Complètement rénové de haut en bas avec toute la nouvelle cuisine, les bains et les planchers partout. Aucun détail manqué - nous pensons. 5 chambres (2 Queen au rez-de-chaussée dont 3 complètes au niveau inférieur). Bains sur mesure aux deux étages, le principal ayant une douche cascade. La conception ouverte de la cuisine gastronomique alimente la salle à manger et la tanière. Grand débit pour se divertir et beaucoup de sièges sur l'île et une table surdimensionnée pour que personne ne soit laissé de côté. Juste à côté de la cuisine se trouve une terrasse couverte pour apprécier les bruits du ruisseau dans la cour et la section découverte pour profiter du soleil de la montagne. Détendez-vous et observez la faune tout en sirotant une boisson. Si le froid nocturne se déclenche, utilisez l'un ou les deux poêles à ventre pour réconforter les choses, ou le foyer extérieur. 11 acres est votre terrain de jeu sauvegardant des milliers de terres domaniales pour votre plaisir de randonnée. De l'autre côté de la route se trouve le lac Huggins pour ceux qui souhaitent faire de la randonnée pour la pêche à la truite hors des sentiers battus. Notre maison est centrée entre le touladi géant du réservoir Pepacton et les magnifiques ruisseaux et arcs-en-ciel de la célèbre rivière Beaverkill. Les choix abondent pour le pêcheur. Le grand lecteur circulaire vous permet de rouler jusqu'à la porte d'entrée et offre un parking pour plusieurs voitures. Achetez à l'avance et venez en profiter! What a perfect stay! Natural beauty

We spent a long holiday weekend at this home and loved every moment. The setting is incredible. We saw wildlife, went fishing, cooled off in the creek on property and watched the sunset and grilled evening night on the back porch. Lots of nearby activities but feels really remote in a good way! Truly relaxing. The house is perfectly stocked for anything you would need and the renovated bathrooms and kitchen are really nice touches. Very nice and responsive property manager, and the kindest neighbor who helped us get set up to fish. Would come back for sure.

Solitude and Beauty

Very comfortable country house near premier fishing on Beaverkill and Delaware rivers. Everything as advertised. Next door neighbour very welcoming, allowing me access to his pond. Plus, gave us his venison hot dogs, which we grilled for lunch. What an unexpected treat.

Short stay in paradise

What a wonderful place. Everyone enjoyed their stay, the location is beautiful. Small fishing hole on the property and even the neighbor let the kids fish his pond (great guy). Cant say enough on how much we loved this place even the beds were comfortable. The owners communication was great from check in to check out and made everything easy. Highly recommend. We hope to be back Thanks again for letting us enjoy THIS CASTLE IN THE WOODS.

Perfect house

Property was beautful, Neil, the property manager, was amazing and helpful. Lots of things in the pantry to take from. (and replace of course) Nice hiking trail right up the road. Brewery’s and restaurants nearby… Loved everything about it. Will definitely be staying here again, 5/5 would recommend

Great spot, excellent hosts

Everyone had a wonderful time over the weekend! House and grounds are stunning, location is secluded as advertised while also being within a brief drive to (by my count) four great towns. We spent one day swimming under the Beaverkill covered bridge, and the other hiking around Russell brook falls. Owner and caretaker both extremely responsive and accommodating. Will definitely be back again.

Quiet property with plenty of space.

This house is a great size for a family. The kitchen is perfect and allowed us to make several large meals for our family. We hiked Huggins Lake trail which is just up the road and it was for sure a challenging trail being mainly uphill for 1.5 miles but well worth the view. The house was nice and clean. The beds comfortable and plenty of space to spread out but also hang out together. Close proximity to many DEC fishing access and to the Beaverkill. We hope to be back again!

In the heart of Beaverkill Forest Preserve!

Just a wonderful house on a sprawling 12 acres of lush lawn and trees of many shades ..........just a wonderful location.......everything newly restored in a very functional house.......will go again..............five bedrooms are very spacious...........with a downstairs den and living area...........very close to Beaverkill Federal Park Campsite where the mouth of the Kill rushes through the valley and Little Pond Park which has a gorgeous walk around the lake.......for us we have over forty years of camping and staying in the Beaverkill Valley and this was the best yet.

Fishing with family and friends!

We really enjoyed our stay despite the cool rainy weather. The fishing was surprisingly good, even in the pouring rain. Neil’s place was cozy and welcoming. The fire in the wood stove was warm and relaxing. It was spacious and open and plenty big for our group of 8. We cooked great dinners on the Weber on the back deck and the house has many nice new features. Eric was flexible and made checking in easy. Thanks for sharing your place with us!

Great place to stay in the Catskills

This house was the perfect place for an October get-away! We had 2 generations - so the layout of the house was perfect. Younger ones had the whole downstairs, 2 sets of parents the upstairs. The kitchen was big and well equipped, great for cooking together - and a large dining room table to gather around. Location was remote and quiet, but towns were accessible. The landscape, especially the trees were gorgeous! Property manager was so helpful and accommodating - even got us out of a jam when we locked our keys in the house! We would definitely come here again!!

Flyfishing Getaway!

A group of fly fishing friends decided that our annual getaway would be to the Catskills this year, and we chose this property for our weekly stay. What a great place to relax! The property was private enough that the wildlife strutted through the backyard as we sat and watched and told our fishing stories. We each had our own bedroom, and the bathrooms were on each floor, fully furnished (like the old saying, "the towels were so plush I could hardly close mys suitcase!) We cooked most of our meals, and the kitchen was equipped with quality utensils, pots, pans, coffee. The kitchen cupboard was well stocked with seasonings and other needs. The next door neighbor introduced himself to us and offered us any assistance. The owner had a caretaker who was very mindful and showed responsiveness if we needed anything. All in all, it was a great stay for us. We look forward to doing this again next year.

Wonderful country experience!

We came up for a week with our dogs and teen daughter. We all fully enjoyed the gorgeous scenery, from the wildflowers to the mature trees, and mountain views. The dogs loved fetch on the big lawn, walking in the woods, creeking up the little stream on the property, and plopping on the cool, tiled floors. We also had a blast at the nearby Downsville Demolition Derby (Congrats Downsville Firemen!). Eric, the caretaker was super responsive and helpful. We will definitely be back.

Amazing week!

Our experience at this property was incredible. The owner, Neil, was very personable and helpful throughout the entire process. He put me in contact with Eric, the caretaker, who was also tremendously helpful and welcoming to the property. The house itself was clean, well maintained, and had everything we were looking for. The huge, private yard was perfect for the kids and the dog to explore the beautiful nature around them. The landscaping was picturesque with trees, wildflowers, a fun tree swing, complete with a beautiful bridge and creek. The fire pit made for great s’mores after a long day of hiking and fishing. The location of this property was the perfect mix of private while still having access to all the activities we were looking for. Thank you for a wonderful week!

Wow! Nicer than my own Home!!!

Mar 18 at 12:53 PM Thanks Neil for opening your home to my friends and I last week. Your house was as pictured, super clean, new with plenty of room for the 6 of us. Kitchen is well done with all that we needed to make our meals- dishwasher and island were huge pluses. Bathrooms were sleek and well appointed. We enjoyed the potbelly stove, the covered deck and Weber grill. We hiked up into the woods and loved the waterfall- must be really nice in the warmer months. The stream running through the back of the property must be awesome in Spring-Fall. TV was not an issue with the Amazon fire stick and Netflix. We will certainly be back. Thank you again!!!!! Family trip!

Our family trip included us and our two kids (4 & 7) and both sets of our parents. We had the downstairs area with three bedrooms and full bathroom with shower so each of our kids had a full sized bed. Each set of parents had their own room with queen bed. They shared a full bathroom with a shower. The kitchen had a coffee pot and Keurig machine. It was fully stocked with utensils, plates and glasses. There were plenty of pots and pans to use. Eric showed us the marshmallow skewers for the fire pit! We loved making s’mores. The deer came up and ate apples while we watched. We also had a number of hummingbirds visit. WiFi is excellent on the property but no service until you get to the nearby towns. Definitely recommend staying here!

Great family getaway from city

We love the Catskills, and were looking for a dog friendly long weekend getaway with a fireplace and room outside for the kids to roam around. Neil’s place was perfect, all the reviews were right on. His home is clean, nicely decorated and had everything we needed. Eric the house manager was great, and even left us some sleds for us to use. My family had a multi night game of Monopoly, made some cozy fires and had some hot cocoa. Also had dance parties with the very serious Bluetooth speaker in the kitchen. Great food and a distillery can be found nearby in Roscoe as well as a fun alpaca farm the kids and dog enjoyed not that much further out. We all were out playing in the snow around the house, and had plenty of room inside to warm up. We want to come back in the summer to enjoy the swimming and fishing out back and across the road that Eric the house manager told us about. If you’re looking to relax away from it all you can’t go wrong here.

Amazing relaxing stay , will be coming back!

We stayed at Neil’s property for a week in February , and the experience has been entirely pleasant from the beginning. Neil communicated the directions to the house in detail , and answered any questions I had right away. The property keeper Eric has also been in touch daily to explain the trails , weather and etc to us. The house is lovely ! Very spacious open design living room and kitchen combo space , lots of windows . The water pressure is great , water is clean ( triple filtered) , beds are comfortable. There are plenty of blankets, pillows and towels in the house. I loved that the kitchen is stocked with literally everything you may need , from blender and slow cooker and full kitchen aid machine - to some pasta and beans and teas ( vis a vis policy - replace what you use ). Everything is clean , no smells , no sign of bugs or rodents. The house is next to a beautiful stream , and there are some trails in the property for hiking that we took full advantage off and hiked to the waterfalls. Overall excellent experience , 5 stars ! Great House, Great Location

The house was amazing, from the moment I booked Neil (the owner) reached out to introduce himself and give me all types of great information and allowed me to ask any questions I had. There was a really impressive amount of communication, he put me in touch with Eric (the caretaker of the property) and Eric was so helpful with getting us there and making sure we found the property okay, even though we showed up pretty late, he waited and had the heat and the lights on for us and gave us a tour of the house to show us everything we could have possibly needed. I can't stress enough how great Eric was, anytime I reach-out to him with a question or advice on something, he would respond in minutes, he's a really great guy. The house is beautiful set and easy to get to if you have the Waze app, it brings you right there. It's stocked with everything you could need, we had young kids and having the baby gates was amazing to keep them confined to the living-room/kitchen area safety. There is no cell service around the house, but there is fantastic wifi in and around the house. Everything was clean and well kept, they take pride in the house and you can tell by the way they upkeep it. There is a huge yard with a beautiful blabbing brook outside, tons of trails too. The neighbor came over and introduced himself and gave us and the kids permission to go on his land to check out a nice pond on his property, also a super nice guy. There are not a whole lot of people living on the street so it's very quiet and there is no light pollution so at night you can see all the stars in the sky while you're having a fire outside. There are two towns near by with ample things to do, restaurants, breweries, hiking and great bbq food. There is an awesome covered bridge right down the road too and with the foliage ripe it was an amazing spectacle. All and All we were really happy to rent this house and will definitely be back in the future.
