Maintenance always came that very day anytime we had a light bulb out or any other minor issue with the condo. Loved to sit out on the balcony and watch the ocean and the dolphins jumping. We did not want to leave after our 8 day stay.
Parents and 2 kids slept comfortably and had ample space. Thatâs where the positivity ends. Upon arrival the first thing we noticed was the door was extremely hard to unlock. Next thing we noticed was a puddle of water in the kitchen in front of the freezer side of the fridge. The ice maker and water was dripping and condensation down the front of the fridge. We tried to get some ice. A few cubes slowly fell out. We tried the water. Black specks poured out along with the water. Upon further inspection the ice dispenser and water spout are completely covered in mold and mildew. Unusable and unsafe. We dealt with buying ice and bottled water the entire week long trip. Next thing we noticed within an hour of arriving were items left by previous tenants. Whatâs the cleaning fee for? I shouldnât find items. Also, under and behind all the furniture is completely disgusting with thick dust. Also, mold and mildew in the shower. Again, whatâs the cleaning fee for? I brought up all these points with the office first thing the next business day. They fixed the lock. Well, thatâs something, I guess.
The property is pretty well maintained. Pretty crowded though. I know itâs summer. Thereâs 3 buildings. So it just depends on what youâre preferences are. But if itâs social distancing, itâs not here.
The beach has eroded so badly thereâs hardly space. Not the condos fault, just nature. But again, depends on what youâre looking for. The beach is the most important part of a beach vacation. Yes? This stretch of beach is just ok. Will the kids have fun? Sure. Can you relax a bit? Probably. Is it anything to write home about? No. Iâve seen much prettier stretches of beach on Perdido. If we had been made aware of the erosion, we would have chose somewhere else.
Also, if you think youâre getting a âprivate beachâ think again. The wrist bands they give you just for the pool. You will have people from the public beach down on your small strip of beach in front of the condos you paid for.
Your mileage may vary. Iâm sure thereâs some really nice condos here. But itâs not this one. This one is minimally adequate.
Location was great!! Especially convenient to the National seashore, Big Lagoon State Park and a very short drive to the Pensacola lighthouse and Naval Aviation museum. Amenities were very nice. Beach was not over crowded and chair/umbrella service was efficient. Our unit was very nicely decorated and had everything we needed!! Only complaint with the unit was the master bed was really squeaky but even with that, I would stay here again!
We had a great time in this property. It was just the right size for four adults and two small children. There is a downfall of no tub, but we worked around that easily. The kitchen was fully stocked, and the amount of storage for our clothes and belonging was wonderful. The only amenity I missed from home was a clothes/towel drying rack, but really, I can't fault that. I loved having standalone washer and dryer. Both pools were wonderful and there is so much ocean frontage with the property that we always felt like we had plenty of space to ourselves.

Nice Property
The property was very nice and quiet. We loved that the beach was private and not crowded. It was nice to have the rental agent for beach chairs on the beach to assist us. The condo was clean and up to date and we appreciated that the air conditioning worked so well since the humidity was strong. I would definitely rent this property again.
There are some things that are frustrating about this unit. First, if you have small children, there is no bathtub(That one could be on me for not catching it in the description, I will know better next time). Next, there are no lights in the closets(Which made finding clothes difficult), but that was not as aggravating, as the fact that when you walk into the bedrooms you find the light switch and flip it and nothing happens. There we no light fixtures in the ceiling and each bedroom had 3 lamps that you had to fumble around in the dark to turn on. Also, the master bedroom mattress is not comfortable at all, and the TV in the master bedroom does not work. Also be prepared to bring toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, laundry and dish soap(Not the room's fault, more of a sandy key policy thing). With all that being said the room has a great view and balcony, beach access, and pools are great(one is heated). So great location, just skip the room if you have small children.
Nice condo, good view. I've never stayed this low (2nd floor) before and i enjoyed the view and the convenience of being able to walk one flight of stairs instead of waiting on the elevator, to get to the beach. This was especially true since one of the elevators was out of commission while we were there. This building is the one nearest the park and that is why we chose it. If you plan on using the pool (or the bathrooms nearest the beach) you will have to walk down to the middle building, as this one does not have either. We did and it wasn't a problem.
This condo has the basics that you will need but no extras. We have stayed in quiet a few condos and they usually have sufficient towels, toilet tissue, soap for the full stay. This condo had one roll of tissue per bathroom, no soap (except 1 used liquid), 2 sets of towels per bathroom (you will have to wash if you have more than 2 people), minimal and basic pots/pans and plates, etc., in kitchen. At least one of the dining room chair's seat was coming off when
you sit on it.
But, like i said at the beginning of my review, this is a convenient, sufficient and clean condo.
This is a super condo unit in a very quite stretch of white sandy beaches! The unit was clean and well appointed. Our stay was an impromptu family reunion. My oldest son flew in from NYC and was so happy to be able to relax at a quiet beach. My other son stayed down the road in Orange Beach and was jealous of our condo and easy access to the beach. The kitchen was well stocked and the appliances were updated which made cooking all our meals enjoyable. The balcony is quite large and we ate all our meals there and had also sunset cocktails. The view is beautiful from the balcony. I would highly recommend this unit.
I have stayed at Sandy Key several times, and this is one of my favorite units. The furnishings are comfortable and nice, and the view is great. The only concern might be the kitchen ware. There are only a few coffee cups and no storage containers. Having said that, I will definitely stay here again!
