Beautiful property inside and out. It perfectly accommodated our two families needs. The pool was a huge hit for all ages.
We enjoyed bird and gator watching.
Glen Lakes is very lovely and very large...one can get lost going on walks through the expansive neighborhood.
Conveniently located just outside the neighborhood is a Publix grocery store, a Dunkinâ Donuts and a gas station.
We would definitely stay there again.
Super clean property with a very homey feel to it. The owner also spends some time in it and has a number of personal photos and other interesting items that give the interior warmth. We paid for heating of the pool, the pricing for it was reasonable and improved our comfort tremendously. The property is not close to the beach, but with the pool like (and also - in the times of COVID-19) that it did not really matter. We brought most of the foods with us and found enough pots and pans to make meals ourselves. For a quick grocery shopping, Publix is 3 minutes away.
Overall, a great experience. Highly recommended!
I wanted to send you a note of thanks for such a wonderful stay in your home in Florida
As a family of 6, we need to get away to the warmth from the cold in England, and it was a perfect winter sunshine break for us.
I brought with me my parents and 2 âkidsâ who are nearly adults who want to âdo their own thingâ.
We enjoyed the peace and quiet of your beautiful sitting room while they were able to enjoy the TV & games in the more relaxed lounge near the kitchen.
There were lovely separate suites for them both and my parents, and my parents enjoyed being in their own space in order to have afternoon naps etc
We did kayaking with the kids which was absolutely amazing â we saw Manatees and birds and flowers which we couldnât believe.
My husband and I also did some shooting â a first for me â and it was safe and exciting
Thank you, Graham for all the care you take over making it a perfect holiday home for us âsnow birdsâ
We hope to book again with you every year
Warmest regards

We really enjoyed the pool with our grandchildren, 3 and 2. It is a beautiful setting, private but convenient. The house was clean and the owner very responsive when we needed to get in touch.
The house is very spacious. Pets are allowed in the rental and the renters before us had left marks of their pets which the host offered to have cleaned during our stay. The pool was beautiful and the spa. The lanai needed pressure washed. The area is beautiful and quiet. There was a picture of the back of a naked woman in the office which we were surprised by since we were there with our children. The grill on the lanai was easy to use. The host was helpful but is very particular in directions around the house.
The property is situated in a very nice community close to stores and some dining. The property is extremely dated with peeling wallpaper in some areas.
The carpet is white in the living, hallways, bedrooms and family room and is very stained and dirty looking. The house has numerous knick knacks throughout. The house appears as if the owners still live there as the house contains closets of clothes, shoes , flip flops by the pool and other personal items in the bathrooms. The pool area floor is dirty and the lounge chairs are moldy and decades old.
The house is roomy and contains plenty of space for a family.
The refrigerator and freezer had left over food items in them although sealed, just seemed like that should have been thrown out.
The dishwasher did not work. Owner, when contacted, wanted us to contact his repair man and wait for him to come and fix. We did not as we were on vacation and didn't want to waste time with a repair person.
The cleaning person called the house line and wanted to know if we were leaving early on Saturday as she wanted to get an early start. We stated that we would be out by the designated time which was 11 am. We actually left at 930 , alerted the cleaning person, and left. During the talk with the cleaning person, she stated that 2 previous renters ago had left the property dirty and gross. She stated that they had broke the microwave door, tried to glue it and screwed it back into place and got glue all over the new stove. The handle came off again as we were there and we left it for the repair person to handle.
Upon returning home we received a $300 charge for damage to the carpet (already stained and disgusting), the microwave door, and a missing dart board. None of this happened on our watch and we were furious over the charge and demanded a refund of said charge. As of yet, no refund or contact.
As explained by the cleaning person, these items were damaged long ago. I wonder how many renters have been charged for the same repairs? Seems like someone is scamming a few hundred bucks each time a renter rents. I would recommend this area for rental but would not ever recomend this owner.
We enjoyed our 2 week stay the property was accurately described and Graham was very responsive.
The oit side pool area needs to be cleaned and the pool furniture cushions are weathered and stained, probably need to be replaced. The pool was clean and the heat for the hot tub and pool worked great!
We enjoyed our stay in the Glen Lakes home. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. The only negative I would have is the home is very outdated. Lots of wallpaper (peeling from age), outdated furniture, fixtures and decoration. The cleanliness of all superseded that for us though. We enjoyed relaxing in the pool/hot tub A few evenings as we grilled dinner. With Covid we werenât able to experience the Weeki Wachee but did go to Pine Island Beach. We were surprised it was a man made beach you had to step into Over wood ties rather than walk out so we didnât stay nor visit that beach again. Unfortunately we had to drive to Clearwater area for a natural beach and weather was against us most of our week totaling to only maybe 1.5 hours of beach time for the week. We met a very pleasant woman who lives across the street who welcomed us several times and the neighborhood is very secure and well maintained. My only wish were that there were a natural beach closer. Iâm sure once the Weeki Wachee activities are fully open again, there is much fun to have in the area. I Would definitely recommend staying at Grahams home to my friends and family.
This property was perfect for our family of 4. The neighborhood is very pretty and there is a grocery store very close by. It is within 20 minutes of many things to do. Be prepared for tight security Getting into the neighborhood -but thatâs not a bad thing!! Overall a great stay!
Overall we enjoyed our stay. The house is very spacious and was clean on our arrival. We paid extra for pool heat, which wasnât enough to heat up the pool to a useable temperature until the temp outside warmed up to 80 on the last three days of our stay (the heat only runs for limited hours during the day). We had hoped to spend time at the beach but the only close beach was a small park that wasnât really a proper beach. To really get to a beach we had to drive south for almost 90 minutes. With kids this wasnât an ideal stay since we were so far from anything to do outside the house (except Homosassa Park which was neat), we actually booked a night at a hotel in Tampa in the middle of our week here to avoid too much driving. Also there is a huge picture of a mostly naked woman in the office, which we unfortunately didnât notice before the kids. They office doors can be closed to keep this out of sight. Also the beds were not very comfortable. Overall when we could use the pool it was fun, but otherwise it felt like we were paying double what we should have been for a house so far from a beach or any attractions.
Myself and a couple of buddies stayed for a week in early October to golf nearby courses. It was a great location as we had no more than a half hour to World Woods, Southern Hills Plantation and Black Diamond Ranch. It was very warm for late October so the beautiful swimming pool was a welcome site and the Hot Tub did the trick. It is a very nice home with everything one would need. The home was very clean upon arrival and the check in process was a breeze. I hope to come back some day in the near future.
Beautiful neighborhood, and great large home! Owner was very nice, and attentive. The home is very well appointed with everything you need for your group. Our family had a great time! There is guest book with tips and rules, and menus, such a great help! Everything is close by, restaurants, recreational activities, you name it. This place was home base, and so large it is extremely comfortable, even with a large group!
The villa is spacious and very well equipped. 3 bathrooms are ideal and provide lots of privacy for guests. The grounds are attractive and meticulously maintained, both at the villa and throughout Glen Lakes as a whole. Glen Lakes is a fully gated community with professional and pleasant security staff. Did not use the pool at villa but certainly enjoyed the heated jacuzzi. Modern appliances and excellent TVs with HD and multiple channels. Large private office was an unexpected bonus. Enjoyed viewing the large pond in backyard with fountain and the Sand Hill cranes were entertaining. The Clubhouse is about a 5 minute walk from the villa and we used the heated pool and restaurant (good quality and reasonably priced). There are several reasonably priced golf courses nearby and we played Silverthorne, World Woods, Hernando Oaks and Brooksville often. A couple of other courses, that we will not mention, were not in great shape. Weather was great for golf from the arrival date (January 15) through departure date (April 1).
There are many great restaurants nearby and our favorites were the Bonefish, Ruby Tuesdays, Applebee's, Longhorn and Chilies.
Although the landlord (Graham aka Harry) was out of the country during our stay he was only an email away and quick to respond to any queries.
If you are looking for a great vacation spot in a large villa this is a great spot.
This is a lovely villa that feels like a home on a very well maintained and secure golf complex. The villa has everything you could possibly need with the benefit of a very good supermarket and shops within a minutes drive from the entrance.
The golf club is easily accessible with a wonderful 25 m pool for serious swimmers.
The local area is much quieter than the Tampa area, so great if you are looking for a relaxing break.
Would thoroughly recommend kayaking at Crystal River and the airboat tour at Homosassa is a must.
The owner was always accessible and very helpful. The villa was very clean and the check in process incredibly easy, just what you want after a long flight.

An Excellent Villa in a Great Location.
The villa lives up to its description and is very well appointed. The pool has a pleasant view and isn't overlooked by nearby properties.
Graham is very efficient at answering any queries and his instructions on how to find the villa, plus the book inside the villa explaining how to work everything, were very comprehensive and clear. On arrival the villa was spotlessly clean. Probably the cleanest one we've rented.
The gated community is safe and very friendly and it's common to see people walking, running or cycling around it. The villa is also an easy 5-10 minute walk from the main clubhouse so eating out there saved a drive on several nights. The clubhouse served some of the best food we've experienced in Florida and their prices were reasonable. (Their 2 for 1 drink offers on most nights helped). It closes quite early, about 9pm, but if you're in before about 7.45 to order there's no rush to get you out. It was a friendly place with good staff and Graham's social membership cards allow you use the gym facilities too.
Nearby shopping is very convenient. There is a large Publix under a mile away at the very next turn off from the highway (some locals walk there, apparently). Two Walmarts are within a 15 minute drive and for serious shopping there is the Tampa mall, which takes about an hour to reach, and an outlet mall a similar distance south. There are the usual restaurant chains fairly close by but it's not as built up or bustling as the Orlando area so we never had to wait to be seated anywhere.
A few miles south is the Weeki Wachee state park with a few attractions and renting a canoe or kayak to paddle down the Weeki Wachee river is recommended. It's beautiful and an easy paddle too, as the current does the work and you get picked up downstream and driven back to your car. The Homosassa state park about 20 miles north is also well worth visiting with a decent selection of animals along with the manatees. There's wildlife around the villa too: Sandhill cranes walk by, the occasional turtle, and I videoed a 4ft snake right outside the pool area having a difference of opinion with a bird. (The bird won in the end). No alligators were seen but apparently they do make an appearance. We didn't get to many of the beaches so can't comment. The nearby Pine Island beach is very small but we're told there are bigger and better ones nearby.
The outdoor kitchen in the superb pool area with the Jacuzzi was a great feature.
Highly recommended.
Hi. We bought a wonderful French Farmhouse over 26 years ago and have spent a lot of time effort and money on making it into a typical French Charentaise Farmhouse set in a beautiful quiet part of rural France. Please see Ref 8049101.
We have now bought this wonderful villa with pool on the west coast of Florida to add to our collection and are hoping that visitors can enjoy both homes, each individually different and set in superb locations.
We bought this villa on the West, Gulf coast of Florida this year as we loved coming to Florida with the family, enjoying the Theme Parks and beaches, and of course the 365 day a year sunshine! We chose the Gulf coast, to get away from the hustle and bustle of busy, cosmopolitan, touristy Orlando and looked for a beautiful large home close to the beach in an area that is so much quieter and not commercialised. We found it here, in Weeki Wachee. Wonderful, friendly people with outstanding golf and swimming/beach activities for everyone.
Our home offers you the ability to quietly enjoy the pool, jacuzzi and wonderful sunshine on a quiet residential community with a wonderful Clubhouse, and the opportunity to explore the fantastic beaches, rivers, wildlife and nature all around you, on the same holiday. Not forgetting, for those of you that indulge and play a round of golf or two, make sure you try out the communities own superb 18 hole course.
