Excellent place for a quiet, chilled holiday!
Myself and family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this villa. It was clean, private, secure and an ideal size for my family of five.
A short drive to the quiet town of Corvera which has everything you need food wise. There is an excellent English speaking bar with good food and entertainment as well as sport for my teenage son!
A 25-30 minutes drive to the centre of Murcia, which is a beautiful traditional Spanish City with a range of restaurants and bars.
Alongside the Villa location and holiday being excellent, the communication and helpfulness of Karen and Mark was outstanding pre, during and post holiday! Due to unforeseen circumstances at home our holiday arrangements had to change slightly and they accommodated us without any hesitation or qualms.
We would definitely recommend this villa to those wishing for a a quiet, relaxing holiday!
Property was lovely, inside was well equipped, although too much furniture in lounge, we couldnt use the dining table as it was over crowded. Outside space looked lovely, but not safe, no fence at all down one side, close to car park. Astro turf got so hot, burnt your feet. Flies in their 1000's the whole time, farm smells, mostly in the evening. Could not enjoy the outside space at all. Pool area (baby pool) edges made from broken shells, both grandchildren cut their toes, which was emailed along with photos to management company, as yet a week and half later, we have had no reply. Out on a limb with the location, no transport at all. We were fortunate to meet a person who took us around the local area, or else our family of six would have been so isolated. We walked into village several times, which was like a desert in the heat, shops were closed in the afternoons. Hardly any bars , few restuarants, the best being 62 Corvera. We saved long and hard for this holiday, and were very dissapointed with the whole experience. Our first visit to Spain ever. Farm smells the whole time too. We are usually positive speaking people. But honestly, this place was very over priced for the area. Speaking to locals who rent for £450 per month.
We would not return. We met a few lovely people, but the resort and area, nothing to draw you back. Couldnt even enjoy the outside garden space.

It does get very hot in August and it is difficult to walk bare foot anywhere (grass, concrete, even the beach), and to help with the heat our apartment does benefit from air conditioning.
Most hot arid countries in summer do experience flies and mosquitoes, but there are plenty of repellent devices in and around the apartment. Mr Holmes did not contact us or our local agent about his fly problem at the time, if he had done so we could have taken additional measures (like everybody else in the resort).
The nearest shops and restaurants are located in a small traditional Spanish village, and like much of Spain they observe a siesta which makes the village quieter in the afternoons.
Corvera resort is close to Murcia city and the beaches (around 15-20
minutes drive), but we always recommend car hire. Mr Holmes said he was going to hire a car, but unfortunately did not.
People who wish to visit a bustling, touristy resort, we would recommend
going closer to the coastline and beach resorts of the Costa del Sol.
We chose Corvera because it is quieter, more rural and more cosmopolitan
(many of the residents on the resort are in fact Spanish), and with a car you can make lots of different and interesting trips.
Locals who rent for £450 per month are long term renters, not short term holiday rentals. Our rental price is in line with other HomeAway properties.
In relation to the pool, it is surrounded by standard composite flags, not
shells. It is a very safe area, although it is unfortunate that the children experienced minor accidental cuts.
We take all feedback seriously and act upon it. In this instance, Mr Holmes
enjoyed the apartment itself, but was not really prepared for a holiday in
Spain in high summer in a rural resort with no car. We always try to make it
clear to guests that Corvera is different to most other resorts in Spain.
Our other guests this summer have loved it and reported no issues with flies
or mosquitoes. They feel much safer with their kids as well.
In fact one of our Spanish guests Lluis in June 2019 described the experience as "....Perfect to know all Múrcia, it has absolutely everything you need, also if you are traveling with small or medium children ... Everything works like a Swiss watch: parking, household appliances, swimming pool, air-con....".

Perfecto para conocer toda Múrcia, tiene absolutamente de todo lo necesario, también si se viaja con niños pequeños o medianos... Funciona todo como un reloj suizo: parquing, elecrodomésticos, piscina, aire.
Park verkeerd in staat van faillissement. Voorzieningen niet of slecht onderhouden.
Bij aankomst summiere uitleg ontvangen van tussenpersoon. Huis was niet echt schoon. Staat te huur voor maximaal 8 personen, maar er zijn geen pannen om voor 8 personen te koken.
Zwembad lag op ruim 100 meter lopen van het huis.
Beddengoed was te smal.
Doordat de eigenaar ook zijn eigen spullen daar had liggen, was er te weinig kastruimte om kleding op te bergen.
Prettig bij het warme weer was de airconditioning.
Het park verkeerd in staat van faillissement. Hierdoor waren sportfaciliteiten niet onderhouden. Een golfcourse is niet aanwezig.
Het weer was perfect en de omgeving was ook goed.
Kortom, park en huis scoren een onvoldoende.

Thank you for your review. We are always looking to improve the apartment and would be grateful for further explanation.
I think there were some misunderstandings. Unfortunately, you did not communicate any questions during your stay so nothing could be addressed. We have plenty of kitchen equipment and various types and sizes of linen, if only you had asked. The golf course is not open at the moment, but the resort is fully operational. Each area of the resort is self managed so pools, gardens, security and everything else is fully up to date. The apartment has 3 bedrooms and a sofa bed so can accommodate 8 people, but it would be a squeeze. We have now added a comment on the website. Lastly, the sports facilities are free of charge. The advantage is that they cost nothing, the disadvantage is that they are not especially well maintained. There are photos on the website, but we have added some words to explain that the sporting facilities are for holiday leisure use, rather than serious enthusiasts. We hope this clarifies everything. Please ask if you are unsure. Everybody has a right to an opinion and help us improve the property, but retrospective comments do not help us or our guests. Our on site property managers had no communication either.
