Loved our stay here. The bach has everything that you need and the view is amazing. We were lucky to be there during the full moon so were able to enjoy the stunning sunrises as well as the beautiful reflections of the moon on the water.
Loved our stay at this property. It had everything we needed for our long weekend. Our adult group had enough room with the downstairs room to not be in one another's way. We made the most of the outside deck and amazing view. Would definitely stay here again.
This property was clean, well maintained and warm in winter (especially when the sun had been shining for a day). Beds were comfortable. Access/egress for a mid-sized trailer boat was problematic, but manageable, and the owner alerted us to this before travelling.
The overwhelming features of this property are the amazing views, open skies and the starry nights due to little light pollution. The bach itself was roomy if rather basic and a little tired, nonetheless we had a pleasant stay there.
What a beautiful sea view. Pictures dont show how close to neighbours you are as noise does travel. Would i book again no, not because of the place or the host but because we are a noisey family who like to get together and have fun.
This quintessential NZ bach is situated with the best views and suited our needs perfectly. It was so comfortable, communication with the property owner was superb and I would definitely stay here again. The sunrises are spectacular!
Accomodation is clean with the exception of some crawlers. Toilet flush tank malfunctioning. There was an instruction on how to use it. We got it in the end after multiple tries. No milk in the fridge. In all of the accomodations that we had been, there is always a bottle of milk. I guess itâs an .assumption on my part
The accommodation was very spacious and well equipped, and the ice cream sellers nearby a real bonus! The swimming area down the steps at the end of the garden was wonderful, with many small marine creatures to see and calm water to enjoy. The rooms are basic but comfortable and clean. Shirley was great with communications too. All the family really enjoyed our stay, even the games to play on wet days. Hourhora is a peaceful spot but the local beaches are wonderful and the Four Square and cafe more than met our needs. .
Exactly what we were after, a typical kiwi batch, great location for all types of fishing and just chilling out
,breakfast and dinner on the deck every day at 21 degrees and you do no get tired of that view, the locals are friendly and helpful suggesting hints to do etcâŠwill certainly return in the future
What a perfect spot. Houhora itself is a unique place. Unspoiled, picturesque, friendly place to unwind. The Bach is set back from the main road, so no noise. Amazing view across the harbour. Perfect for older kids to muck about in the water at the end of the garden, or for adults to enjoy the view from the deck. Really enjoyed our stay, thanks.
What a stunning location. 300m away from any part of Pukenui that you would like to go to.
The most amazing view from the lounge or the deck.
Walk down to the bottom of the garden and the stairs will take you to the waterfront. Everything is a bit dated but then again it is a bach, so what do you expect. At least everything works and is in good condition. I couldnt have asked for more.
We were up for a funeral and was so nice to stay in a beautiful spot. With a 12 month old and 6 year old the deck was perfect and with the in-laws the separate areas was good. Amazing stay and shirley was lovely giving me a call before hand and giving us advice. 10/10
Property gets such an amazing view we loved it. Bach is older, however great deck area which is perfect for keeping kids safe. A couple of the beds need replacing but it has everything you need and we had a wonderful time. Two showers make things a lot easier.
