We loved the Log House in Mussourie, especially the view from the living room and the decor was tastefully done. The caretaker was very friendly and we enjoyed her delicious freshly made pahadi parathas for brunch everyday (if you want a taste of local food, you just have to ask and she will get the needed groceries and make it for you happily for some extra cash). The property is conveniently situated on the Mall road, but please note that the Mall road is not accessible to commercial vehicles at certain times (after 4:30pm at the time we visited) except for cycle rickshaws and private vehicles.
The log cabin was as good as we expected it to be. Maybe better.
The furniture was well placed and all amenities were available.
The maid was very amicable.
Some small issues we faced:
1. The bathroom smelled of some leakage. As a result, using it was pretty tough. Should be repaired asap.
2. The TV was there, but it had no channels activated. And since its not a smart Tv, it wasn't really usable.
3. At night the place gets a bit too scary. Even going out on the small path, you feel scared because of the pitch darkness on both sides.
If the owner could put in a small flood light to show the path downhill, that was be great.
The experience was nevertheless memorable. The owner was sweet and available at all times.
We will come back again when possible next :)
Thank you for opening your home to us Parmeet.
