Cottage Criterion - 1 rue Bagot

Construit en 1856, le chalet est situé en haut de la colline sur la rue Bagot, derrière l'ancien hôtel Criterion.
Le chalet des colons pittoresque a été magnifiquement restauré et agrandi et est maintenant un logement de location de vacances fabuleux.
Situé à proximité exceptionnelle de la plage de la ville de Robes, des boutiques spécialisées, des galeries d'art, des restaurants, des hôtels et à seulement quelques pas du parcours de golf.
Le Cottage Criterion offre une atmosphère merveilleuse avec l'intégration de l'ancien et du nouveau. Le salon confortable et plein de caractère s'ouvre sur une cour pavée avec barbecue.
Les autres caractéristiques comprennent 2 chambres avec 1 lit queen et 2 lits simples, une cuisine entièrement équipée et un aperçu de la baie de Guichen.
Hébergement idéal pour les couples ou les petits groupes familiaux.

Incredible Holiday

We could swim, wander down the street and see all that Robe has to offer. Our dog also had access to the courtyard. The sparkling weather was beautiful. Already trying to rebook!

Great location. Close to Main Street walk to everything close at hand. House is very hot could do with a couple of shade sails in little court yard which we used , or a split system. A well equipped kitchen , overall a pleasant place to stay.

Sofas and beds are comfortable and it was such a relief to know we had electric blankets should we need them. The Mediterranean-style living area is light-filled and adorned with tasteful original artworks (a real bonus!). Together they set the scene for a real holiday. Location is brilliant with shops, beachfront and cafés an easy walk away. Love it!

Reviewer Comments: A quaint little cottage close ta all amenities and a stroll away from the beach and other sites.Adequate space for our needs and great to have our 2 dogs stay with us inside.Patio could have been maintained and bbq unusable.Cleaners need to check all cupboards as there was mouldy food left in one.Main bedroom mattress /bed needs replacing.Overall an enjoyable stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Charming cottage in the best location in Robe. We have been visiting this cottage since the 1980’s and love it here. The changes we noticed this year.. the beds are no longer made on arrival and only the exact number of sheets of sheets are left out. I would prefer that the beds were made up. Also, we were only left one roll of toilet paper and no rubbish bags for the bins. The last time I stayed here the owner was self managing and we always felt like we were staying in a home away from home, so I wonder if these changes are by the real estate agent. The guest book has been removed and the folder with the history of the property is gone. In the downstairs bedroom we found lolly wrappers and dust. Think they need to upgrade the cleaner. Gas bbq bottle was not full so we chose not to replace it at our own expense and did not want to carry such a huge bottle.This is a boutique property and it would be good if these little touches were fixed. So many instructions on the fridge, but no mention of the water bottle in the kitchen, which can be refilled from the rainwater tank in Cornerstone Cottage (same owners).Delightful cottage but not reaching its full potential in my opinion.

Great location

Property was in a great location. Bed was comfortable. Be aware that main bedroom is up a steep stairwell (with narrow treads) and bathroom is downstairs. Property was clean but requires some extra attention to shower screen and Items in the Kitchen (we had to wash crockery before using). Unfortunately there was also a mouse problem (which they were dealing with) so we did have a smell throughout our stay. (just opened doors and windows when home)

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our 6th summer holiday staying in Criterion Cottage! It is unique with the main bedroom upstairs & another downstairs. The bathroom is perfect, washing machine close by, a very functional kitchen, dining area plus two living areas. An open fire is a great winter attraction & in the small courtyard there’s a Weber barbecue for self catering. We love the history, the comfortable accommodation & location to the Main Street, the front beach & marina. The cottage was very clean & nicely presented with great Art work everywhere. Sheets & towels are provided & for a small fee the beds can be made up for you.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at Criterion Cottage for 4 nights. Upon arrival, we contacted the property management to come and conduct a more thorough clean of the bedrooms as they were unsuitable to stay in (built up dust alongside/under beds, cobwebs in opening windows and doors, dusty bedframes/lamps/surfaces). Someone came very swiftly and spent some time rectifying the main issues, however it was still a dirty house that needs a much more thorough clean. The cleaner even mentioned that she had done what she could in the time she had, but hadn't managed to get everything. I don't think we would stay here again, despite it being a very cute and character filled apartment. A very deep clean is overdue and would have made the experience much more enjoyable.

Quaint cottage

Overall I enjoyed my stay but was slightly disappointed. The cottage was relatively clean but small things need to also be concentrated on. The BBQ had not been cleaned , therefore no BBQing for us. Oven tray, pot and pans needed a scrub before I could use them. Dusty fan in upstairs bedroom, not been cleaned for a while.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I wasn't going to write a review for this property because I didn't really want to alert people to how good it is. However I will; Criterion cottage is perfectly located just back from the charming Main Street of Robe and within walking distance of everything. This property is a great combination of old and new, chic and functional. Also you can bring your dog! usually dog friendly properties are not so nice (although I would say that children probably do more damage and should have a surcharge). We will be coming back to this great little spot.
