Sandra Reviews are always appreciated but I do feel the need to clarify a few things. The aforementioned wall hanging has been there for 8 years without any issues. I am going to assume that your children were playing on the bed and dislodged it and therefore it fell off the wall. It broke an antique milk glass shade on the lamp next to the bedside table . I understand that accidents happen but when they do, guests generally offer an explanation and offer to pay fior any damage!! You did neither. However I’m glad that only my property was damaged and your children are ok!! To be very clear: I would not invite you back based on this and the fact that you checked out an hour and a half late. Plus You were rude to my housekeeper when she arrived and asked if she could start laundry You refused to allow her and when you finally checked out, she found soaking wet towels and rugs that you had put in the shower!!! I guess in retaliation?? As far as personal items, to the best of my knowledge, the only personal items in any area are toiletries I leave in one side of the master bathroom cabinet!?!?! Outdoor torches and candles probably aren’t cleaned between guests as I don’t see the necessity to do that as they are either on an outside screened porch or on the deck I’ve noted your comment about pillows and will follow up and replace if necessary I’ve been in the vacation rental business since 2205. I routinely replace towels linens, pillows etc on a rotational basis-generally every 18 months. Thanks again for your feedback Carole

Hollis Thanks for your review... The rugs are mainly actual orientals so they aren’t brand new!!! And all three bathrooms and kitchen were updated less than 6 years ago when I bought the house and renovated...seating, lighting and bedding furniture bought at same time!! Several other pieces are family antiques. Perhaps your taste is more modern than traditional? Carole

Thanks for your review. Although the downstairs not have central air, it does have ceiling fans and screens on the windows - which at 4000+ feet makes night time sleeping so wonderful if you just open the windows. New gas grill has been added since your stay. Your stay during Hurricane Irma - which also impacted the Highlands area, made for a wet get away so I apologize if the cushions were damp on the screen porch. It was due to the 4 inches plus of rain that we received during Irma....
