Cute little cottage surrounded by farmland, donkeys, sheep and Kereru in the trees. Lovely warm log fire and comfortable lounge and bedrooms. Thank you so much!
This is a nice countryside bach with options for those who want to stay in the region. It is not too far from Waipukurai for supplies but nice and quiet. There are sleeping options available which is useful if you have some family coming and going during your stay.. Nice flat outside area for kids to play games. Seems to have everything you need for an extended stay, though we only had 2 nights
This is an ideal retreat for those wanting relaxation away from it all due to it's remote location. Everything we required was provided.
We didn't get to meet the host Jo, although she kept in touch to ensure we were comfortable, especially with the impending storms.
Beatiful place, conveniently isolated, plenty of room for a big family.
Booking coordinations were really smooth although we requested it with very short notice (thank you Jo!). Having 4 children of a wide range of ages we can say the cottage is very well sorted and all info and tips provided by Jo were very useful. The cottage is beautiful and very warm/cosy. The area (and views) is wonderful. Kids enjoyed it very much. You get both a nice, isolated retreat and at the same time a place from where you can drive to different areas in Hawkes Bay if you feel like it.
Arrived to the fire warming this sweet little cottage - such a warm welcome! Children LOVED seeing the donkeys and a bunny outside their bedroom window and the hosts very kindly let the children help give the animals their breakfast. We loved our stay and hope to visit again. Thank you!
Very much enjoyed a relaxing few days in the scenic hill country just outside of Waipukurau, with good access to river trails and tracks in the Ruahines. Very cosy space, with a fireplace and comfortable beds and furnishings. The hosts provided everything we needed, even warming the place for our arrival. An awesome stay.
Jo was very accommodating. the spot was beautiful in a characterful house, and if you are privileged enough to be there on a clear, crisp evening, don't forget to take in the night sky, it is absolutely stunning.
This place reminds me of my upbringing as it is in the hills surrounded by rolling farmland. The kids loved the farm animals, my son is now keen to get his own donkey.
The fire place and great setup of the kitchen and bathroom was really nice as they are well appointed.
Great amenities and very clean. It was nice to have a few drinks provided for a welcome! The bed was really comfortable, the shower was great, and it was a very quiet peaceful spot. It was a bit cold at night (even in summer), but lighting the fire would probably help with that. Also, be aware that the last four kilometres is a rough unsealed road, which might not suit all vehicles? Overall, though, a great place to stay!
Lovely stay in this beautiful cottage! Waipuk is nice and close for everything you need otherwise itâs lovely tucked away on the farm. Well appointed and beautiful fresh eggs as well!!
ParatĆ« is definitely a welcoming, warm and relaxing place to stay with whanau. We throughly enjoyed this serene whare in amongst the country air and also not so far from fine beaches that NgÄti Kahungunu has to offer. NgÄ mihi nui.
