Hayden Cottage was everything we had hoped for (and more) for our weekend getaway. The place was adorable and had all the comforts of home. I absolutely loved sitting on the screened in front porch at night listening to the rain. The location was perfect, and if it had been a little cooler we could have walked to the beach, the park, & the bookstore!
I really enjoyed this place and will certainly stay there again. Well stocked kitchen if you want to cook and the front porch is amazing in the afternoon and evening.
We were in town for our daughterâs horse show competition and spent most of our time at the horse show, but when we were at this lovely house, we did not want to leave! The front porch is so comfortable and pretty and gets wonderful breeze off of the gulf. Its location is amazing, close to the beach and many restaurants. We canât wait to return!
Property is in a great location. Quiet neighborhood that is close to the beach and restaurants and shopping near by. We were in town for a baseball tournament and host was very accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.
This was one of the nicest and most comfortable places we have stayed. It had everything we needed and was super easy to check in and check out. Location was perfect. We will definitely be back!!!
We stayed at Hayden Cottage while visiting family near Pass Christian and this place was great! The owner was very friendly and communicated with us prior to our arrival, and the house itself was very comfortable and clean. This house is also close to downtown Pass Christian, which has the most amazing coffee shop. I would highly recommend a stay at this property!
We enjoyed our stay here very much, had everything we needed and more! Very comfortable for the 5 of us and our 3 dogs, and Wendy was very communicative any time we needed her. Quiet and safe neighborhood, highly recommend!
This was our 3rd or 4th time staying here! We love it so much! The house is so beachy! (: decor is beautiful, well stocked with everything you would need and more! Host is very accommodating and a joy to deal with! We will be back!
We loved our stay in Pass Christian. The property was clean, check in was easy, and Wendy communicated great with us throughout our stay. It was a perfect location for getting to the beach and seeing all the Mississippi gulf had to offer. My kids loved their bedrooms and we spent many mornings and evenings on the screened in porch.
This property exceeded all of our expectations. It was spacious, clean, only 1 block from the beach, and exceptionally well appointed. The owner was very easy to communicate with. Will definitely seek to rebook this property for family gatherings in the future.
Everything was just as listed in the description. Very well furnished and stocked with everything you would need for a stay at the beach. The neighborhood was quaint and friendly.
This cottage is in a great neighborhood with friendly neighbors, a short walk to the park, beach and great restaurants.
The house was clean, comfortable and we loved sitting on the front porch doing art work with the grandkids and just hanging out.
Wendy is a wonderful host.
Super cute and clean place that is kid and dog friendly. Short walk or drive to the beach. The kids loved riding the bikes around the neighborhood and we all enjoyed the screened in porch. Wendy was very fast to respond to any questions we had. Highly recommended.
The location on second street was great for our visit to the Pass. On line description of the property was accurate. Wendy was excellent to work with. The property is very functional and relatively small. The front porch is an outstanding feature. Very comfortable furniture and dining table with good air flow with ceiling fans. Although we did not go to the beach due to the weather, having beach chairs was a very nice addition. Will stay again next time we visit the gulf coast.
Hayden Cottage is comfortable and unpretentious, yet exceedingly well appointed. Linens--kitchen, bed and bath--are generous in quantity and of high quality. The kitchen is well-supplied. This old Pass Christian home has been remodeled completely and thoughtfully, and you'd swear it is bigger on the inside than on the outside. Having lived on 2nd St. mere doors away from Hayden Cottage, I can attest this little gem is the real deal and a perfect location for visiting the area.
Everything you could need was supplied. We didn't even have to go to the store for toiletries :)
An updated, bigger tv would've been nice to watch our big game. But I am sure most people don't go to the coast to watch a ballgame. haha
The House was very Welcoming and Relaxing. It felt like Home, it had a nice screened in porch and a fenced in back yard. There were items there In case you forgot something. The King Sized Bed was Extremely Comfortable. The Host was Very Responsive when we had Questions and their Hospitality was so very appreciated. There was so many accommodations from Bicycles to board games even Recipes. Check Out was Super Easy and Minimal Stress. The House sets in a Quiet little area a few blocks from the Sandy Beach. I hope that when we make our way from Texas again that we can stay here. Thank You for Everything!
Hayden Cottage provided my family a place for all of us to gather without the inconvenience of having to pack up each night and morning to head back to or leave from a hotel. We all spent the bulk of the weekend on the beautiful porch enjoying the company and the lovely weather.
The house had been immaculately cleaned for our arrival. Every amenity we needed was provided, and then some. Each member of my extended family who came to visit insisted on a tour and all of them gushed over how nice the home and furnishings are.
We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend and look forward to staying here the next time we're in the Pass.
Forty years ago I drove through the Pass and was smitten by the beauty and charm of the area. Little did I know that I would meet a nice man from Pass Christian following Hurricane Katrina while on a mission trip with my church to help in the recovery and fall in love and have the opportunity to own a home with him here. John Hayden, Jr. grew up in this house that his dad built with his own labor, buying lumber each payday and building a bit during the week after work.. Though we live in Texas, John and I have the privilege of enjoying this house and time with his siblings who live in the Pass and come over as often as we can. We hope you enjoy your time here as much as we do!
