Awesome for family reunion.

This is the largest house I have ever been in - it slept 16 comfortably and was the perfect location for our family reunion. You are minutes away from the trails and lakes in Heber Springs but still in a quiet country setting. My kids played on the tennis court and I liked that there was plenty of parking. I highly recommend this place for large groups.

Great Getaway

Everything was great about this place! If you’re looking for a NICE quiet getaway for you and your family I recommend this place. Far enough away to feel like you’re in the country, yet close enough to a Walmart if needed.

This was the second time we have stayed here and it did not disappoint! Kent is very helpful and the house and grounds are beautiful. Everything we need is there with beautiful Greers Ferry lake nearby. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Mansion by the lake

We had a family reunion (my wife and I) with our three children and there families. Each family had their own bedroom and bathroom. This made it very easy for our large group to get ready all at the same time. The kitchen and living room areas were perfect for us. The outside amenities and lot made it easy for children to go out and play various yard games. The location was also extremely close to everything on the lake and in town. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Lake Trip 2023

This house was perfect for our family trip! We love all the bedroom and bathroom space! The large kitchen and dining room were perfect for large family meals. The outside porches for sitting and relaxing and tennis court were perfect for afternoon tennis and pickle ball! We will definitely use this house in the future!!!!

Loved Heber Springs!

Our children and grandchildren joined us before 3 days and 4 nights near Heber springs Arkansas. The rental home was great. There was plenty of room for everyone. The tennis court in back was great fun for both adults and kids. We played tennis and pickleball. We will probably vacation there again. The owner was helpful and responsive to any questions that we had.

Best time!

The Rose was a perfect home for our family gathering to witness the eclipse TOTALITY with 20 family members. Loved the porch overlooking the tennis court! The owner was easy to work with! Apparently the housekeeper had had an injury that week before so the floors could have been cleaner but it was not a problem. The home is comfortable and the kitchen has everything we needed to create fantastic meals. We fixed a couple of wobbly chairs and left an embroidered oak leaf. Just loved our stay in Heber Springs!

Family Reunion

“The Rose” offers so much more than we ever expected. The house is absolutely incredible, and everyone had their own spaces to sit and enjoy each other. The wrap around porches, the tennis court, the game room, the library and a piano, huge kitchen, plenty of bathrooms. We hope to come back in years to come…it was truly a memorable experience for all of us! Thanks, Kent, for being a great host.

50th wedding anniversary family reunion

The house was a perfect size for my family We really enjoyed the grounds The location of the house was close to the trails we hiked and to the beautiful lake Only negatives were that some the furniture really need to be replaced Chairs around the dining table were filthy and sofas in piano room need to be replaced and the stove as well The host was available to answer my text promptly

Dirty, very dirty.

The house was not clean. Mold and mildew in the bathrooms, grease on the stove, dust build up on most surfaces. We had to buy cleaning products and cleaned the place upon arrival. Two of the four bathrooms did not function properly, which I believe the owner was aware of before our arrival, based on comments from his representatives. When we complained, the owner became indignant. He did provide a partial refund.

Fantastic rental for a big group!

We had an excellent experience at this property! The house was well equipped, the property was fantastic, and all ages were happily occupied. The teens loved the tennis court, pool table, and having their own space on the third floor, the younger kids loved the frisbee golf and exploring, and the adults enjoyed coffee on the deck. . The owner was very responsive and helpful, as well. There’s a great little grocery store within a few minutes (they also sell firewood for the fire pit), and the lake is just minutes away. The back property can be brambly and wet, so pack rubber boots and long pants if you intend to ramble. Also note that the showers do not come equipped with soap or shampoo like many rentals. This may be a Covid thing and was no big deal since there’s a store up the road but it felt worth noting since we’ve gotten lazy about packing everything for the shower due to other experiences. Really, really great house with plenty of space for a big group.

Anniversary celebration

My family came together from around the country for a few days to celebrate our parents 50th anniversary. We knew we wanted to stay in one house, if possible, and this looked like a good fit online. There was some confusion when booking with what the actual bedroom situation would be (seemed to be conflicting information), but everything was perfect when we got there. A master bedroom downstairs. 4 double/queen rooms on the second floor, one with an en suite bathroom and another with an additional twin bed. There is also a small room with a set of bunk beds (and a foosball table). The 3rd floor has an open room with a double bed and 2 twins, as well as a bathroom and a pool table. We made all of our meals there, and the kitchen was fully outfitted with everything we needed. Plenty of seating for socializing and for eating. The tennis court outside was already lined for pickleball (thank you!), and got a lot of use. Overall, this is a beautiful house on a gorgeous property and it was perfect for this special gathering for our family.

A Rose is a Rose

This was our second stay at Rose House in as many years. Perfect for family gathering. The tennis court is a big hit for outside playing w/o mud. Close enough to town for needs and far enough away for peace and quiet.

Property was as advertised

Suited our needs very well as the property was described. It is a wonderful property. It is beginning to age, but that was not an issue for us. Not certain the fire alarms work as they are important to maintain in this 3 story home. We will be returning to this property in the future for sure. Lots of room and beautiful surroundings.

Great Yard for Outdoor Activities

Fun outdoor space for kids. Enjoyed the tennis court and disc golf baskets, porches, and overall room to explore. Very functional space for a large family gathering. Spacious rooms were a good fit for our crew, kitchen was well equipped for prepping meals for our group of 18, and the location is only a few minutes from a park with a swimming area. The only significant concern we had was that smoke detectors had been taken down, perhaps to have batteries replaced, and had not been put back up. That is a critical item for us with family and children spread out over three floors. Hopefully that has been corrected; we notified the host. Stairs were not a problem for us but be advised you would need to be prepared to take extra care with very small children. It has only one bedroom on the ground floor. Giving 5 stars for listing accuracy; everything as expected. We had a great time.

Great time!

Loved the house, plenty of space, relaxing, well stocked kitchen, plenty of towels, loved the little basket of "in case you forgot items", altho we didn't need any of them. Only thing wrong: the ice maker did not work but owner brought us a bag of ice .I would like to have stayed a week or so.
