Overall AMAZING! Best Vrbo I’ve stayed in!

This was an amazing Vrbo. The view was gorgeous and the unit was very accommodating. The windows had black out curtains which helped with sleep!

Great location right on the river. Clean,neat and tidy apartment. Glass door on upstairs toilet a bit of a surprise! but quite funny. Very helpful owners. really enjoyed our stay.

Good location on the river

We enjoyed our stay in this compact apartment. Street noise was an issue until we realized that the window shutters eliminate most of the sound. Views from the apartment across the river are incredible. Location is almost equidistant to the action on both sides of the river. Be prepared for an uphill walk into central Porto.

Porto stay

This property is very clean. Spotless. There is a washing machine but no dryer. There is a clothes rack for drying which actually worked just fine. It is very convenient to the Porto in Gaia side of the river. There are many good restaurants close by. The views outside the window are quite good. The balcony is tiny, but does accommodate one with difficulty.

Worth the money

I was concerned this would not be worth the money, but it was. Great location, right in the river and close to everything. Really great feel to this place. Extremely safe. Elevator worked well, place was extremely clean and everything worked! This place is worth the money, you will not regret staying here. We could not get the stove to work and the local contact came out, and it was completely just us not knowing how to use it. The local co tact was charming. I would highly recommend this location.

Ideal river front location

This is a spacious, modern apartment on the top floor of a renovated 3-floor building (there IS an elevator/lift). The rental agent was waiting for us when we arrived. She checked us in and gave us a map and pointed out the sights and locations of grocery markets. We were able to walk to most of the places we wanted to see, although it is a physical workout to go uphill from the riverfront to the city itself. Other than the occasional sirens from emergency vehicles passing by, it was quiet at night. We were pleased with this rental and would rent again from this agent should we return to Porto for another visit.

Great view, friendly neighborhood

Positives: - smooth check-in/out - great location with many restaurants within walking distance Negatives: - parking (if you’ve rented a car, as we did) is a bit problematic. On street parking is crowded and nearly impossible to find. There are pay parking lots (20 euros for 3 days, not bad at all) but they are all up hill 10 minutes away. One suggestion would be to have a binder explaining the apartment, outlining appliance operation, trash bin and recycling locations, etc. This is a great apartment that accommodated 4 adults with ease and I recommend it!

Porto River View Apartment

It was a very comfortable apartment for four adults with a fantastic view of the bridge and monastery. Hugo was extremely attentive to our questions and worked tirelessly to address the only two issues that we had. Right next to the river tourist area and the stairs to the upper city. Busy street below but excellent sound insulation. Excellent lift to the apartment. Good ac for the main floor, however the loft bedroom was warmer than we like. A portable fan would have easily fixed the problem but Hugo wasn’t able to find one before we left. Excellent tapas restaurant right next to the apartment, ate their a few times.

Incredible Views and Access

Apartment is great. Clean. Simple. Lift for access. RIGHT on the Duoro river. Excellent for adventurous couple (or small family) looking for a great home base for walks exploring Porto. Important to know: it's at the river level - right near all the action on the riverfront in the Ribeira. You can throw a rock and hit the Ponte Luis bridge. It's on a little terrace/road/access way with no parking - but there is parking not too far away (pay by 72 hours or hourly). The walk UP the hill is strenuous (by stairs is about 200+) but a nice start to the morning. The Vernicular looks promising (and easier) but was not in service when we stayed. But right there is also all the action on the river banks (both sides) as well. We used it as a home base to just wander all over Porto (and Gaia). Kitchen has all you'll need for basic living over a few days. Bathrooms worked. Two beds are plenty for a couple of couples or a small family of 3-4. If I was going back to Porto, I would definitely seek to stay here (or one of the other apartments) again. But, I don't mind the walk up the hill... but not matter where you stay if you want to go around Porto you likely are going to have some hills.

A wonderful apartment with an amazing view of the Douro!

Our trip to Porto was wonderful and this apartment made it perfect! The beds were comfortable, the location was ideal and the views of the Douro and the beautiful Luis 1 Bridge amazing. We will try to stay there every time we visit Porto!

On the river and walking distance to everywhere

Lots of room, 2 baths. A/C that works. Balcony. Elevator that works and is 12 inches from apartment door. Washer is easy to use. Only issue is some mold in downstairs shower.

Beautiful place with incredible views!

Except for lack of response regarding the wi-fi, our experience with this property was great! The views alone are worth the price, and the flat is new and clean, with great proximity to the Douro and other sites. Would love to return!
