Perfect place to escape to for a few days. The apartment is quite comfortable and very clean. My host, Marc, showed up shortly after I arrived to see that I was settling in ok, and gave me a quick tutorial on the tv setup and the entry lock, for which I was appreciative. And wife Liz had even baked brownies for me! Fantastic! I had occasion to text Marc a couple times before I left - no problems, just for information - and he was very quick to respond. He was a perfect host, friendly and responsive. As for the apartment itself, there's great lighting in all spaces - main room, bath and bedroom - with all new appliances and fixtures. Good water pressure in the bathroom. The a/c units work great. There's a large deck perfect for morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening. It also has a large umbrella-covered picnic table if you want to eat out there with friend or friends. The river is just a short walk down past the main house and there are lawn chairs available if you want to sit out and enjoy the solitude. I was visiting to go to the races at Saratoga, so I didn't spend a lot of time down there but it looked like a nice spot to sit and relax. It's an easy 30-35 minute ride into the track, back thru Greenwich itself, and then thru Schuylerville. And there are more than a few dining choices, if you're not going to be cooking in. Clark's Steakhouse, Amigo's Cantina and Geppetto's - all in Schuylerville - are all good and about 15 minutes away. Greenwich has options, too, and is only 7-8 minutes away, including a McDonalds and Dunkin Donuts, which were the only places I had time or need to try. This is a nice space, in a quiet, secluded location, and, while it was a little farther away from Saratoga Springs than I personally find ideal, I completely enjoyed staying here and getting to know someplace new. I'd definitely stay here again.
