The house was very nice, clean and comfortable. The beds and towels were also clean. Now I will say that the smoke detector battery needs to be changed. It beeped all weekend and the spiderwebs were everywhere. The house just needs to be dusted .
This house is everything it says it is! The house is absolutely beautiful, the area is extremely quite and relaxing. The house is very well stock. My husband loves nature and he was obsessed with feeding the wildlife. Having the deer come right up to the deck was beautiful. I would highly rec!
We came here as winter getaway and it was everything weâd hoped for. There was a fair amount of snow which made the entire lake resort a wonderland. Great fireplace, extremely comfortable, and loved seeing the deer and birds. We canât wait to come back!
Our family truly enjoyed our stay at the Lakefront. The surrounding resort has so much to offer we barely had to leave. There is a private beach on the lake and kayaks to rent. Plus stunning views, trails and intriguing wildlife.
The house is great as well. A large common area as well, as private spaces. The biggest key to me about the house was the kitchen. This was one of the most well stocked rental home kitchens I've stayed at. I felt so much at home preparing meals for my family!
The house is very comfortable and the view and walking trail across the road are great. It was wonderful sitting out on the porch by the pond at night where we listened to the frog and the birds. Very easy drive to Deep Creek.
Thanks for allowing us to enjoy your home. We love Alpine Lake and have rented cabins there since we sold our in the early 2000's. The cabin is very spacious and nice. The view is breathtaking. Highly recommend.
Beautiful place and the most comfortable beds! We enjoyed the outside firepit, cedar tub and a nice walk around the lake. We loved staying here and would definitely come back again. The owner was so nice and helpful. It helped make our holidays extra special! Thank you!!
This was our first vacation together with parents and everyone loved this Log house. We love coming back and have more fun.
Tak and Yuki are very friendly made all comfort arrangements for our stay.
Thankyou Tak and Yuki

We again had a great time at the Lakehouse. The pond was fun to watch and the atmosphere was so pleasant. Two suggestions. Provide portable fans and pan scrubbers in the kitchen. Thanks again for offering your lovely home.
What a fantastic house! We had a great time with our friends at the lakefront cabin and will definitely be back. I must say, the heated toilet seat was a highlight for us in the cold weather.. ha! All the amenities were as advertised and the condition of the house was perfect. We look forward to going back!
What a wonderful Thanksgiving get away we all had at this beautiful lake house !
House was spotless, view is beautiful, furnishings are perfect. Comfy beds, comforters and pillows. We had a cozy fire going as we watched a foot of snow come down. Owners have spared no expense ( bidet, cedar hot tub, massage chair in master bedroom, large TV, security cameras, )
the list goes on....and on !
Beautiful house by the lake. Very clean when we arrived. Everything you need is there. Communication with the owner was excellent. The best house around us that had the perfect access to the lake and paths. Beautiful colors in the trees. The security guards were very nice and we felt very safe. The houses around us were very quiet and friendly. We would love to book again next year.

Canât wait to go back. Great get away for NYE weekend. Iâm not sure why some of the bad reviews are there because- yes thereâs going to be some dog hair when the property allows dogs (which we love) and clearly if youâre in the middle of the woods on a lake there is going to be wildlife and yes, you may spot a mouse. Was great in the winter so spring will also be great. Close to Deep Creek, but also secluded and quiet.
This house is beautiful very clean and very well equipped. My grandson, who is 7 said this was the best family vacation ever! The Alpine Lake community offered a variety of activities for all. A short walk to the lake where we caught several fishâŠthe fire pit was great for sâmores. The kitchen was very functional. My one daughter-in-law took pictures to try to convince her family to visit this rental for her motherâs 70th birthday. We loved it. One suggestion/critique: there were a few too many âdo, donât, pleaseâ postsâŠ.the one place where more information was needed in the media center. The older generation was cluelessâŠ. Bottom line we never go to the same place for the family vacationâŠbut if we did we would return to Lake View Chalet in Alpine Lake.
The property is nicely laid out, however, the amount of cobwebs hanging from the light fixtures and ceilings was not acceptable. The mold in the bathrooms was gross. I wouldnât even shower in the master bath with the black mold inside and outside of the shower. The house really needs some TLC in these areas. When I first used the washer the smell was terrible and most likely the tub needs to be cleaned. On our last night in the home there was a mouse running across the floor and ran under the bed. We never found it! Needless to say I did not sleep much! The owner was quick to respond and very apologetic. It
We were looking for a quiet mountain getaway for our family (two adults with three kids aged 8, 7, 4 + grandparents), and we really could not have found a better place!
First the cabin: it's got a great open main living space with the exposed wood look to really make you feel like you're in a classic cabin. The owner has done an amazing job in fitting it with comfy furniture, everything one might need for a stay, everything is clearly labeled, and has extra touches that our kids enjoyed like a movie library, a little pond with fish and frogs, and even a little chipmunk toy that repeats sound in high-pitched voice--our 4 year old couldn't get enough of this thing. The kitchen and bathrooms are nicely updated even with bidets. The cabin is also great for working from home with fiber-optic internet and a couple of workstations.
The location: The cabin is right on the lake and I can't count the number of times we went to the lakeshore to just run around, skip rocks, and enjoy the beautiful vista especially around sunset over the woods across the lake. There are also trails along the lake and a small beach about a mile away, which, in addition to the main resort pool/fitness center, gave us plenty of options to enjoy our visit--which is something that isn't typically possible with mountain cabins.
Our kids are already clamoring to come back to this cabin--and we would absolutely love to return soon!
We booked this property based on 2 main factors, beautiful home and lake accessâŠneither disappointed! In addition to the spacious living area and clean design shown in the photos, this property is well appointed & organized with many little touches, (bird/deer feed, heated toilet seats/bidets, cooking spices, bug spray, puzzles, etc.) Our family of 4 adults was very comfortable here. The lake view from inside the large windows or from outside on the covered porch is great. I hesitated at first to book this property because there is no private dock for kayaking and thereâs a road between the house and lake. Donât let this deter you. The road is small & quiet and the drive to the public boat launch or beach is only 5 minutes. Thereâs a lake-loop hiking trail directly across the road which leads to many great spots for fishing or observation, including natural boulders and man-made benches. (I canât believe this trail isnât highlighted in the photos or mentioned by others - itâs one of the best amenities!) While staying here, we came to appreciate the lack of docks jutting from every property and the buildings being set-back from the shoreline. These restrictions and others help to conserve the pristine lake, natural beauty, and provide for a quiet, relaxed setting. Iâm sure the time of year played a part (just after Labor Day) but we practically had the lake to ourselves. Responsive owner and friendly neighbors & community staff added to our stay.
Before you book you must fill out a 4 page doc usign. That document tells you that you have to pay for the use of the cedar tub, firewood, and more than one trash bag. That should be on the description. Also the massage chair you have to pay for as well. I wanted to add an extra night a week before we went and I quote she said âseriously I just did the paper workâ. Cobwebs are everywhere, dust is everywhere and mold is in the shower bad. I wanted to show the photos to the homeowner since they are date and time stamped. I hope they get back with me. The cameras are creepy and the surveillance screen in the kitchen is a little much. The cabin is in a great location, it is beautiful land and outside is probably wonderful in the summer when itâs not all grown up with weeds. The cabin is gorgeous and the layout is nice. Kitchen was clean. Beds were nice.
The house had everything we needed. The host communicated great with us if we had questions, and also to let us know about an issue with the water heater that would need fixed on the day of our arrival, which worked out well. The location is the best part. We loved to sit on the front porch, or in the hammock we brought, to just enjoy the view and being outside. Enjoyed many walks and exploring by the lake.
White pine log warmth and rich scent will welcome you. Spacious comfortable space and bedding will surely give you a peace of mind during your stay. Your time at Alpine Lake will be a special for you.
