This place is such a fun experience! The historic home is beautiful and we loved sitting on the front porch swing. The kitchen is well stocked for preparing meals. There is so much space in the rooms (my kids liked trying out all the beds to find the most comfortable one and they liked them all) and it is very well kept by the owner. This place is walking distance to a market if you need groceries. We enjoyed our stay at the Manor!
Beautiful historic home on picturesque Government Street. Close to downtown activities and spacious for larger groups. Great spot for the holidays or special occasions
We had a large party staying in Mobile. This home easily fit our needs, and was close enough to downtown Mobile to take advantage of the great restaurants and local night life!
We had the best time at this house the location is great and very walkable. The house is comfortable and the front porch is so relaxing. Canât wait to stay again!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Location was great for our events and the historical architecture and eclectic decor of the home was an added bonus. We will definitely choose this property again!
My family stayed in this house for a family wedding downtown and it was perfect!! So close to everything and so much room! I would definitely come back again.
We brought our family to celebrate my daughterâs graduation from South, The house was a perfect way to show them what Mobile is all about & we had plenty of room. A recommend!
We rented this for our daughterâs wedding for the bridesmaids. Everything was great and they enjoyed their stay. Host was very communicative and helpful. Definitely recommend!
Beautiful historic home! Mardi Gras Manor was perfect for our stay with our three children, my parents, and my 86 year old grandmother! Very cozy and the beds were very comfortable. Extremely pleased!
We were in Mobile for our son's wedding and had all of our family staying. It is a wonderful historic old home with lots of room and character. Donny is a great host and was so responsive to our questions.
House was clean and well maintained. Donnie was very attentive and very helpful to any requests we had. We would definitely stay there again next time we visit Mobile.
Mardi Gras Manor was the perfect gathering for our family while in Mobile for the christening of our newest granddaughter. The house was comfortable and allowed everyone their own space as well as large gathering spaces to spend time together. Our grown children have requested that we keep this property on our list for revisiting. Perfect for multi-generational gatherings!
Really enjoyed our stay and the house was very nice and unique. We had a small issue with a bad AC unit snd the owner was quick to resolve it. Only suggestions might be more lighting at driveway as we arrived at night and had a hard time seeing and address (we ended up entering from the back) and sinking up online instructions for entry with what the owner sends out close to time. I wasnât looking at our correspondence but the actual info online so there was a few seconds of confusion getting inside, esp. with so many doors to choose from but we made it and all was good! Would definitely recommend. Great location for our needs.
Our large family (9 in total) planned a summer vacation cruise out of Mobile and wanted to stay in the area a few days prior to setting sail. The Washington Square (Mardis Gras) rental greatly exceeded our expectations! The house had plenty of beds for everyone, a big family room for socializing and games, and a nice kitchen for preparing meals.
The location was unbelievable....less than a mile to the port and walking distance to historic downtown. We had great meals/drinks during our stay...the food scene in Mobile is definitely underrated. There is a grocery store and drug store within a block in case you need anything.
The communication with the owner was superb before, during, and after our stay. Instructions on everything related to the house was perfect.
We give this our highest recommendation and encourage anyone with a group looking for a place to stay prior to cruising to give this serious consideration. It beats a hotel by a mile.
Six stars!
Les points faibles : Communication et emplacement
HelloâŠProperty Manager are you there?
We were excited to visit and stay in the property. That excitement slowly vanished, especially when issues with the property began to emerge. First was the refrigerator leaking and water pooled on a subfloor. Reached out to property manager, but never responded. Second was a power outage and when I reached out to the property manager, he never responded. Third was finding an active AC power junction box in standing water on the ground. And after sending the property manager pictures, the Property Manager remained AWOL. Finally, the area is riddled with homeless and the abandoned home and abandoned store near the property provided refuge to the homeless. It is understood that vintage properties requires a lot to keep up but a simple return of communications is expected when paying 2K.
Location to our conference was perfect. Great location, clean, and had a good time staying in a piece of Mobile history. Owner was very helpful and gave us everything we needed for a great stay.
I am a local realtor that has lived in Mobile all my life. I bought this house because I like the Historic district and everything that goes with it. Sit on the porch during Mardi Gras and watch the parade go by at the corner. It is so close to so much I like to do. Restaurants, bars, entertainment districts are just a short walk.
We spend everyday that we are there on the front porch. It has a wonderful swing and plenty of seating under the 100+year old oaks. The Home was built in 1856.
