Affordable Family Place

The Howell's Nest was a nice affordable condo. It had very comfortable beds and updated decor. It was also close to the pool and to the other amenities. We would stay there again.

Great Condo For Disney/Universal

The condo was perfect for our Disney/Universal trip. It was clean, updated, and had very comfortable beds! It's proximity to the parks was so convenient. The owner was great to work with and answered any questions I had prior to arrival. I would definitely recommend this condo and would book again myself for our next trip to Orlando.

Very nice and clean!

We really enjoyed our stay! We didn’t spend much time here because we were at Magic Kingdom and visiting other areas, but it was very nice and clean! It was spacious enough for our family of four. The beds were also comfortable. It’s a gated community and we felt very safe. This place is close to everything! I would definitely rent again.

Clean and convenient Disney stay

Clean and comfortable stay. Bed was comfortable, towels are nice, came with a few of the basic necessities like paper towel, dish soap, detergents, etc.which was plenty for us for a few days stay. Access to elevator to load and unload. Nearby to parks. Responsive, even in after hours. We were parents with a two year old and it was a great fit for our needs.

Very pleased with our stay

I came to town for my daughter's volleyball tournament for Nationals at the Orange County Convention Center. It was about a 25-45 min drive depending on the route you chose to take. If you're staying with small children, this condo was equip with a highchair, playpen, 2 full size beds with a playstation, books. For us moms, there were 2 blow dryers! Lots of Tupperware, dishes, washer/dryer. This home has a lot. Felt safe, and the pool was amazing as well.

Great value, close to parks, beautiful spacious condo

I'm so happy I found this condo! I had reviewed the site multiple times for months to get an idea of possible options before we were able to lock in our vacation dates with our busy family! This condo was exactly how it was described and then some. The pictures do not do it justice! It's simple yet beautiful and very family friendly! We loved how close we were to the parks! The pool was wonderful! We will definitely look for this condo first for availability if we visit Orlando again! The booking was easy and the check in simple and friendly! The condo was very clean!! Best choice I've made on a place to stay in a long time!

Would definitely return!

Property was perfect for our family of 4! So close to Disney and other attractions. Mary was more than accommodating with my many questions and gave me some very helpful hints. Condo was clean and had most everything we needed for 10 days. The only thing kitchen was lacking was a microwave but we managed without one. The kids were able to enjoy the pool on site but we were so busy at other attractions we had no idea of all the amenities right on site (until we read the brochure).

Great condo!

This condo is perfect for a small family. Very clean and updated. Comfy couch and living area! Our instructions to the door lock were wrong in the email and had no # to call other than the owner, but she was a life saver to help us get it figured out. So be sure you have a 6 digit # for the code. Otherwise it will be wrong. About a 20 minute to Disney and a 45 min-1 hr drive to Universal due to th3 traffic. Great places to eat nearby and very close to Walmart. Would definitely stay here again if we ever go back to Disney!

Nice Stay, But..

The condo is beautiful and has everything you could possibly need for your stay. The check in process was super easy and this location is very close to Disney. However, this area is insanely busy in the middle of October. I cannot imagine how it must be during peak times. Traffic was overwhelming, and you would sit through several lights before being able to turn. The Walmart, while super close and convenient, was even crazier. Universal is about 35 minutes from here and there is always stop and go traffic on I-4. The white bath towels at the condo were stained, one had blood on it and one had brown mud-like smears. I washed them all before we used them and the stains did not come out. There are tiny ants in the kitchen, which I realize are common in Florida, but keep all of your food in the fridge. The door has an anti-lock out feature, so double check the door is locked before you leave for the day. The fridge wasn't working when we arrived but my husband fixed it. The next day we found out the bathroom sink was clogged. He tried to fix that too, but we left a message for the property manager. She did not respond so the next day I called the 24/7 number and they had a guy out within a couple of hours! It was a nice condo, beautiful pool area, but it was just too congested for us. We will be choosing another area if we return.

Great location but needs a deep clean.

This is my first experience using a VRBO but we have stayed at condo rentals many times. 15 minutes to Magic Kingdom, 25 to Universal and 45 to Legoland, which is where we spent each of our days. So it was a great location. Nice pool, arcade, grounds. Wal-Mart and delicious pizza place both within a 5 minute drive. This unit needs some deep cleaning though and some air conditioner maintenance. A/c was broken on arrival. It was a miracle it got fixed on a Sunday night within 2 hours of calling. I am not confident the unit was cleaned much before we checked in. Bathroom rugs, sheets, unknown hair on floor, dust and dirt on kitchen counter and table, among other things. Very dirty tile grout. We have young kids so I look at these things. I might try VRBO again but not this unit. I recommend a deep clean and a thorough review of all appliances. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Wow I'm completely shocked to hear this! Cleanliness is at the top of my list of requirements and we've always had fantastic reviews with regard to that. I'm curious about what the issue was with the appliances since they are all new, but of course I will have each concern researched and addressed. The AC has had a major overhaul as well and has been maintained so we will have to look into that also. Glad you enjoyed the property anyway and best of luck vacationing in the future!

Relaxing Getaway!

My husband and I stayed a little over a week and had a great time. The condo has been updated, was well maintained, and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. You will need to bring pool towels and wash rags. When we arrived, the master bedroom TV was not working properly, so we emailed the owner and property manager and they had someone out within an hour or so to fix it. Two of our friends came and stayed over a long weekend and they were impressed with the condo and were very comfortable in the second bedroom. They had more than enough room in the large, second bathroom. We spent most of our time swimming and relaxing at the clubhouse pool. The clubhouse food is excellent. The condo is near restaurants, shopping, and the Disney parks. Mary was great to work with. We highly recommended this condo!

We enjoyed our stay. The location is close to all of the Disney parks. There are many restaurants and shopping locations nearby. The community pool at the condo resort was clean, good sized, with a fun water slide. We also enjoyed the castle themed playground. The resort also offered a game room, ping pong and pool tables, a snack shop, and business center we used for printing our airline boarding passes. We would recommend staying here!

Perfect Home Away and Alternative to Themeparks

I will start out by saying that I am a Disney fanatic. I will forever compare every hotel/condo to Disney and their excellent reputation and standards of hospitality and cleanliness. After staying at Howell's Nest, I can say without hesitation that this is an ideal condo for folks looking for something that is not in the theme parks. We are so happy we were able to rent it! The condo itself is updated, extremely clean, and welcoming. It was perfect for our family of 4. Our children enjoyed their own bedroom (the books and gaming system are a nice bonus, which they really liked). The bed in the master bedroom is so comfortable. My husband commented that the condo itself is actually bigger than the pictures might lead you to believe. We really enjoyed the screened in porch as well (something none of the Disney resorts offer). It was great to put the kids to bed and be able to enjoy the Florida weather, without needing to worry about bugs/critters because of the screened in porch. We were able to cook meals a couple of nights, making use of the well appointed kitchen, and being able to wash laundry is so convenient. As for the resort itself, the pool is fantastic - the water was so warm. Parking and getting in and out of the resort was easy. There are many stores and restaurants nearby. There will be a brand new Walmart literally within a few blocks of the main entrance to the resort soon as well. I highly recommend this condo. Mary is super easy to work with, and always responds quickly to questions.

Nice unit, clean, lovely community. Close to the parks if that's what your vacation is about!

Clean, beautifully kept community. Gated. Different types of rental properties. Our one suggestion would be to update entrance through the gates. Maybe a temporary sticker for the car which will be deactivated after departure.

Good family time (part 7 at Windsor Hills)

Thanks for sharing your condo for great family time, even if the boys are 17 and 19 they loved the place. thumbs up for the Ps3 and smart TV in the second bedroom!!! good to keep the kids busy on those slow start morning enjoying a good coffee on the balcony. Your condo as everything to cook good meals, well furnished and very clean.

Great condo!

The check in was easy and quick. The condo was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The condo had everything that you could need to prepare a meal. The only things I could say for a better stay was to have ice trays filled for next person as fridge freezer does not have an ice maker. Otherwise we were very comfortable and would definitely recommend this condo. The resort looked in good condition as well.

Trouble with knowing how to operate things in the condo

We had trouble "ALL" week not knowing how to operate the TV and the coffee maker. It would have been GREAT if instructions had been available to tell everyone how to operate a "smart" TV and the keurig. I have a keurig, but it wasn't like the one we use, and there were NO instructions as to how to operate it nor how to operate the TV. Also there was a street light right outside our bedroom window that kept coming on and off all night every night. This was disturbing. None of the others did this, so why did this one do it? We came to this area and chose this condo to rest (which to us meant watching TV and drinking our coffee), but we were not in a restful state after discovering that we didn't know how to operate the TV or the keurig. We didn't even do the "Disney" thing. We just wanted "warmer" weather (which we had) and rest and relaxation. We couldn't really enjoy our stay because of the trouble we had "trying" to learn the TV and keurig. Simply stating - instructions would have been nice as to how to operate everything. Also, there were no instructions as to what to do about the dishes or the garbage. We have stayed in a number of condos, and from what we had experienced in the past, we made sure the dishes were clean and put away and that the garbage was taken up and put outside, but some instructions would have been nice as to what needed to be done. None of the above should have been left to "chance". Simple instructions would have been nice to make our stay enjoyable. We did make the best of a "BAD" situation, but I cannot in good faith suggest this place to friends and family. We have stayed in the Kissimmee area a number of times through the years, but this place doesn't leave a good "taste in my mouth". We will look for something else in the future. We had never in all the years of travel we do, experienced anything like this and hope we never do again. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE - have instructions for any major thing that needs to be explained. NOT EVERYONE KNOWS HOW TO "WORK" A SMART TV OR A KEURIG. PEOPLE ARE USED TO "PLAIN" TVs AND PLAIN COFFEE MAKERS. ESPECIALLY PEOPLE OUR AGE. Rant over, will try to put this behind us and move on with life. Just thought you needed to know these things.

So very sorry to hear that you had this experience Jerry. I really wish you would have reached out to me or to our Property Manager, who is available 24/7 for any concerns whatsoever. Their phone number is on the guest notebook located on the writing desk, and I am typically available. Each of your concerns could have very easily been addressed. I will comment on each one in order to hopefully improve the experience for our guests (as we are always looking to do) and help others understand that your experience has certainly not been the norm. The Keurig is a mini and slightly different from the larger machines, we will absolutely add directions to assist guests. I love my coffee too! I will contact Windsor Hills about the street lamp you mentioned, I can see how that would be annoying. The TV is definitely a smart TV, and there are hand printed labels on each remote to assist guests, but I think further instructions are a great idea. As far as the garbage, there are very clear directions in the white notebook on the desk left for guests with detailed information about the operation of the condo in addition to the resort. Again, simply reaching out would have cleared up the majority, if not all, of your issues very easily! Thanks for the suggestions and best of luck in the future! Sincerely, Mary

This was our second stay at Windsor Hills, and we were pleased to find this clean, stylish, and comfortable unit. Mary is great to work with; she is extremely prompt and attentive. I would definitely recommend her unit to a friend.

My husband, Dan, and I live on the Gulf Coast of Florida....born and raised Floridians! I a full time Mom after working in Investment Management for 16 years, and the school system for over 6 years. My husband is an Insurance Advisor. We have two teenagers. Peyton, 16 and Chelsea, 15.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We love the Florida beaches but take frequent trips to Orlando with our kids. Rather than pay for inflated hotel prices that don't accommodate our family properly (we need a full kitchen! ) we decided to buy a vacation property to use and rent out. We take pride in our "2nd home", and did plenty of research on the resort, how well it's maintained, our building and proximity to Disney and the Theme Parks we love.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

One thing I find disturbing is how vacation rental pictures can be deceiving. Either the resort is run down and ill maintained, or the unit has not been updated, cared for or deep cleaned in years. This is our ONLY property that we use on a frequent basis, and I am extremely picky about décor, cleanliness and maintenance. The resort is truly a gem and fantastic value among the run down resorts you will find in the area, and our unit is our baby. We have given it lots of love and hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
