The high quality property has everything you want and the views are totally amazing, better than any camera can capture! This was our second stay here and we found plenty of new things to try including the Maggiore 1.8km zip line which was fab! We had a wonderful meal at Cardini's which is 2 min walk from the property with wonderful lake views. We would highly recommend a stay here! Looking forward to our next visit already!

Beautiful views

We loved staying at Casa Bella Vista. The views of Lake Maggiore were tremendous from the house which took our breath away ... really a million dollar view. Everything was clean and functional. The dining area and kitchen are open plan which we really loved. It was also fun to reside in an Italian village for 10 days. The restaurant in the village was also lovely and of gourmet standard.

Perfect week

Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home. The little town is lovely, and there are many easily accessible, and well sign-posted walks in the area. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen well-appointed, and the view spectacular. A week was not enough. Oh, yes, and then there is your host Joanna, who is super responsive and ever so helpful.

If this property is available, reserve it!!

Wonderful home with a roof terrace that can’t be beat, but a lot of stairs due to 4 levels so be warned. Mosquitos were plenty in July so buy repellent. Otherwise a fabulous property overlooking the lake. We enjoyed it tremendously!

Very Nice Stay

The property is located up a hill about 10 mins by car outside Stresa. The views from the terrace over the lake are beautiful. The property is well equipped and spacious. The nearest restaurant to the property is Ristorante Cardini which is a 5 minute walk away - lovely big terrace with a view over the lake , good food, service and fair priced, gets busy so worth booking in advance. Other than that there is a good choice in Stresa

The house with everything - especially a view

This is a wonderful holiday home. It has loads of steps so be aware of that but the roof terrace is the real star of the show with amazing views of Lake Maggiore - we sat there every evening watching the sun set. Joanna is amazing - she suggested trips and restaurants we would never have tried otherwise and they turned out to be highlights of our week in Stresa. The house is beautifully and sympathetically furnished and equipped with everything you could ever need. It's great value and I can't recommend it highly enough.

Wonderful stay!

This house is amazing and one can tell The care and love that was put forth in the restoration. One of the teens proclaimed that it made her feel like a princess. 3 stars for listing accuracy because the 150 euro cleaning fee to be left at end of stay was a surprise although to be fair I didn’t read the fine print . Even going back to the listing I had a hard time catching it. This is a minor critique as everything about this house was lovely.

So pleased you had a lovely time. I'm sorry you didn't see the note about the 150 euro cleaning fee in the advert. The layout of the advert is quite restrictive so the only place where I am able to add the cleaning fee is under the 'house rules' so I do remind all our guests in the Arrival information email I send so they're not shocked on departure. We try to keep our rental rates low to allow for this as we like the cleaner to receive the money in cash. We are so happy you had a lovely few days - next time you must stay longer! Unforgettable accomodation

If you are looking for something special, a special building in a special surrounding, a unique experience in a holiday accomodation, then this is for you. The building is a refurbished old village house, decorated with the most sensitive feeling for style but at the same time keeping its charme. The photos say it allm, they are not "photoshopped", everything is as it is shown there. The view from the roof terrace (and also from the living room by the way) is truly unforgettable. You are tempted to just sit there for the whole holidays and watch the lake, in the morning with its mist, during the day when it becomes active and at night when the lights come up and everything looks like glittering juwels. The accomodation is spacious and very modernly equipped, sleeping rooms are on the ground floor and first floor, living room and kitchen on the second floor. The kitchen has a gas stove and oven, dish washer, there is even a washing machine and dryer which is priceless for families with children. The region itself belongs to the most special in Europe in my view, Alps mountain area with a huge lake and an atmosphere like at the Italian cost with palm trees and exotic fruits, unique combination. Stresa is glamorous, with loads of restaurants and an impressive seafront promenade which invites for walks. Milano is a 1.5 hrs drive away if you want to dive into a big city. Lago Orta is around the corner with picturesque villages where every turn looks like from a travel guide. The host is good as gold, as other reviews mention as well, responding quickly, friendly, helpful, as you wish a host to be (but rarely experience it). If you have a larger car do follow the instructions in the very valuable welcome pack.

Fantastic view; great accommodations; wonderful host!

We had a lovely stay in Someraro. This property had everything we needed for a family of 4 and it was very nicely remodeled. A bit of a caution if stairs are an issue, as this home has three different levels, but that's also what allows for the gorgeous view from the living and kitchen area. The stairs were easy to navigate and not a problem for us at all. The master bedroom is on the main floor as you walk in. It has a very spacious and beautiful bathroom. The next level has the two other bedrooms which were spacious, along with a full bath to share. The top floor is where you will find a kitchen and the living room which has ample, very comfortable seating and a nice dining table. There is also a half bath on this floor. We didn't do a lot of cooking besides a simple breakfast, but the kitchen seemed to have everything one would need. The host was very responsive both before and during our trip and provided a lot of helpful information about the area in her welcome/check-in email as well as in a very comprehensive book in the home. I will note it was about a 30 minute walk (down hill) to Stresa and a 35 minute walk (up hill - fairly steep) back to the home in Someraro. We did this one day and it was a significant but doable walk. However, the host can provide the number of a driver in town who will pick you up and drive you to Stresa and take you back for the return trip too. The drivers seem to help each other out. If one isn't available they will contact a colleague and get you where you need to go. We found this to be very easy to do and used the drivers in the evenings. We were very happy with our stay and would stay here again!

De très bons échanges avec les hôtes; très réactif : parfait;La maison ancienne située dans un petit village sur la colline surplombant le lac a été entièrement refaite avec beaucoup de goût et de grande qualité. Sur 3 étages, de vastes chambres et un très grand cuisine/séjour avec un escalier pour accéder à une terrasse d'environ 15 m2. Magnifique séjour. Merci à Joanna.

We both live and work in England but share a passion for travel and exploring the sights and sounds of other countries. Before we got together, Jonathan backpacked round the world for a year and wrote back home every month telling us all about the exciting destinations he was exploring. Aside from travelling, we both love cooking, our weekly yoga classes, learning the Italian language and fitness. Jonathan is crazy about golf and Graphic Novels (comics) while Joanna is crazy about all kinds of literature, especially the classics. We both love walking in the countryside and above all, we love having fun! We are most at home when we're in the mountains or by the sea. Beautiful locations are what make us smile, along with our beautiful daughter Isabella Sophia, who was born on 1st April 2011.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We bought Casa Bellavista in 2006, the year we got engaged. I have been visiting Italy with my family since the age of 13 when I first fell in love with this magnificent country. In 2006 Jonathan proposed to me by the Trevi Fountain in Rome and it was at this point that Italy for me was firmly established in my mind as the most romantic country on the planet! We spent an exhilarating few weeks as a newly engaged couple, exploring Italy by train and falling more and more in love with the country and each other. We both love everything about Bella Italia; the food, the people, the culture, the stunning scenery, the shops, the weather, the list is endless! Lake Maggiore has to be one of the most romantic lakes in the world and for this reason, we looked for a property here.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

When we first found Casa Bellavista it was a derelict wreck, but we could see the potential. Set in the picturesque village of Someraro, once we stepped foot in the house we knew we couldn't leave without signing on the dotted line! It was the scariest thing we have ever done, but the most exhilarating. It took over three years to complete Casa Bellavista, with the help of a fantastic architect and builder, but we got there in the end. Casa Bellavista offers the romance and tranquillity we craved and yet it is so near to so many fantastic attractions. We have made friends with the locals and are now able to converse with them in our pigeon Italian! We hope our guests will feel as at home in Casa Bellavista as we do. It really is set in one of the most beautiful locations in the world!
