This was such a great little space in a quiet neighborhood. The owner has done amazing with storage space and there are a ton of little extras all around. It is close to the capitol, downtown, shopping, eating and the freeway. I will definitely look to stay here again in the future.
It was perfect for my needs, the bed was fabulous, it is cute and comfortable and there was even a sweet, well mannered dog on the back patio for loving on! If I get called back to the area I would rebook in a heart beat.
After initial confusion over host's lack of responsiveness to my questions, I found the space easily upon arrival. The location was very well suited to my overnight needs. Light switches were hard to find (never did find the overhead light!). The bathroom could use a small, narrow table for counterspace. But it was cozy and cute and clean, with some very thoughtful amenities.
Located in a quiet, tree-lined neighborhood. Minimal (exclusively online) communication with host who lives next door and respected my privacy. It's the little things: I was greeted by a fresh bouquet of tulips and a decanter of water with drinking glasses. All of the fresh towels and linens and even the shower curtain were white and spotless. The entire place was emaculate.
This was perfect for our stay in Salem. The little extras were a perfect touch. I was able to enjoy my morning coffee on the back porch listening to mother nature sing its song.
Unfortunately I got sick first day of my vacation. It was very cozy with a luxury mattress and bedding and lots of pillows. It made being sick a bit less bothersome. And it was sooo nice to have cold bottles of water when I came in after a long drive! What attracted me to this place was the pictures of the lanai type porch and garden areas. I was sad to be too sick to take a wander and enjoy the back yard. What I could see from the door looked as nice and peaceful as the images, even off season. It's in a busy part of Salem, but you'd never know that as the neighborhood was so quiet. As it's only 10 minutes from my friends' place, I'll probably stay there next time I'm in Salem.A couple of things to nit-pick though: I'm as much of a coffee snob as any Seattlite, but I do like a spot of tea now and then. Also, the bath towels were nice, but they don't work well for us bigger people; maybe get a couple bath sheets as well? But really, it was a nice place to stay, the owner was easy to reach via text, the place was easy to find and get into, and it's in a good location. I kinda hate to give it a good review because I don't want it to get taken and then I can't get in when I want it! ;)
This was easy to find, really quiet and really clean. It was perfect for our short stay. We were surprised by a dog in the backyard. When we stepped out back it barked us back inside.
All was great. It is exactly was it is described as. It is a small place but very well done and well kept. Owners did some nice touches like snacks, little wine bottles, and extras in case you forgot something. Nice neighborhood that was quiet. I would definitely consider renting again when I am next in Salem.
Only odd thing was being required to buy insurance or put down a significant amount deposit. I donât do VRBOs a lot so this may be more frequent than I know but to me it was odd.
This little oasis was a perfect spot to stay while visiting friends and family and old haunts in Salem for a few days. Carly checked with me several times to make sure I had everything I needed. Very comfortable, and the bonus...it was on the same street as the house my husband and I bought in 1969! Still a beautiful neighborhood. I'll be returning for sure.
Nice little space where a garage has been converted into a studio with bathroom. The backyard space is filled with greenery and is a welcome spot to relax.
The owner and her neighbors were pleasant. The room was perfect for the two of us. Bed was comfortable. Water bottles, snacks and wine cocktails were a nice touch. We enjoyed our stay.
I hope this lovely oasis will be available next time I visit Salem because I don't want to stay anywhere else. Carly has thought of every need and amenity. Her sweet dog, Max, even curled up at my feet while I was reading. Need I say more? Because I certainly could go on and on! Thank you for a wonderfully perfect stay!
Carlyâs studio was perfect for my weekend in Salem! Studio is as advertised. Cozy bed and bedding! Although I didnât get out back there is an adorable sitting area. Easy check in and check out. Great communication with Carly! Close to downtown.
Can't say enough about this Marvelous place! It's definitely the Best place we've stayed at, very clean and comfortable. The host Carly really knows how to make you feel welcome and at home. Highly recommend. Thank you Carly! We will be back.
Our visit to Oregon was to visit a couple of garden farms near Salem. This location was perfect for us. It was a cozy place to rest at the end of our day walking the gardens. We enjoyed coffee in the morning on the patio and a glass of wine in the evening,
Carly was awesome. She left a light on for me and helped with the lockbox. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean, bright and cheerful. I loved the private patio. It was so inviting. And the special touches such as water, coffee's, body wash, face pads, flossers etc. were such a unexpected plus. And the street the house is on was so nice a quiet. I am planning to stay there again. This was a very relaxing visit on a short timeline. Thank you Carly. See you again soon.
