Driveway was okay except for big dips that need repaired, my car was struggling with that part. Kitchen sink has very low water pressure so washing dishes was a pain. It was a little disappointing that the view was obscured by sheet metal, but we understand this was probably done by the property owner. Overall we had a good experience and would stay again.
This cabin was nice enough for our long weekend in the Red River Gorge area for my husband and me. The drive up to the property is very steep which is understandable, but there are extremely deep ruts and mounds on the road up the steep hill that would make it difficult for a low-profile car to arrive without damage. We had trouble entering the cabin as the key pad did not work. Luckily we were able to reach the management company who were able to help. The hot tub was cold when we arrived and the control pad was worn and hard to adjust. The maintenance person who arrived to help us enter the cabin was able to get the hot tub heater to work. The kitchen faucet was loose and provided just a trickle of water which made it difficult to wash dishes (a requirement for check-out). There was a table on the deck where we ate our dinners, but inside there isn't much space for meals. The top of the ottoman in the living room was collapsed, so there was no where to rest your feet while sitting on the couch. Lastly, there is a rudimentary wall that we think the neighbors installed that blocks what would be a gorgeous view. On the upside, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was large and the shower was nice. The setting is beautifully wooded and very quiet. We were able to get to all the trails and attractions we wanted to visit within 20-25 minutes. Highly recommend the Gorge Underground kayak trip and the sky lift to Natural Bridge.
We had the best stay as we always do this is our 6th time renting a cabin from y'all and we was not disappointed my husband celebrated his 66th birthday here as he has celebrated 6 of them so far we are hoping to do it again next year. The best part was finding we was going to be grandparents again. And going on the skylift and getting completely soaked because it rained this is one vacation we will never forget
Quiet place and cute. Beds could have been more comfortable and there were no sheets for pull out bed or pillows really. Spacious enough and enjoyed the hot tub.
First the Pros:- The check in process was super easy. - The cabin is relatively private and in great shape. - The hot tub is a super nice amenity. Now the Cons:- If you don't own a raised SUV or trick, the drive up may damage your car. There were deveral spots on the drive up where it was impossible to avoid scraping my car along the deep bumps and divots in the drive. We own a small, low sedan, so a heads up on this might have been nice. - Communication was spotty. I requested an adjustment to check in time several times and never got a timely or definitive answer from management. - The amenities are not entirely accurate. The oven in the unit does not work - which was a big deal since we bought groceries under the premise of a working kitchen. There was a grill in our unit, but it was dangerously rusted through with holes underneath. Not ideal for putting hot coals in. - Our unit was the Sunrise unit at the top of the hill. There was a giant wall built by the neighbors in front of the porch essentially blocking the view out from the porch. While I understand this was the neighbors decision - it's really not mentioned anywhere in the description of the property and that's a pretty lousy thing to find out when you arrive.
The cabin itself is beautiful, but the listing is completely misleading. It was advertised as having a sunrise view â the main reason I booked this property for our honeymoon â but there is no view whatsoever. A massive barrier has been installed on the neighboring property that blocks the entire view. This wasnât disclosed before our stay. When I raised the issue, the property manager claimed they didnât know, which is hard to believe since itâs clear this barrier has been there for weeks. Whatâs worse, there was no offer of compensation nor an option to move to a different cabin. This is unacceptable and feels incredibly dishonest. Renters deserve transparency â not surprises like this.
The cabin and hot tub were very clean. Communication with the property manager was excellent. The driveway is a bit of a challenge but manageable with our all-wheel drive vehicle.
This was a lovely property!! Would definitely recommend staying here for a romantic getaway or just much need break!! Had everything we needed to cook and make lasting memories.
Everything about the house was great. But getting there was next to impossible. The hill going up to 119 hot potholes that i can easily bob and weave but then there is this filled in pothole that had poorly laid out blacktop/gravel that if you dont have a 4 wheel drive vehicle your basically gonna torture your under carriage and transmission. Thank god maintenence came in and helped push my car up or my day would have been ruined.
Very nice cabin, very clean inside. location was fairly easy to find. Hot tub was dirty with a foul smell, so my wife and I did not even attempt to enter it. The only other issue was that of a huge wall built literally in front of the porch. It resembled a border wall of something you might see in Mexico. Otherwise would I stay here again? Yes. But in a different cabin along the road.
Over all our stay was nice. There were a few things that wasnt the best like only part of the jets worked in the hot tub the oven didn't work at all and the toilet ran the entire time we were there. We stayed fri through monday. It was a quiet stay except the 12pm gun shots a few nights but still a good stay
Communication was great. The cabin is a bit of a drive on back roads but if you're looking for a peaceful weekend, this is the place for you. Furniture needs update as some was broken, rusted and just old and uncomfortable. Oven did not work during our stay. Ended up leaving a day early. Cabin is beautiful. Overall not a bad experience.
