Great stay! It was dog friendly as advertised and our dogs loved exploring the backyard. It had everything we needed for our stay and was in a convenient location walking distance from shops, cafes, and restaurants.
The house was exactly as described, and it met my needs very well as a visiting quail hunter. The fully enclosed backyard especially made traveling with dogs a pleasure. The only hiccup was the furnace was not working upon my arrival, but the owners were very responsive. I was provided with space heaters, and after two days the furnace was repaired. The house is also on a small lot, with neighbors in close proximity, and at times the neighborhood was a bit noisy. But it was well worth the tradeoff of being within easy walking distance of everything downtown Patagonia has to offer. It's a very cool little town, surrounded by beautiful public lands, and I hope to back next year.
Check in was simple and easy, and the host quickly added a dog for us. FYI the house is older and dated if that bothers you, totally fine for us though. Our only complaint would be that the beds are not comfortable and we had a tough time sleeping. Other then that it was great.
This property had really good energy! I always worry about renting any property. Yes, I see things. No, but really, my family and I really liked this house. It was so conveniently located to everywhere we wanted to go. Our dogs really liked the spacious back yard. The house was clean, The oven wasn't working, but we weren't going to bake a cake either, (a note was left notifying us about that issue) so that was okay with us. The internet was very spotty, but that just gave us more reason to spend quality time, as a family. It was a very cosy house. Thank you, Kathy for letting us stay here. We look forward to coming back. Hopefully, next year.
On the way to Nogales. Nice clean house with a queen, double and single bed, three bedroom house. Only one bathroom which made it hard for Three girls to get ready for a wedding. Nice area and beautiful back yard completely fenced. Wish we had our dogs with us. Neighbor has barkers next door but they were quiet at 10 pm.
Great property but listing inaccuracies and poor internet
This house was perfect for three of us to enjoy three weeks in the Sky Island area of Southeastern Arizona. The house was clean and felt spacious. The furniture was in excellent condition and the kitchen was equipped for basic cooking. Our dog was very happy with the large fenced yard and we enjoyed the covered patio. The car port was nice because we experienced a couple of nights with frost and woke up one morning to 5 inches of snow (a once in a lifetime event here).
When we arrived we noticed there was no shampoo, or food storage containers and some of the no-stick pans were badly scratched. While this was not a concern for us (because a nice cast iron pan was available) I notified our hostess (Kathy) and she quickly provided replacement pans, food storage containers and shampoo. We really enjoyed our stay at this VRBO and would highly recommend it to others.
We were centrally located between Tuscon, Sierra Vista and Nogales, ideal for day trips to parks and monuments throughout the area. We enjoyed hiking several of the numerous hiking trails in the area and visiting places like the Mt Lemmon, Sagauro National Park, Tombstone, Bisbee, Nogales, Naco, many canyons and several ghost towns. The wildflowers in Picacho Peak State Park were amazing during March. Chiricahua National Monument was awesome and we enjoyed hiking 4.5 miles from the Echo Canyon trailhead to the visitor center. Walking around this small town with itâs many trails was very also convenient and enjoyable, and we frequently were entertained by Javelinas.
But nothing is ever perfect. The VRBO listing stated many items would be available to include shampoo, basic soaps and toilet paper. While the shampoo was not in the house upon arrival a 3 oz bottle was quickly provided (3 oz for 3 people for 3 weeks?). Basic soaps did not include laundry detergent and the shower soap was two tiny bars like those provided in discount motels. Unfortunately my wife had an intestinal bug when we arrived and went through a lot of toilet paper. The quantity provided was limited to 2 rolls per week. Needleess to say we had to buy toilet paper, shampoo, laundry detergent and shower soap.
Furthermore the VRBO listing said a dishwasher, ironing board and DVD player were available but they were not. The icemaker did not work. There were only a few pantry items: mostly seldom used spices like ginger, cloves and bagel everything, about 1/3 cup of rice and the same amount of flour. Ma
We came to Patagonia for a relaxing weekend of birding/hiking/and exploring. This property is very convenient to all the spots we planned to go and is easy walking into town for food/beverages. Plenty of room to stretch out and relax.
Would have been great if not for all the dog hair on the couch, could not sit on couch without getting hair all over our clothes. Ended up just using dinning chairs and a lot of Beneydryl because of allergies to pet hair. Loud neighbors next door. Not many places to eat after 4pm if any. Patagonia lake was nice, town not so much.
We visited during July so it was pretty hot but cooler than Tucson. The house was in a great location, walking distance to town. My dogs thoroughly enjoyed exploring the yard!
Grass was green, nice back porch to hang out during the rain. It rained lightly several afternoons which was welcome. This part of Arizona is so beautiful! The Paton Hummingbird Center and Patagonia-Sonoita Creek Preserve were so restorative and peaceful. We checked out the Hops and Vine winery which is fun. Dinner in Sonora at the Steak Out was amazing!!
Was great little place, comfortable, close to everything in town, and fenced yard for our pup. Was a bit disappointed that the pics showed nice green grass in the backyard but was completely dead/dry. All in all, was a great stay.
Very nice house, big yard, quiet neighborhood. Full kitchen a plus. A sweet place to unwind. And just a few minutes drive from the Paton Center for Hummingbirds, a real treat.
Pleasantly surprised how well supplied the property was. It was very comfortable.
I had a hot water leak in the bathtub that I hope it get fixed soon because it is wasting a lot of water and energy.
I would recommend it and would stay again if in the area.
This was a beautiful property right in the heart of Patagonia. It has everything we needed to make our stay perfect. We will definitely be back. Thank you!
