Dear Margaret Jane, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you experienced during your stay. Guest comfort is very important to us, and we regret any frustration these matters may have caused. On the morning of February 5th, we were informed that the living room air conditioner was not working. That same afternoon, Priya, our Prestige associate, visited the property with Moises, our AC technician, to diagnose the issue. After servicing the unit and resetting the breaker, the air conditioner was functioning properly. Moises also explained at that time that the breaker had tripped because the circuit was overloaded, which can occur when multiple appliances draw power from the same circuit simultaneously. This is a safety mechanism designed to protect the electrical system. Priya further explained to the gentleman in your party that if the issue occurred again, you could check whether the breaker had tripped and switch it back on, and to contact her immediately if the breaker problem persisted. We did not receive any further reports regarding the AC or the breaker tripping, and since your stay, other guests have not experienced any similar issues. Regarding the shower head, it was replaced the following day, as a new unit needed to be purchased. The previous shower head was missing a rubber gasket, which caused water to leak from the connection point. Upon inspection by our maintenance team, it was determined that it would not have detached on its own unless it had been unscrewed. Our maintenance associate also inspected the ice maker and confirmed that it was operating at a normal production rate. While it may not produce ice as quickly as desired, it was functioning properly. For added convenience, we provided ice trays as well. With respect to the lighting, the unit is equipped with lights in all mentioned areas, and all were working properly during inspection. However, we understand that light bulbs can burn out unexpectedly, and any burned-out bulbs were replaced promptly. We did not receive any requests for additional lighting during your stay. Concerning the water, during the multiple visits made to the property, we confirmed that there was running water throughout the home, although we did observe that the water pressure upstairs was lower. Please note that the water supply on the island is handled by a utility company that sources and distributes water to all properties. If water pressure is reduced or temporarily interrupted, this is outside of our control and not something we are able to directly resolve. However, whenever we are informed of an issue, we always investigate to ensure there is no internal plumbing concern within the property. When you mentioned that the shower was draining slowly, a plumbing company was sent on the morning of February 9th to clean the pipes. You also reported seeing a centipede. Due to the natural surroundings of the property, it is not uncommon to occasionally encounter unwanted creatures. However, the home receives regular pest control service, and treatment had been conducted shortly before your stay. Garbage collection is handled by a third-party company that services the property once per week on a scheduled day. The pickup schedule is determined by the collection company and unfortunately cannot be adjusted upon request. Lastly, the concerns regarding the sliding doors, grill, and cooktop were not brought to our attention during your stay. We have since inspected these items and confirmed that they are functioning properly. Please also note that we conduct thorough inspections before and after each guest checks in and checks out. During these inspections, our team walks through the entire property to ensure that everything is working as it should. While we make every effort to identify and address potential issues in advance, unforeseen problems can occur at any time. When issues are reported, we always do our best to resolve them as quickly as possible. If specialized service is required, we promptly schedule a qualified outsourced company to attend to the matter at the earliest available time.
