Tellement de choses à faire dans cet endroit et dans cette magnifique maison. Il suffit d'apporter votre valise, votre appétit et votre désir d'avoir du plaisir! Lire un livre, écouter de la musique ou regarder les passants dans la véranda. Deux chambres décorées avec goût et un lit supplémentaire dans la véranda. Salon avec canapé confortable et chaise longue et grande télévision à écran plat. Internet haut débit et le câble. Pont couvert et barbecue à gaz donnent sur grand jardin. Peut même voir un peu du lac de l'arrière-cour. A l'étage est une unité de stockage.

Authentic Florida

Our family of four (two couples) had a lovely stay in Mount Dora. We were looking for the classic American wooden house with a porch and in this house, we found it! It is centrally located and there is a lot to see and do in the immediate area. Actually, you see more alligators here than in the Everglades. The house was well appointed and stocks were adequate. For American standards, it is an old house, so you have to adapt your expectations to that. Mount Dora is ideally located for trips to Orlando, Ocala and the Kennedy Space Center. The hosts were perfect. If only Florida was closer to our home in Holland, we would come more often! Thanks for the hospitality!

Wonderful home close to everything.

We loved our stay at the treehouse. The home was well appointed with everything we needed. The owners added wonderful Christmas decor so we could enjoy the holiday with our children just like we were at home.

Wonderful 1888 Home

We were fortunate to rent this lovely home for a weekend in Mt. Dora. The house was built in 1888 and is today still in its original glory. There are 2 full bedrooms, a game room with a bed, living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom and a very large fenced in yard. The home is equipped with everything you could need. It is also located in a great neighborhood within walking distance to all the downtown shops, restaurants and pier. Mt Dora is a wonderful quaint town where you can relax or keep as busy as you wish. We dined out at a few fantastic restaurants and went into many of the different shops (from antiques, locally made crafts and things to almost anything you can imagine). We also went out on a boat ride, rode Segways (which we said we would never do yet had so much fun), went to a Halloween dog parade and went to an arts & crafts show which had some great musicians playing. You can find so many different fun things to do in Mt. Dora and this is the perfect house to use as your home base. Thank you for letting us enjoy your beautiful home. Cindy & Duane

Where to begin?

Oh my goodness! We spent the weekend at this beautiful old home, and I'm pretty certain we could not have enjoyed ourselves more. It was our first time in Mount Dora, and we loved every minute. The home was cozy, comfortable, and certainly special. We spent more time out and about, but enjoyed the house so much. So close to everything, we had fabulous meals, had our first lobster roll, wonderful breakfast at the loft, and went on the Premiere Boat Tour right around the corner. The tour was a blast. 28.00 a person and definitely worth it. After talking with the town people, we are planning a trip during the holidays, for sure. My fingers are crossed that we will be able to stay in The Treehouse again once we lock down our dates. Thank You so much for sharing your treasured home.

Tremain House

Loved staying here. So comfy and the decor is fun. The sunroom was so cute. We had coffee on the patio each morning and walked to the lighthouse for the sunset each eve. Thank you Lisa and Peter, and daughter, for providing such a wonderful house.

Perfect Cottage in the Perfect Location!

Nice, spacious cottage with 3 bedrooms - it was very comfortable and fit our group of five perfectly. Great location - It is in walking distance to downtown, Lake Dora, and the park where all the festivals are held. We would definitely stay here again!

Very charming and incredibly well-located

My husband and two boys had a lovely 2-night stay here. We could walk everywhere and also enjoyed cooking a meal and dining at home one evening. The beds were comfortable and the place was very clean. We look forward to coming back the next time we visit Mount Dora. Thank you so much!!

Great relaxing place close to town

After researching numerous places to stay in the Mt. Dora area, I'm so glad we stayed here. It was perfect way to kick off our Christmas Holiday. We stayed 5 days and 4 nights and enjoyed all the festivities that the town offered. We only had to walk 2-3 blocks away and we were close to everything. The 1888 house is clean and well decorated. There are nice sitting areas in the back of the house, under the trees. We felt very welcomed as the owners provided us with a couple bottles of water in the frig and a complimentary bottle of wine. Thank you Lisa and Peter for offering such a wonderful place to stay. We will be back again. Marlene & Patrick - Seminole, FL

Great stay!

Cute house & great location. All the shops and restaurants are within a few minutes walking distance. The owners were great too! Even when there was a small issue (which was completely out of their control) they immediately remedied the problem. They even followed up to make sure I was satisfied. Looking forward to staying here again on my next visit to Mount Dora.

Clean, Comfortable & Perfect for us!

The Treehouse was perfect for us! There was plenty of room, it was very clean and had all the basics we needed to be comfortable. The location is terrific and walking distance to the park, lighthouse, dining and more. We will definitely stay here again!

Lovely place to stay in Mount Dora

I would highly recommend renting this beautiful home if you plan to stay in the Mount Dora area. It really felt like my home away from home. It was clean and well supplied with needed kitchen items, and washing/drying capabilities. I had never been to Mount Dora and it was such a nice quiet town with so many shops and restaurants to explore. We walked to the downtown/waterfront area just 1 block away. We enjoyed the 4th of July fireworks and parade! We also went antiquing and found a few really neat local places where we spent a whole day looking around. I travel a lot for work and usually stick to staying in a specific hotel chain to keep my gold/diamond status active, but I fell in love with this option of renting a house. Overall it was a cheaper option for us as we could cook our own food and wash our clothes instead of having to go out to eat for every meal and find a laundromat. And I didn't have pay for 2 rooms for my family - instead this home had enough bedrooms to fit all of us!

Nice weekend at "The Tree House" in Mount Dora

Thank you Lisa and Peter for your help. Very accommodating and helpful with local information. Very nice, clean older home with everything you'd need. Cool little downtown with fantastic restaurants. No need for a car as everything is within walking distance which is great. We'll be visiting again next summer.

Pleasant home only a short walk from quaint downtown Mt. Dora

The home is stocked with all the essentials for your stay. Charmingly decorated made our time inside the home as memorable as our time outside. Great dining nearby (walking distance) as well as plenty of shopping. Plenty of space to accommodate 4 to 6 adults.

Adorable house with a great location

We loved the treehouse. It was so cute and had everything we needed. Lisa and Peter were so helpful and they provided us with a great list of restaurants and places within walking distance. We wound up not using the car at all while we were in Mt Dora as we could walk to everything. During our stay we felt right at home. We're already thinking about our next trip & a repeat stay at the Treehouse. Thank you Lisa and Peter!

A gem!

We had a fabulous stay at The Tree House! It was within a short walking distance to the lake and downtown, which had so many eateries, we had trouble deciding which ones to enjoy during our 4-night stay. The house had plenty of room and all the comforts of home. The backyard was relaxing and a great spot to enjoy a glass of wine. It is about an hour drive to Silver Springs State Park, which was an added bonus to our trip. The owners made sure we were settled and left us water and wine in the fridge. I hope to return again soon!

Second Stay at the Cara Mia Property #433574

We were originally booked for another property (The Tree House #748448) but we were delighted when this house was available for us for the Mount Dora 1/2 Marathon Weekend. The owner moved us over to the Cara Mia. The location is perfect for walking over to the race start & walking back from the race finish. It makes it simple to lead the Grandchildren over to see Mom, Dad & Uncle cross the finish line. The backyard is a real plus with a nice covered deck. We collectively decided we will try to get this house again for next year's 1/2 Marathon. It has become our family tradition.

Great house, great location!

The house was exactly as advertised - full of character and charm. Location couldn't be better for visiting quaint Mt. Dora with a very short walk one way to downtown and the other to Gilbert Park and the marina. Lisa and Peter were great hosts and even left us a bottle of wine in the frig to start our visit off right!

Just perfect...

My mom and I spent a girls getaway here at the Tree House and it was absolutely perfect!! So close to town, cottage has everything you need and the owners are wonderful. We have been to Mount Dora 4 other times and have started at the inn's and a few B&B's... This by far was our favorite place! We loved being able to lounge and relax when we wanted... Cook our wonderful meals together and just enjoy ourselves. The Christmas decorations were perfect and so was the fabulous marina, right out back, that had the most spectacular lights we have ever seen!! So many wonderful memories... We cannot thank you enough. See you again next year!! Thank You, Michelle

Amazing historical house

What a beautifully restored house from the 1800's. It was so classy and location was great. Could see the water from the house and walking distance to everything. Stay should have been longer....so much to see and do. Did the Craig Cat tour..just a short stroll away.

Mount Dora Tree House

Lisa and Peter were very helpful in providing information and recommendations for our stay. The house was very nice, and in a great location to downtown. If you are looking for a vintage home, within walking distance of everything in downtown Mount Dora, this is a great option. The owners were very easy to get a hold of, and responded to any questions or concerns we had. Thank you!

Both nurses, we needed a getaway where we could relax, meet new friends and enjoy nature and the Lakefront. We found all of that in Mt. Dora.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

This house called our name. The vintage charm was exactly what we were looking for. It is what you think of in a home in Mt. Dora. It needed some tender loving care and we gave it that with a lot of hard work but it was worth the effort.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

The location is absolutely amazing. One short block to downtown, yet on a safe, quiet street. Easy stroll to the lake, fishing dock, lighthouse, kids' park and nature path & boardwalk. Pick up some groceries on the way in, park your car and you never have to drive again!
