I really enjoyed my stay at Jay's place. The lication was perfect for me, close to the park and restaurants. It was bigfer than I had anticipated and has everything you need. I highly recommend this cabin for a single or couple!! I will stay here again when I return to Estes Park.
Charming little place to ease the burden of getting in and out of Estes Park over a weekend. We needed a spot for two nights that was affordable but romantic as well.
We had a wonderful stay in this cozy cabin!! Great neighborhood with incredible views!!! Great communication with owner. Very easy check in and check out process. Would definitely stay again!!!
This is our second time staying at this comfortable, affordable, and attractive cottage. The electric fireplace, ceiling fan, and Jacuzzi tub are nice amenities. My husband and I slept well here, and we ate most of our breakfasts and dinners here as well. I love the location because we didnât need to drive through Estes Park to get to the national park. We highly recommend it. Jay, our host, was accessible but respectful our privacy.
Despite the studio-like accommodations, everything was so spacious and not crowded at all. The kitchen had tons on counter space and storage, as did the bathroom. The beautiful balcony was great for bird watching and stargazing. One thing to note is that mattress is on the soft side, which we liked, but keep in mind if thatâs a deal breaker. In unit laundry was extremely convenient for us and the location was perfect. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend this cozy little space.
The cottage was perfect! It had everything I needed for a wonderful stay. A fireplace heater, AC, all kitchenware for a nice meal, Roku/Smart TV. And the location was outstanding - so close to both RMNP, Bear Lake, and to town! Lots of wildlife, birds, deer/elk visited as well :)I would absolutely stay again!
The cottage was in a quiet neighborhood on the edge of town. Well equipped such that it felt like we were in our own house. Mr Vetter was a kind man that I had a nice visit with as we were leaving.
Great base for Rocky Mountain National Park/Indian Peaks
This "chalet" was ideal for me. The place had all the amenities one could expect and more, plus a simple but efficient layout. You can see a snow-capped peak or two from the deck out back (equipped with a grill) as well as a small stream. A neighbor's bird feeder attracts feathered-friends that were unfamiliar to me.And it would be difficult to find an available property closer to the park entrance...or to the road leading south along the eastern edge of the park to Indian Peaks. If you want, you can stock up on supplies in Estes Park and avoid that traffic for the rest of your stay...although the town has several charming shops accessible if you avoid peak times and find a place to park. The chalet sits diagonally next to the owners' "big house." That may freak some out, but I had several pleasant conversations with them and they leave you alone unless you need something. They have thoughtfully created a mini-guidebook with everything from to local eating establishments to their favorite hikes. It's a newer structure and very clean and attractive (compared to some of the houses down the road, FWIW).I would for sure stay there again.-IMPORTANT: Well before your visit, get your timed entry passes to the national park...and parking passes for Indian Peaks if desired.
Jays cottage is in an excellent condition and includes everything for a comfortable stay. The Beaver Meadow entrance station of the RMNP less than 5 minutes from the cottage, so it's very convenient for a visit of RMNP. And Jay is a very friendly and helpful host.
Cottage was clean and well equipped with all kitchen needs. Location was perfect for enjoying Estes Park and accessing RMNP. Property owners were very nice. Would definitely stay here again.
This was a peaceful little gem of a cottage. The owners live in front and are friendly; you're in the back and will look out over their wild-life filled backyard. The area is not super remote but it is not as busy as other motel-filled spots in the area. Really close to the park. I loved the small back deck too.
I was in Estes Park for 3 days. This property was perfect for my needs. Very nice cabin with everything I needed. I met the host a couple of times and we had some nice conversations. At the same time, I had complete privacy.
Great location to get to RMNP. and many good restaurants nearby. A great restaurant about a half block from the property. Easy access to downtown EP.
Overall, a very nice place to stay and I have it at the top of my list for my next trip to Estes Park.
The property includes a home in which we live and garage with a loft apartment above it in addition to the cottage. We bought it as our retirement home because of its location and great mountain views. We have vacationed here regularly since 1970 and have always wanted to spend more time here.
We appreciate that we have extra space for family to visit and are also able to generate a little extra income while welcoming guests who love this area as much as we do.
