The cabin is truly an amazing place to stay. Beautifully kept (it even has expensive Pella Windows), spotless bedrooms and kitchen. Our host Barbara Pine was incredibly accommodating. It is a high point of our trip.
We loved staying in this updated, spacious log cabin. We just had a quick layover of one night, but it was so comfortable and well equipped. Very relaxing and quiet after a very long day of driving. Highly recommend.
This location was great for the day trips we took each day. We found a great RV park bar our last day that was a lot of fun with the local. We had 2 couples so the 2 bathrooms were great. The lights were a little bright in the livingroom and kitchen but we just didn't turn a lot on. We enjoyed our stay and would return if our travels bring us back to Tok.
She was a fantastic host. Knowing that my family would be arriving late at night she graciously went grocery shopping for us. Pictures were true to the booking and was a beautiful space. We would love to go back in a few months.
We stayed here two different times on an extended trip in Alaska. The house is clean and comfortable. We didnât use the rooms downstairs. The host is responsive and we had everything we needed.
This place was specious, clean an updated nicely. It felt homey and comfortable. Walking distance to foo/shops was nice after the long hours in the car. The children loved having their own space downstairs, but close enough where they didnât get scared. Biggest complaint was squeaky doors, but we loved it.
My husband and I decided that this cabin would actually be a cabin you could take up permanent residency in. The rooms are large and comfortable. The kitchen has great floor plans, new appliances, a large dining table and organization. There was no disappointment with the bathroom. It was spacious as well. I was confident that the bed was sanitary as every part of this house. It was just the resting point we needed.
I have lived in Alaska for 25+ years. I love the outdoors. I am a pilot, a Young Life leader, a member of the Civil Air Patrol, a mom to my own and many others, I have chickens and a garden, and an outdoor enthusiast.
It's close to the center of Tok and therefore close to the grocery store, restaurants, tourist shops, vehicle repair places, the post office, the health clinic, coffee shops and bars, a park, many churches, and the visitor information center.
The home is close to the center of town. It is very comfortable and spacious. It was originally built in the 1960's and so it has a unique rustic charm but has been completely renovated with today's appliances and comfort. My husband and I have spent a year renovating this home. Each tile and board were laid down with pride. It's roomy and yet cozy. I'm sure you will find it comfortable.
