Nice place

Lovely accomodation in a cozy village. Really great service from the host, who welcomed us upon arrival. By arrangement he had delivered pizza to the whole family and it was super nice when we arrived late. Had good contact with the host several times, who fixed minor challenges. Howevre, there is no minimarket or tavern ind the village.

Words can’t fully describe the incredible hospitality we experienced at this gorgeous villa nestled in a charming village. From the moment we arrived, Vasilias made us feel like family. He graciously accommodated an early check-in and even brought us lunch after our travels. The villa itself is stunning. Beautifully restored from its original construction in the late 1880s, it perfectly blends historic character with modern comfort. There were 10 adults in our group, and everyone had plenty of space to relax and enjoy the property. What made our stay truly special was the sense of community. During our visit, we had the privilege of witnessing a traditional village wedding. The entire village paraded right in front of the villa on their way to the centuries-old church, which is still used for local celebrations today. It was an unforgettable glimpse into local life.We also spent an evening at the nearby tavern owned by Vasilias’ neighbor. The kindness of the villagers was remarkable—his wife even brought us fresh fruit, vegetables, cheese, and olives during our stay.Vasilias also invited us to his restaurant in downtown Rethymno, where we enjoyed a magical dinner. His generosity extended beyond our stay as well. After I accidentally left my jacket behind, he promptly shipped it to my next destination. This was truly a special experience, and we would return in a heartbeat. If I could give a 10 out of 10 stars, I absolutely would. Thank you, Vasilias from all of us!!!

Good afternoon, Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your incredible review and for taking the time to share such a wonderful description of your stay. We are truly delighted to hear that your experience was so memorable and that Vasilias' hospitality made you feel at home from the very first moment. Your kind words about his warm welcome, thoughtful gestures, and genuine care mean a great deal to us, and we will be sure to share your compliments with him. It is wonderful to know that you appreciated the unique character of the villa, where the history of the original 19th-century building blends with modern comforts, and that it provided plenty of space for your entire group to relax and enjoy your time together. We are especially pleased that you had the opportunity to experience authentic Cretan village life by witnessing a traditional wedding and enjoying the warmth and generosity of the local community. These genuine moments are what make Crete so special, and we are delighted that they became part of your holiday memories. Thank you also for mentioning your visit to Vasilias' restaurant and the assistance you received after your departure. Providing heartfelt hospitality and taking care of our guests, even after their stay has ended, is something we truly value. It was an absolute pleasure hosting you all, and we sincerely hope to welcome you back in the future for another unforgettable stay. Your kind words are the greatest reward we could receive. Top Aufenthalt

Prachtige tijd in Skouloufia

We thank you for taking the time to review our property and for all your valued remarks, as we believe excellent accommodation comes from constant improvement. Notice please that the kitchen equipment is very well maintained and we never had any kind of complaints in the past. But in case you noticed anything from the utensils that were much used, the owner is always available to replace it with a new one. During your stay we didn't receive any notification about this issue. If you had told us about it, the owner would have replaced it immediately. We would love to welcome you again to our beautiful island and offer you another memorable stay! Vicky Stavropoulou - Reservations Department

Great House

Wonderful house - great outside areas. Nice village, very small but has both terverna and playground. The mountains and near by other villlages are nice to visit. Perfect place to stay if you want to relax and make small trips. Beach in near by big town is also fine 👍

Crete 2019

We were made welcome as soon as we arrived. A food “basket” was waiting upon our arrival which was plenty for the 8 of us until we could go shopping the next day. The property was very spacious and clean. Helen the cleaner came in every 2/3 days to clean the Villa, change beds and towels. We had a fantastic stay and was made to feel welcome from the owner as soon as we arrived. Such a beautiful island with lots to see. Would definitely go back.
