Amazing Vacation

Of our friends went to stay at this property for my 30th birthday and it could have not been a better stay. The property did a amazing job at coordinating everything that we needed as well as making our stay seamless and relaxing. The staff was absolutely amazing and they made our stay that much better. Great food, great drinks and a great time. Highly recommend booking this property if you are visiting Casa De Campo.

Wonderful stay in Casa de Campo

Great property, spacious rooms & living areas. Staff was wonderful and very helpful in many ways: cooking breakfast daily, picking up more food/drinks when supply dwindled, fixing any golf cart issues & scheduling transportation from the property to nearby airports upon our departure (in quite a sizable van that could easily fit 6- 8 individuals and their luggage). Would absolutely return to the property and Casa de Campo. An overall ideal vacation getaway! My group would have preferred better communication from the property's end leading up to our stay (I only began receiving responses to my many attempted reach outs for scheduling golf carts, stocking food for the weekend, finalizing accommodations & checking in less than a week out from our scheduled arrival). I also recommend having at least one fluent or nearly fluent spanish speaker in your group when staying at the property to best communicate with the staff. But those two hiccups are minimal in the grand scheme of this wonderful weekend getaway to paradise in the DR! Many thanks to Julio and the property's staff!!

The good outweighed the bad

We were a group of 3 families, 6 adults and 6 teens. We had an incredible week. The villa was spacious and pretty, but needs some extensive TLC. The open air living spaces were lovely and the bedrooms had great AC. The absolute highlight of the villa is the Staff. They are wonderful!!! We only had breakfast prepared for us but it was delicious every day. And it was such a treat to have daily housekeeping at a rental property. Julio, who was onsite 24 hours a day, was so incredible and made sure we had everything we needed and took car of golf cart issues, etc . The downside: the basement had 2 bedrooms and the game room, and had clearly had a lot of water damage. There was a very strong mildew smell. We chose this house for the game room and thank goodness Casa de Campo kept us too busy to need it. The only way I can describe it is disgusting. It was dark and dank, the wood on the bar and other surfaces felt dirty to the touch and had visible white mildew. The pool table had 4 rips in the felt and numerous stains rendering it unplayable. The water pressure was terrible.Toilets were difficult to flush and showers were barely more than a trickle. Hot water wasn't consistent either. Louvre shutters in most bathrooms were wedged shut with empty shampoo bottles. The large round tile table poolside was missing huge patches of tiles,really shabby. But, the good outweighed the bad.The size and location of the villa makes it great for large groups who aren't too picky.

The property was nice. Can use a lil painting here and there. One night it rained and one of the bedrooms lights started flickering off and on because they were getting wet!! The light switch was off at the time. Didn’t know if a fire would start! Julio the butler and the maids were great. You just need an app to translate to communicate with them. That helped a lot. The only issue with this rental property was the property manager Irosca. She DOES NOT reply back in any kind of manor. You can wait weeks and weeks before she does and then it’s not to even answer the questions you had for her. I was to the point of hiring a lawyer because some days we didn’t know if we even had a house to come to. Other than that, nice house, good location. Would hope the home owners find a different property manager. I would not want someone like that to be managing my property!

Spring break trip

We had a great time at this house. The staff were fantastic. Keep in mind the resort and a lot of it’s amenities are not included, and are expensive. There’s also a lot of ‘tipping’ of employees around resort which ends up costing a lot. Be aware of scams, fake police showing up to ask for money with a made up story. The staff took care of it luckily. Everything was as it was described and the house is fantastic. Golf carts also expensive so be aware for big groups. Pool and hot tub were great. Food was great.

Bachelorette Weekend at Casa

We had 14 women from the US coming to visit the property! Due to Covid I was trying to arrange most things through the host, as they have a lot of services advertised. We booked in August for a February trip, and I could not get a hold of the host for most of the months spent planning. I finally was able to get in touch, and it was still a bit spotty until we arrived. The property is very spacious and rooms are as advertised. As other reviews state, there are cats that seem to live on the property so anyone with an allergy should not rent this property. Casa de Campo itself is a fantastic resort, one I hope to come back to soon. We had an excellent time riding around in golf carts to all of the amenities. We booked airport transport and other excursions through the resort as it was too difficult to manage through the host. Additionally, we did not receive our final bill for the groceries and golf carts for over a week after our departure. If you are traveling with a mixed group this is a challenge to collect money this far after the trip. I would highly suggest ensuring you have either a translator app or someone who speaks Spanish to talk directly to the butler, and chefs - this would have made our time easier! the food they prepared was all fantastic! All in all, it is a beautiful resort and a decent property. If you are looking to go to Casa I would book all things on your own.

Great location!

Casa de campo is a great resort area and comes with quite a few amenities. The villa itself is spacious and can comfortably fit 16-20 people. They have maids on-site from 8-5 pm every day and a gardener as well to help with upkeep of the outdoor areas. A few things to note: there is a $25 per person per day fee that you pay upon arrival. You are also responsible for buying your own groceries (down to the oil & spices), and laundry is available on premises. Overall, we really enjoyed staying here! The villa is really beautiful and there’s a lot of stuff to explore within the resort itself. Playa Minitas is a much check out spot - they have a restaurant, bar, shops and food trucks available. Everyone was very helpful during our stay and the food that the maids cooked was absolutely delicious! Would recommend staying here for a large group trip or family vacation!

Weekend getaway in paradise

We rented this villa as a meeting place for all our friends and family staying at Casa de Campo. The place is amazing and the staff is amazing. Since we weren’t there much until late afternoons, the staff prepared food and snacks for us for after they left for the day. There is a sound system with a microphone that came in handy. Pool and hot tub were a hit. Jaw dropping the moment you walk in the door ! Plenty of room for everyone comfortably. Would recommend closing the bathroom doors, keep the room doors closed & turning on the AC as soon as you get there they stay nice & cool. Irosca was always there to answer any questions for us. Thank you for sharing your beautiful Villa with us !

We had 12 women celebrating a birthday and could not have asked for better accommodations!! The house was comfortable to be in with nice amenities. However, the icing on the cake was the staff!! Roger was an absolute delight!!! He catered to us from sun-up to past sun down. He went out of his way to make sure we all enjoyed ourselves!! And the chef made wonderful meals for us to enjoy!! We did not want to leave!!! The only recommendation would be more pool lounge chairs to accommodate larger groups.

Great House!

Our stay at the home was excellent. There were more than enough rooms and beds for our crowd. The pool and outdoor area were amazing. We did not run in to any issues with the home during our stay. Luis and his wife Irosca were great hosts, visiting us upon arrival and making themselves available if we ever needed anything. The staff took great care of us (clean towels and made beds every day, cleaned up throughout the house, made meals when we requested, etc), but be prepared that they speak limited English. Some recommendations to prospective guests: -Get plenty of groceries for your stay. The staff can have meals waiting for you, but you need to make sure that there is food available. There are plenty of restaurants throughout Casa de Campo, but nice to have items available to eat at your house as well. -Make the most of your time at Casa de Campo. Enjoy the beach, play golf, play tennis, go fishing, explore. This house is great, but there is so much to do all around you! -You'll need a car or golf cart for your trip. Casa de Campo is a big place. The house is close to the tennis facilities, but you'll need to drive to most other places onsite. It was a phenomenal trip to CDC. Many thanks again to Angel Luis and Irosca for hosting us!

Wish I had a better experience to share...

This was my 4th visit to Casa de Campo and we were attending a wedding. We normally stay at the resort but were with a group of friends and all our children and decided a villa would be more fun for all of us. Irosca was very nice via email and greeted us upon arrival. She went out and sourced all the groceries we requested. The staff at the villa was extremely nice and as accommodating as possible, but the condition of the villa is not what we anticipated. The main issues: - Villa needs maintenance and care. - Cleanliness of the home overall was lacking. There is a lot of dust and one of the children has allergies so she sneezed the entire trip. - Linens were stained and comforters were worn. Same with towels. We also had no access to a washer machine so we had to wash soiled infant items by hand. - Swimming pool left my daughter's legs covered in blue paint on the first day when they jumped in the pool immediately upon arrival. Didn't seem appropriately chlorinated and water seemed to be dyed a dark blue hue which led us to be concerned for kids' safety and health. As a precaution, we ended up using the pool at the hotel and going to the beach. - Non functioning refrigerator which left us with limited space for infant milk etc. - Water leaking in hallway between living room and dining room. One of my kids slipped and hit their head. - Stick shift golf carts one of which left us stranded on the side of the road and resulted in us arriving late to rehearsal dinner. - Bathroom on top floor facing pool had no hot water. Water pressure was also very low. Same bedroom air conditioner was not fully working so room was hot. - None of the rooms had fans. All had the poles but no blades... - Minimal light in the room to the right at the top of the stairs. In the evening it was impossible to pack or see anything as the only light was the bedside nightstand and overhead light which wasn't very powerful. Same bedroom bathroom shower had low water pressure. - The basement rooms were not comfortable and not conducive for sleeping - my daughter was scared and said it felt like a dungeon. This feedback is being provided constructively for the benefit of other renters. We were so disappointed in this rental.

Amazing Villa

We rented this villa for our daughter's wedding at Altos de Chavon. The villa owner's Irosca and Angel Luis were extremely gracious host. Irosca assisted us with airport transportation as well as planning a rehearsal dinner for 50 people at the villa. Irosca and her husband went above and beyond what any other villa owner would do and made themselves available to our family 24/7. We could not have asked for a better place to stay and entertain our friends and family.

Amazing Villa With Amazing Service!

A group of golf buddies and myself just returned from a 4 day/3 night stay and we could not be happier with our experience. The villa itself is absolutely gorgeous and has everything you could want is right there on site. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were comfy. The bathrooms were clean and had hot water with good pressure. The game room downstairs was perfect for some billiards after a long day of golf. The best part of the villa itself is the outdoor space. As soon as you walk into the villa, it opens up right to the pool and deck area and the jacuzzi was a perfect way to relax at night. But, by far, the most impressive part of the experience were the staff and owners. Ramon (the chef), Josefina, Maria and Fausto were always there to make sure we had everything we needed while we were there. The food was phenomenal! Irosca and Angel Luis, the owners, were amazing. They were extremely accommodating to all our requests and always went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied with our experience. No one wanted to leave at the end of our time. But we will be back to Casa de Campo for more golf and we will definitely be staying here again!

Beautiful Villa!

Our stay in this wonderful property can only be described with one word , AMAZING ! All areas of the house are in perfect condition ! The weather in La Romana was very good and we were allowed to enjoy the pool house and Playa Minitas , the private beach of Casa de Campo. We visited the wonderful Marina of Casa de Campo and took a trip back in time to 16th century in Altos de Chavon.... An unforgettable experience! The staff of the house was very friendly and always willing to help . Mr. Angel Luis and the sweet Irosca always polite and ready to collaborate with us on what we need . My family and I had a very good in Tenis Villa 34 -B and are already planning our next trip! Thank you!

Perfect getaway during the coldest weekend in NYC

Presidents Day weekend in NYC was the coldest weekend of the year. We escaped the cold and rented this fantastic villa. 8 of us (couples and singles) departed from New York and Boston and upon our arrival we had multiple drivers waiting for us at Santo Domingo airport to bring us to the villa (which the owners arranged). Once at the villa we were greeted with 2 four person golf carts and the staff that treated us like we were family. The refrigerator was stocked with food and drinks that we pre-ordered. We woke up to a Dominican prepared breakfast and lunch everyday. We spent most days of the long weekend at the beautiful beach and our host arranged for us to rent a 70ft boat which was amazing. The owners also helped with dinner reservations every night. The house and property were perfect for what we were looking for. Thank you again for a great weekend and all your help!

Very poor water pressure in showers.. Cold showers at best . Appliances in kitchen are very old. Refrigerator leaked resulting in puddles on kitchen floor requiring towels to absorb water Bedrooms in basement are very dated. My family refused to sleep there Would not recommend this villa

Thank you for your comment, for us all coments are an opportunity to improve the quality of our guests experience. As we explained you, during your stay, the poor water pressure was cause by a broken pipe in our neighborhood and Casa de Campo fixed that issue in 2 days. We don't understand that you had no hot water, during your stay. We checked all baths and heaters are working perfectly. In fact, one day after your departure, we had another group for one week and everything was fine. The refrigerator hose in the back, was not in the right position, that is now working properly. We are going to take into consideration, what could be improve in the decoration of that bedroom as we had no complains before about it. Thanks

Breathtaking Villa!

My fiance and I arrived on Saturday morning and we were amazed at how beautiful this villa is. The staff at the villa were the sweetest and the owners Irosca and Angel are the most remarkable humans. We did not know what to expect before arriving to the gate of Casa De Campo, but on the drive through CDC, all of the views were so beautiful. The villa was everything we hoped for and more. We will definitely be coming back.

The villa is spectacular, very spacious, comfortable, well located. The staff is extremely friendly, cook real good, and kept villa knit. The owners were always available for question and addressed any issues in a timely manner. Definitely would stay again

Amazing Vacation

Beautiful house, plenty space, confortable, love the staff, they were very generous and helpfull. Casa de Campo is a beautiful place, I recommend to go to Cafe Marietta to have a nice time. If you have teenagers they defenitely will love the place. And Mr.Angel Peguero was ALWAYS available to help.

Beautiful Property!

The staff is great and the owner and his wife make a big effort to to make you feel welcome upon arrival. We had a small problem with a water tube while we were at the villa and the owners quickly made sure that the situation was fixed. This is a great spot for a big group of friends or large family.

Beautiful Villa!

The house is perfect for big groups, it is beautifully decorated, specially in the common areas. Teenagers had a blast in Casa de Campo (CDC) being independent driving golf carts, while the adults enjoyed the house and the CDC amenities. The owners were very attentive and Irosca made every effort for us to enjoy ourselves. The house service was really nice, specially Lily who cooked homestyle meals for us. The only complaint was having flies and mosquitoes, but I guess that is part of the tropics, and could be managed with more ceiling fans. It was a memorable vacation. Would love to come back!
