Lake house was great, kitchen had everything you needed to cook meals. Covered patio made the sittingoutsideduringthe afternoons great. Our family had an amazing time.
Excellent house. Very roomy, clean and well stocked. Great lake access. That said we will never use VRBO again. They collected full deposit on June 14 and did not return till August 6. I give the house 5 stars and VRBO 0 stars.
I normally don't leave reviews but I wished someone would've told me these things in advance. The house is very clean and well organized, loved that! Lots of room, it's very spacious for groups. Now the downside, there is very minimal service for phones etc. if you ever have any at all. The a/c has to be kept at 72 degrees or above or it will freeze and you'll be without any air for at minimum 6 hours. The plumbing has issues, although a family of four staying we didn't have any issues. There are signs in the bathroom that if you clog the toilet from not flushing often enough you will be responsible for the plumbing service cost. We tried watching the house provided Netflix/disney and problem with both. The first night there was no service for either to stream and the second night both services were shut off and we had no access to any streaming on the tv whatsoever the remaining of the stay. The pool table leans, so if you are an avid player this is aggravating. There is very minimal view of the lake and what seemed to us an easy walk/"hike" down to the lake but then large logs and such to where you wouldn't be able to get in the water without issues. As far as the roads to the house are concerned, they are well maintained but extremely curvy and you want to make sure you have good brakes as the roads are steep. I hope this helps someone as I said I would have like to have known this from someone's previous stay.
We had a wonderful stay at Lake Escape. Initially before booking I was a little concerned because it is an older property however this house was a pleasant surprise. It was very clean, tons of space and a well stocked kitchen. It is on the lake across from the Sailboat Marina. In the evening, we saw a deer come through the yard while spending time on the deck. All my questions were promptly answered and I asked a lot of questions! They helped us navigate parking arrangements and even provided pictures so we could better understand the layout of the driveway.Great trip!!!
The home was very well stocked and clean. Lots of room & space for our 7 adults, 1 infant & 3 dogs. We only wished that the view was better from the deck - too many trees. The roads in were scary steep & windy, but you get used to them. Roads are well maintained but GPS struggles & 5G fails close to the home. Very good neighborhood.
The house is located at the end of a small cove on the lake, there is a little view of the lake however the trees obscure most of the view. The house itself was comfortable and cozy on those rainy days and we had several during our stay. We did not find the access to the lake very easy and there were several trees in the water where you would try to get in from the shore. It was a quiet and relaxing stay, enjoyed sitting out on the back deck reading and listening to the sounds of nature. Took multiple walks with our dogs and at least once a day we saw deer on our walks, even had an eagle fly near by. Would recommend a stay here if what you are looking for is to slow down a bit and enjoy some relaxation.
My wife and I and a group of our friends stayed at this house after weather forced us to cancel our float trip. It was spacious and quiet and the pool table came in handy when had to stay indoors.
We stayed in the home for 5 days and 4 nights. Our family had a great time hanging out together in the main part of the home. The lower level where most of us slept was not comfortable and smelled of âbasementâ that stuck to our clothes and persons throughout the trip.
Beds/mattresses seemed a little too old and we could have used more blankets available to us When we rented we werenât informed of a burn ban so no fire pits use was allowed. That would have been nice to know before we got there as well as the area has heavy mosquitoes and chiggers. It didnât help that the windows and patio didnât have screen doors to allow fresh air in the house We would not stay there again. I didnât contact the manager as these things were not solvable before we were leaving. The house was clean overall from a housekeepers perspective.
We really enjoyed our stay. It was what we were looking for, a nice quiet area. The house had everything we needed to prepare our meals except the food. It's unfortunate there isn't a grocery store closer to this community. I imagine the locals think the same thing.
Everything was clean and just as described. Communication with the manager was good. If we are ever in the area again, we will remember this home.
Three generations of our family gathered for a winter holiday. We played games, watched movies and enjoyed good food. Plenty of room for everyone and the house looked as described! Very nice stay!!
We have stayed at this location once before a few years ago. We noticed some updates that were made since our previous stay; such as counter tops, and a well stocked kitchen.
We appreciate the place being pet friendly! The check in and out process is very simple.
Easy access to the water.
First of all, the location of this home was incredible! If you just want outdoor space, this is the house for you. However, there were some big issues for us. First of all, you have to go to a separate location to get keys and drop them off. Not a deal breaker, but annoying when we were ready to be in vacation mode. We were informed by the property manager when we picked up the keys that the carpet had been ripped up from the bunk room due to water issues. They had done repairs 4 years ago and âit didnât holdâ. The bunk room has mold and more water came in with the rain, so we were unable to use it or really the downstairs at all due to mold. There is mold under the grout in the showers. Donât come here if you have mold allergies. In addition , one of the bedrooms downstairs had an incredibly hard bed. Whenever the toilet is flushed you can smell sewer on the back porch (concern for a sewer venting issue or a dead animal). The house has mice. There is a large pile of droppings by the AC unit and the wood is saturated with waste. There are chewed up soap bars in the kitchen cabinets and we heard mice in the cabinets by the fireplace (and there are droppings). The location is beautiful, but multiple family members had to leave due to the mold issue. To top it off, the property manager showed up while we were enjoying the lake. Came down the path clapping and yelling my name. She then let me know our vehicles on the street needed to be moved. Not great, wonât be back.
We had an amazing stay! There wasnât any cell coverage so the kids were upset but my wife and I absolutely loved disconnecting from the world and enjoying the lake.
The house was as it was explained. The kitchen had plenty of utensils for our cooking needs. The fenced in yard is a bit small but it worked to let our lab move freely. Definitely woolen stay at this house again.
We rented this property because of its proximity to our own lake house. It was perfect for housing our guests and enjoying the open living areas. Recently renovated kitchen was an added bonus!
