Situé dans le pittoresque hameau de Union Pier, nous vous souhaitons la bienvenue à Made In The Shade! Cette maison de trois chambres, deux salles de bain complètes est proche de tout dans Harbour Country et le lac Michigan. Profitez du soleil et de vos soucis dans votre piscine privée chauffée. Appréciez vos repas ou cette tasse de café du matin tout en écoutant les sons de la nature dans votre véranda. L'étage principal comprend deux chambres à coucher avec lits queen. Le maître a aussi une salle de bain complète. Pour les locataires hors saison, confortablement près du foyer au bois. La cuisine est entièrement approvisionnée et il y a une salle à manger pour six personnes et quatre autres sur l’îlot de cuisine. Le deuxième étage comprend une chambre avec deux lits doubles.

Loved the pool, it was very clean and a good temperature. The house was clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our weekend in union pier. We will definitely be back!

Great place!

This was perfect for 4 adults and 3 kids. The property was clean and the management group was super responsive when we struggled with some small things. The pool was so nice, and the proximity to great food, shopping and beach was exactly what we were looking for!

Great stay in the woods

My friends and I stayed here for a hot weekend. We loved the location, the cleanliness and the pool. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils and serving platters. We emailed about the back screen door losing its screening and they got right back to us and offered to come out and fix it but we told them to do it after we left so I think they are on the maintenance.

Perfect Place for some R&R

Cozy home with a private yard, wonderful heated pool, great screened in porch, with a nice open kitchen, living room and dining area that was great for cooking, eating and sharing time together! The house is just minutes from the beach, and all of what the area has to offer!

Great home

The home was as pictured. The check in process was very easy. Our family enjoyed the pool and peace and quiet of the backyard. The kitchen was perfect for cooking meals for our family. We would stay again if vacationing in the area.

Amazing getaway!

We loved every moment we spent in the house. It is exactly what we needed after no vacations for way too long. The pool was great and we felt like we were in forest away from everyone. Big plus for out daughter was the markets and across the street that had chickens, ducks, and blueberry picking

Wonderful getaway!

We had a lovely stay at this property. The home is very nice and clean- just like in the pictures. It's modern with lots of natural light, open space and comfortable furniture and beds. And the pool was perfect for us and our two small kiddos. Surrounding the pool is a little forest area with huge trees and a ravine, so it's very scenic and private. Check-in was super easy and the hosts very responsive. We had no issues during our stay.

House and Swimming Pool in the Middle of the Wilderness

The house itself overall was good. No frills, the mattresses were just ok, the shower head in the master should be changed so that there will be water pressure. Nowhere in the listing did it say the swimming pool is in the middle of the wilderness and you will ONLY get two hours of sun. If we knew this we would have never stayed at this property. The whole point to our trip was to be in the pool and to tan all day. I brought my elderly mother that went through a ton this year with being hospitalized for over 54 days and wanted her to have something to look forward to. She wouldn't get in because she said there was no sun to keep her warm. Jason was very attentive anytime we had a question and we really appreciate that.

I am sorry they did not enjoy their stay to the fullest. We have not had complaints (until now) about the lack of sun.

Michigan Vacay Get Away

The property was located on a quiet street not far from restaurants, the beach and parks. Across the street we could walk to Goldberry Woods that had a swing/slide playset, chickens and quail; plus pick your own blueberry and raspberry patches. Fun for the whole family. The house has a nice little sunporch which is lovely for coffee or an afternoon nap but some of the screens could use a little patching so birds and bugs don’t come in. We felt that the mattresses and beds needed a bit of updating. Some ant traps were put out upon our arrival but there was an ant problem. We were overly careful in the kitchen area to make sure no food was left out to attract more ants so mostly in the bathrooms we found them and front entry. Before arriving, I called the property manager to ask if there was a high chair for my granddaughter and they said no, that there wasn’t one so we brought our own little portable high chair. When we arrived, there was a high chair so do think the property manager should have known this and the amenities should reflect this. All in all, a very comfortable property and we enjoyed our visit.

Perfect Getaway

Our family of four absolutely enjoyed our stay at this house tucked away in Union Pier. The pictures in the listing are absolutely on point. The main living space is a wide open area that is perfect for hanging out and prepping meals and snacks without feeling detached from the rest of your crew. In addition to the main living space, there are two bedrooms and two bathrooms on the first floor. The third bedroom is located upstairs. All in all, a great layout. The full size washer and dryer is also an added bonus that came in handy for cycling through all the towels we went through between the pool and beach. Off the main living space is a fantastic screened in porch with comfy furniture. It's great for relaxing and enjoying the sounds of nature at all times of the day. But of course, the real crown jewel of this property is the private, heated pool. We spent several hours per day relaxing, swimming, and playing in the pool. It absolutely made our vacation. We'd recommend this property to anyone looking in the New Buffalo / Union Pier area and can't wait to return. It's proximity to everything (beaches, restaurants, wineries / breweries) is hard to beat, yet at the same time it feels incredibly private and removed from big city noise. Truly a gem!

Great location, great pool and perfect size home

We really enjoyed our stay in Union Pier. The house is close enough to walk to a market and bakery, and such a short drive to Warren Dunes State park or New Buffalo. This made it really easy to mix going out and exploring the area with spending afternoons lounging by the pool. The pool heater wasn’t working when we first got to the house, but after we realized this and reached out to the property manager, they responded within minutes and had it working within a few hours. The only reason we gave it a 4 instead of 5 is that the house is surrounded by woods, which meant there were more bugs/ants in the house than we would have liked. Also, the morning we checked in I received an email about the fact that only limited soap/detergent/paper goods would be provided with the house. One of each thing (trash bag, dishwasher pod, 2 rolls of toilet paper) didn’t seem like enough for the fact we would be staying for a whole week, but we had already left our house, which meant we had to buy more when we were there vs. being able to just bring it with us. More than a few hours heads up would have helped. Overall the house was very clean, bedrooms were spacious, the living area and kitchen was the perfect set up for relaxing and enjoying time together.

Nice house with issues

Nice home with wooded lot, screened-in porch and heated pool. Good communication. But house needs window treatments in main room, and better cleaning of spiders. Toilet in MBR was oddly low, bed was very uncomfortable. All fixable issues that would make this a 5-star property

Great House

We had a wonderful time. The house was perfect, the pool was amazing and it was so close to everything while still being out of the way. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.

Ravine Cottage

Furniture in cottage & screened room very dirty. 2 kitchen chairs had to be repaired. Sofas should be replaced. Not enough plates & silverware. Had to run dish washer after every meal. Should have had Kleenex and more soap. Pool very nice and well cared for during our stay. BlueFish a great manager. Exceedingly responsive.
