Perfect for families

Great apartment, great view, across street from beach and everything nearby. It was awesome that the manager met me at the reception desk and helped me with my bags. Plenty of hot water, 3 televisions and great wifi. Pool is awesome for kids.

The host and his mother were very responsive and kind. The property is a beachfront apartment on the seventh floor with a great view. The property is older and well maintained. The pool is fabulous. The people at the restaurant are nice. I didn’t enjoy the prepared food that I got there. The beer and snacks were fine.I didn’t know much about Playa Boca grande when I booked this property. It turns out that the neighborhood is fine, but to my sensibilities it was too high energy. There’s nothing wrong with it. It was just a question of my preferences.There’s a hotel around the corner that has a terrific restaurant. The hotel is Capilla Del Mar. The food is amazing and the staff is excellent.There is a shopping wall that is within walking distance that has a nice wide variety of stores, some with pretty reasonable prices.There is currently some construction going on on a jetty which is close to the property. It doesn’t block access to the beach. You still just need to cross the street. It’s a little bit unsightly and It’s an active construction site which generates noise. You are in Playa Boca grande, so expect some noise anyway. I’m talking noise like music blasting out of cars, people in the street, lively noise basically.The photos are accurate. Take a close look and you will have a good feel for what the apartment is like. The apartment has a washer, but for some reason the dryer was not made available to me. That ended up not mattering.

It was a deceiving apartment due to major issues that should be disclosed ahead of time. The apartment itself needs to be clean properly between guests it wasn’t really well cleaned. A lot of renovations needs to be done, it is normal to run down faster when short term rentals and by the sea but now it is more then overdue. Being not well cleaned also doesn’t help. Every accessory in this apartment is super basic and cheap (knives that doesn’t cut, you want to clean after yourself and even the product are barely doing the job.)Now the worse of all was the infestation of cockroaches… they are well aware of the problem and they are mentioning they are fumigating every month. I am doubting the effectiveness of the fumigation. Once i notice the problem on the first night i then went more in detail in the comments because i was surprised of the rating and that problem was also in September. Thankfully you have a beautiful view on the sea and on the city. Just keep in mind the bare minimum is provided.

We gave them the first night for free and then moved them to a different unit on the next day and they did not take the apartment.

Great Location for Beach

The pictures are pretty accurate. The staff was very helpful and friendly especially with the language barrier. We did have an issue with our toilet but it was taken care of by maintenance. If you plan to go to the beach it's in a great location right across the street. It's a few blocks away from the mall and there are plenty of resturants around. The only issue I had with my stay was the guest issue and like another guest pointed out the way the limit worked was explained incorrectly. I had this issue on my last night and I wasn't even offered the option to pay for my guest to come in.

Great view of water

Overall stay was great. Nice place with a awesome balcony facing the beach. The place is across the street from the beach. It also has a nice pool. There's a washer dryer in the apartment. 2 bedrooms with 2 big beds and a bathroom with shower in each one. The only prob is that there's 6 max in the apartment for total time of trip. I was told that once u bring a guest, they register for the night, then when they check out, it starts over the 6 allowed. But that's not the case. We checked in the apartment 2 of us. So once we brought over 4 friends. We weren't allowed any more guests to stay over. I was charged for the 7th guest i tried to bring over.

Well, the apartment was nice at first look! Here are the problems I saw. The kitchen needs to be updated, the dryer didn't work and was very old, the washer did a poor job of washing clothes. I was there for 9 days! But here is 2 of the biggest problems I had with stay at this apartment! When you turn off the lights at night and turn them on to go to the bathroom or kitchen. ROACHES! And I seen an exterminator in the building. But I guess the host felt like he didn't want to pay for one. The other thing was big as well. The host didn't communicate with me that the building was going to have a routine electric maintenance shut down for 2 day, between 9am-4pm. That was a big surprise to me! I have to figure out how to kill time for one day, the other day I prepare for! Last, WIFI was fine when it was working, but I expected some interruption with Colombia WIFI, so I always bring my mobile hotspot with me. But I must say, I didn't get to many interruption with the WIFI at all! So, if your going to choice this apartment. Ask the host about these vital things first. I hope this help and good luck!

We are very sorry about the inconvenience during those two days of electricity maintenance it happens once a year by the way in the Palmetto building, I did let Mr. Purcell know about the electricity being back at 1pm instead of 4pm the first day and on the second day it came back at 3pm. And know about the issue with bugs this is related to the building or nearby apartments that did not properly did fumigation we got a newer fumigation certification and after Mr Purcell left we fumigated the apartment again. We will be asking any further clients if they have any issues.

Great spot

The property was great. The pool was great and the beach was across the street. Apartment was very spacious, air conditioning in each area, good location, checkin was easy.There were some things listed in amenities but not in apartment-toaster, hair dryer. I messaged about hair dryer and someone came with it a day later. I was really needing it as I had been travelling several days prior. When they dropped off the hair dryer they also showed me how to turn on hot water and where the key to the safe and patio doors were. It would have been helpful to have this information on arrival- I would never have figured out the hot water and ended up showering in cold water the first day and would not have located the keys. Overall the place was great but I think that these issues should have been addressed more promptly- I think it was day 3 when someone showed up with hairdryer, info, etc. Then we had no wifi for the last 2 days. We emailed property owner right away but had no reply until after we left. It was pretty important to have wifi as we were trying to make trip plans still. For future guests I recommend that communication be more prompt.As I said, overall it was really great!

My wife, two young children, and I stayed here recently for a brief one-week vacation. Our communication with the owner was easy and the pictures are true depiction of the what the apartment looks like. Here are what we see as the pros and cons of the apartment: PROS (1) SPECTACULAR view of the ocean. It was literally right across the street, only steps away. (2) The apartment was clean for the most part. (3) It is located in the PERFECT location to walk to restaurants, shops, and stores. (4) The apartment is SUPER secure and safe with 24-hour security. (5) The pool was huge, with a nice waterfall, plenty of places to sit/sunbathe, and the poolside cafe was AWESOME! CONS (nothing major) (1) There were no blankets, but it was so hot we just used the sheet provided. (2) The shower in the second bathroom didn't work. (3) There were only a few towels, but thankfully there was a working washer and dryer. Overall, the apartment was fairly clean, in a super safe building, all of the outlets and appliances worked (no need for a wattage converter/adapter if you're from the US), and the location was in close walking distance to everything we needed. There were 4 of us in the apartment, but it could've easily accommodated more. The apartment is family-friendly. We can't wait to come back again!

PROs: Our stay at the condo was pleasant. It matched the pictures accurately, and I'd rate its cleanliness as A-. Vrbo/Expedia provided the owner's Whatsapp phone number so I could write her a day before. The owner personally greeted us upon arrival and gave us a tour; she was very friendly. The condo's location is on the 7th floor, right in front of the beach, is fantastic, with restaurants and shops within walking distance. Two grocery stores are just six blocks away. We enjoyed some cozy nights in, cooking our own meals in the small kitchen, although a few extra kitchen accessories would have been helpful. CONs: Our September 2023 vacation was somewhat affected as the beaches in front of our building, stretching up north, were undergoing major construction and were closed. We had to walk one block south to access open beaches without construction. I only mention this because my mother has body problems and the reason I booked this condo was because it’s situated in front of beaches. While the entire condo complex was clean and secure, I have reservations about staying there again due to specific reasons. The building's strict policies regarding gym usage seemed unnecessary. I was also disappointed that a friend staying at a different location was denied access to the swimming pool. Additionally, the pool's 8pm closure time was inconvenient, considering that the government closes all beaches at 7pm.

Un séjour mitigé dans ce condo. Dans les points forts: 1) la sécurité est présente avec des gardiens à l'entrée en tout temps 2) la vue face à l'océan est superbe avec un grand balcon 3) la literie était propres et confortable. 4) Bien qu'elle ne parle pas anglais, Mariela est gentille et nous répond rapidement. Points faibles 1)l'appartement est vieillot et a besoin de rénovation, notamment les salles de bains, la cuisine et salle de lessive: c'était passable. Les meubles auraient aussi besoin d'être changés, ils sont tous bon marché. 2) la propreté générale est passable - les commutateurs de lumières la table de cuisine et le plancher était malpropres 3) il y a un bar devant l'immeuble qui est ouvert jour et nuit. Impossible de dormir les vendredis samedis- la musique et les cris des clients perdurent jusqu'à 5-6h du matin. Le jour, il y a aussi des travaux de construction sur la plage en face. 4) la piscine est bien mais là aussi, d'importants travaux qui causent bruits et poussière, mais j'y allais le soir quand les ouvriers quittaient. Elle est toutefois bien située, grande et propre mais a été monopolisé par un groupe de 20 personnes qui hurlait pendant tout un soir jusqu'à la fermeture. 5) Aucun savon à lessive dans l'appartement et aucun rouleau de papier de toilette supplémentaire (2 seulement, j'ai dû en demander). Bref, j'ai aimé mon séjour malgré tout mais j'ai dû mal à comprendre la note de 9,6 qui apparaissait, c'est plutôt un 7 sur 10.
