Very nice cabin. Well equipped for cooking and dining in. Easy driving access to West Jefferson, grocery, golf course, and the river but secluded from traffic. Clean upon arrival, easy wi-fi access and strong signal.
This a beautiful property. Secluded and quiet but close enough to town to visit shops, get groceries, go to restaurants daily. The downtown area of West Jefferson is fun, beautiful, and friendly. Highly recommend this property. We visited with our 3 adult children and had plenty of room to spread out and relax. Would definitely visit again!
Our family had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home. The property was impeccably clean and well-maintained, both inside and out. It offered plenty of space, stunning mountain views, and our dogs absolutely loved the yard. The location was perfectâconvenient to both West Jefferson and Boone. We couldnât have asked for a better place to stay!
All I can say is wow, this is one of the best places we stayed at using VRBO. Communication from the owner was incredible and the cabin had everything we could possibly need. Our kids are older now, but it was great to see how the property was stocked with all kinds of accommodations from high chairs to toys for very young kids. Our dog loved the wraparound porch and just did laps around it constantly
My family of 4 thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owner was super helpful and kind and the home was comfortable and exactly as described. We hope to visit again very soon!
This was a great place to stay! There were 8 of us and we were very comfortable. There is even a Christmas tree farm out the window that was snow dusted and beautiful. We plan to go back and would highly recommend it.
I canât say enough good things about our stay here. The cabin is in a great location to downtown West Jefferson (and even closer to the winery). The kitchen is fully stocked for cooking. Itâs very kid and pet friendly and everything was very clean. We would absolutely stay here again.
A wonderful mountain getaway, perfect for relaxing and escaping the southern heat. It had everything we needed for an enjoyable long weekend. We'll definitely book again!
My wife and I enjoyed a 2 night celebration of our anniversary at this house. Our stay exceeded our expectations. The house was in an excellent location, well equipment, and clean. The surrounding area has a lot of fun activities.
We loved our stay at this cabin. Clean and cozy just like home away from home. We hope to return soon. The host was excellent also. I am a first time VRBO user and certainly plan on using VRBO next time as well.
Great location! Close to town with other fun nearby locations to visit. - The town is nice and feels like Mayberry. - There are nice state parks that run along the river all the way to the Virginia border with hikes to the nearby mountains and rivers which my kids (8 and 12) loved doing. - The river also has public access pretty close to town which was clearly a local watering hole which I preferred to an ocean beach. My kids wanted to go to river multiple times on the trip. The house itself is nice and feels homey. The veranda going around the house was a huge hit with the family and I loved that the weather was in the 70âs at the cabin vs the 90âs at home in Cary. The place is clean though it could use a little TLC. We had a Chrysler Pacifica which is really low to the ground which would ground out if we didnât take the roads at a good speed but I suspect a car with normal suspension should be fine. The driveway going to the house was a bit steep which may be a concern during the winter. We cook a lot when doing vacation homes. The kitchen is fully equipped but like most vacation properties, you will likely want to bring your own knives and favorite spices etc if you plan to eat at home a lot. We did donate a second nice-sized cutting board to the property - your welcomed! These though are all minor points compared to how nice and relaxing the place is.Great trip! My kids are already campaigning to go back again next year. Big thumbs up!
My wife and I live I the Chapel Hill/Durham area with our three young children. We both grew up visiting the NC Mountains for vacations and fell in love with idea of having a place of our own! The West Jefferson area provides rest and relaxation along with many places to visit. The quaint downtown offers all you could imagine in a small town; including a cheese factory. The Boone/Blowing Rock area is just a short 30 minute drive. Our family enjoys visits to Mast General Store, mining for gems, picnicking on the Parkway and tubing the New River. The river also provides kayaking, fishing and rafting.
