Escapade en cabine avec vue spectaculaire sur la montagne Whiteface, Ă  moins de 4 miles de Whiteface Mountain et Ă  seulement 20 minutes de Lake Placid. SituĂ© en face de la riviĂšre Ausable et Ă  proximitĂ© de la route DEC pour accĂ©der Ă  la branche ouest de la riviĂšre. Enroulez autour du porche avant (dont la moitiĂ© est couverte) et ouvrez le terrain idĂ©al pour les activitĂ©s de plein air, y compris le foyer. 3 chambres Ă  coucher, 2 salles de bain et marcher au niveau infĂ©rieur. Le niveau infĂ©rieur comprend une salle de jeux (table de billard combo), une chambre Ă  lits superposĂ©s, une chambre avec un lit queen et une salle de bain complĂšte. Wonderful stay in a cozy cottage - highly recommend

We had an absolutely lovely time in this cozy house. The owners thought of everything - comfort, entertainment, etc . The layout is great, location can't be beat.Our family loved our stay and highly recommend the location.

Wonderful, Relaxing Stay!

We had a great stay here over the July 4th holiday. The house was perfect for us a we like to be close to Lake Placid and Wilmington, but away from the crowds. The house is located in a secluded, quiet area. We enjoyed the wrap around porch for morning coffee, the large front yard for games as well as the firepit at night. Would highly recommend staying here.

Serene escape in the woods

My family and I had a fantastic experience staying at your house. It was well maintained and ideally situated for us to explore the surrounding area. Quick car ride to Lake Placid and close to hiking trails as well. The beds were very comfortable and the kids loved the loft area. Great firepit outside as well. We definitely recommend this house for families of 4-6 people.

A lovely, quiet spot.

The house was set on a lovely spot that was secluded, yet close to Wilmington (not walkable, but we didn't expect that). It was also bigger inside than the outside led us to believe. Plenty of sleeping space, a ping pong table on the lower level, and a spacious porch with portions covered and uncovered which was great for reading, chatting, board games, meals.

Tranquil retreat

The cabin was perfect for our needs. We stayed there for the Lake Placid Ironman and wanted a peaceful location outside of town. Travel to and from Lake Placid on race day was somewhat challenging for my friends/family staying with us but not insurmountable. The host was very responsive and easy to communicate with. I loved sitting out on the porch drinking coffee every morning. The gorgeous 20 minute drive to town was worth it in exchange for the serenity of the cabin. Would definitely stay here again!

1st year wedding anniversary

Overall it was very nice, very close to things to do, quiet and surrounded by woods which was lovely! Had a couple dead mice we found in traps on the mantle that looked like they had been there a while so it could have been a bit cleaner but overall very nice!

Great base for daily kayaking adventures

This house was perfect for our daily kayaking trips to different Adirondack lakes and ponds. It had plenty of room for 7 adults; everyone was comfortable, the kitchen allowed us to make delicious meals, and the porch provide an ideal spot to plan our days in the morning and relax in the evenings. We had a couple small hiccups, and Alan was quick to help us out. He was great! We highly recommend this property.

Great Stay!

My family came up for the Ironman Race. The house was wonderful and Alan was very responsive. We also rent our second home as a vacation home, and we really appreciate the attention to detail. The house was clean and had everything we needed. It was 1.4 miles from the Ironman course so my family could cheer me on. We would definitely rent again!

Great stay in winter wonderland!

The property is perfectly located for skiing at White Face and numerous snowshoeing trails. The cabin/house is great for a one or two families. We had a great vacation!

Great ski getaway

Lovely house on private lot convenient to “town” and Whiteface. House was clean and large with plenty of sleeping options and area for kids to claim as playroom. We would definitely book again for our next visit.

Do not hesitate to book ! The house is so cool. Nice views of the mountains. Calm area but close to everything. Beds are great. Living room very confortable and cosy. Kitchen well equiped. Perfectly located to visit adirondacks. Alan was very responsive and answered to all our questions. Glad we stayed there. It was a perfect holiday.

This is a lovely home/ cabin, with all great furnishings and amenities. The huge porches are wonderful. It's a prime location with awesome adventures in all directions. Owner was very responsive when we had an issue. Needed better direction w/ the flu. Highly recommend the place and would definitely return.

Cabin perfect

Just completed a week stay and it was very enjoyable. Clean well appointed and located in a quiet spot. Beds were comfortable, kitchen had all the things you need, and plenty of chairs to relax outside on the spacious deck or around the fire pit. The cabin is located just down the road from a good fly fishing spot with ample parking. Charcoal grill so plan accordingly. Again, a great place to stay and a very well run operation.

A peaceful getaway

We really enjoyed our stay at Ausable Meadows. The location was very peaceful with a great wraparound porch to relax and enjoy the Adirondack air. Amongst beautiful wildflowers that my two daughters were thrilled about. The road is not heavily travelled and the open property surrounded by forest had a very nice breeze. Even though there was no air conditioning, each room had fans and there was a large ceiling fan that circulated the air very well. We never felt hot on a week in the middle of July. We really enjoy the family atmosphere of Wilmington for our Adirondack stays and this house was a perfect spot near everything. Definitely recommend it.

Loved this house!

We loved staying here. We had two adults and two kids, and there were many sleeping options. The kids loved exploring the house and playing in the yard and on the porch. The house was easy to find, and is located very close to the town although the house itself feels very secluded. Would definitely stay here again!!

We had a wonderful time at the Cabin, and would definitely consider it again next time.

My family + another family (4 adults & 3 kids total) all fit very comfortably in this cabin. We cooked 2 meals and had plenty of room at the dining room to seat all of us. The 3 kids all slept in the loft upstairs and the adults split the main bedroom and the bedroom in the basement. There was plenty of room for another 3 kids at least. The location to Whiteface Mtn was great, only 4 miles away down the main road which took us about 10-12 minutes to drive. The town of Lake Placid is about a 30 minute drive from the house too and worth the trip. We are at 2 excellent restaurants Lisa G’s and Smoke Signals which we’re recommended too by some locals in the area we met skiing. We cooked 2 meals at home and had plenty of room at the dining room table for all 7 of us. It is a cozy home and the new ping pong table was a big hit as well. The 2 full baths were fine for all of us, and we had fun playing games in front of the fire. Overall, a great place to stay if visiting the area, and we’d go back again for sure. Alan was quick to answer any questions we had too. Thank you Alan!

Fantastic Experience!

Absolutely beautiful home and property with wonderful amenities. I was there with my family for a ski trip at Whiteface Mountain which is a very easy drive from the house. We all had a great time and I will rent the home again, the next time I visit. Alan was great to work with and made the process very easy.

Moira and I have enjoyed raising our 3 children in Upstate New York. We have spent many weekends in the Adirondacks at our year-round getaway cabin in Wilmington. We both appreciate the many amenities of the Wilmington/Lake Placid area including hiking, fishing and skiing. It is our pleasure to share our family spot with others who appreciate the Adirondacks and the simple amenities of our home.
