6 Bedroom, 5 Bathroom Destin Vacation rental! With over 2,800 square feet, This Destin beach house rental has space for the whole family! There is bedding for 20 with so feel free to bring the whole family. Each room has its own mounted TV with DVD player. Enjoy gulf views from your private tower room! The beach is a mere 2 minute walk from your front door with no roads to cross! Tired of the beach? Take a relaxing dip in your very own 8'x17' private swimming pool and hang out around the poolside tiki hut!

The surrounding area has a lot to offer. Within a 5 mile radius you will find roughly 30 restaurants along with the Silver Sands Factory Outlet mall for all your shopping and dining needs!

First Floor: Bonus Den with Patio Access, Kitchen, Dining, King Bedroom with Tub/Shower Combo, Queen Bedroom with Shared Tub/Shower Combo, Bunk Room with Two Twin Bunks, Laundry.

Second Floor: Living Room with Queen Sleeper Sofa and Balcony Access, King Bedroom with Tub/Shower Combo, Queen Bedroom with Tub/Shower Combo, Queen Bedroom with Shared Tub/Shower Combo.

Third Floor: Loft with Full Bed and Queen Sleeper Sofa + Balcony Access.

We had 15 family members stay in the house for a week with No Drama! The house was perfect, location couldn’t have been better, and the pool was amazing. Highly recommend.

Great Week at the Beach with Family!

Top items: very close to the beach (2 min walk to the water) and the private pool. The house location and layout were almost perfect for us. The family loves use of the private pool and the tiki bar. Lots of TVs everywhere. The only thing we would have changed was the amount of seating in the kitchen / dining area. Was tough for our group of 14 to be together for a meal inside. Highly recommend for the location and the overall well oiled process.

Great place!!

Had a great time at the Shell Shack!! There was plenty of room for everyone and loved the little pool/outside area. It was a great location. Easy walk to the beach and close to everything you need. Even walking distance to food and stores. Check in and out was easy and Ocean Reef was easy to access with any concerns. Would definitely use Ocean Reef again.

Super easy walk to the beach!

We enjoyed the short walk to the beach as well as the location in the back part of the property. Great location for small kids who may hop out the door. I was pleased to be off of the main road. The walk took less than 5 minutes one way. We would come here again!

Beautiful and spacious house!

We had an amazing time at the Shell Shack. The house was very clean and had tons of room for all 15 of us. Too bad it wasnt very warm outside but we still enjoyed the beach, which was practically outside our front door (very short walk). We also loved that there were so many shopping opportunities nearby. Our only recommendation would be to add a crockpot, griddle, and some more kitchen towels. We look forward to renting the Shell Shack again in the future!

Convenient and comfortable

Very comfortable and clean stay for 6 adults, 4 teens, 1 child and family dogs. It’s obvious the property gets a lot of traffic, and some minor basic things, like lightbulbs, should be replaced, but the floor plan allowed for everyone to spread out and have privacy when they wanted (including 5 kids involved in online school during the day), and be social when they wanted. Heated pool and tiki bar were great. Construction next door was only a minor distraction- didn’t really affect our stay. Easy walk to beach.

Beach worn

The house is a great size in a great location. The management company was great very responsive to any issues, but the house and pool are very worn and need of updates. The furniture in common areas is dirty. The kitchen appliance s need replaced and the it needs a deep clean. Some light fixtures in bathrooms are rusted. The condition of the house didn’t stop us from enjoying our trip but the house needs lots of work and updates. Also the pool tile needs replaced the batch job looks horrible.

Infested with roaches, very dirty

The first thing I noticed when arriving was how there was trash all over the ground at the end of the driveway around the trash receptacles. The next I noticed was The swimming pool was extremely dirty with cloudy murky water. The front door is filthy, as all the other doors are in the house around the handles. There is dirt caked on them. Then I turned the lights on inside the kitchen/living area and saw multiple roaches. The roaches were on the floor, countertops, inside the coffee pots. The water in the kitchen sink randomly comes on and starts leaking heavily for about 5 seconds. There is no water pressure in the king room bathroom on the main floor. There is dirt all over the wall in the twin bunk room. The bunk beds are so loose and cheaply made that we would only allow 1 child on each bed at a time because we were scared they would break. The pictures online need to be updated to reflect the current status and cleanliness of the property. We will not be staying at an ocean reef property again.

Vacation after COVID

Property is nice and spacious, located steps away from the beach (no complains there) out of 10 stars I give it a 9 just because I believe the pool area needs a little more work/attention and in the kitchen, I believe is missing more cooking ware. Other then that, thank you for having us!
