First off the view from this suite is amazing. View of the narrow into the busy harbour. A cruise ship had sailed in which was a nice treat to see. Location was a 10 min walk to George street. Walk was typically on an incline so it can be a chalky. Parking was adjacent to the property. Beds were comfortable with lots of pillows. Adequately stocked with basics. Location was secure with 3 doors that required access code to unlock to enter the suit. We didnât use the hot tub as we were touring the area most of the time. Suit is showing signs of age. Communication with the owner was quick and accurate. Thanks for the stay
What we didnât expect was the refrigerator/ freezer not working (we had several items spoil in the refrigerator which had to be thrown out) and the dishwasher not working at all. The Internet was also very slow according to todays standards.
The main window was wet and foggy difficult to see out of it
Power had gone out for a long time and it got very uncomfortablly warm.
The sauna does not turn off the area of suite was hot.
The ice in fridge did not work.
The hot tub was not hot enough and it is very difficult to open.
I would not recommend nor stay that again.
We loved staying here, the location was very convenient, walking distance of The Rooms, and downtown shopping and eateries (as long as you can walk the fairly steep hills). The Penthouse has a view to die for, and the huge windows accentuate this view. It is well furnished and decorated, but there were a few off-putting notes such as no way to control the temperature (wall thermostats did not function), no cold water out of the kitchen tap, and some switch plate covers missing. But these were minor inconveniences which were overshadowed by, let me say it again, a fabulous viiew!
