This is a true lakeside experience! The boathouse is beautifully decorated with every detail thought out. The breakfast was lovely and the view is unmatched. The only negatives are that there is no AC but this is compensated by windows that let in a fabulous breeze from all 4 sides. This does allow the mosquitoes in but that's life on a quiet lake. Do stay here and swim or kayak on one of the nicest lakes in Italy. Highly recommended.
Gorgeous views in all directions. Private, second story stone cottage built atop a boat house on the serene alpine Lago dâOrta. You will never want to leave your balcony fortress overlooking the sequestered waters of majestic snow-covered peaks.
Parklike verdant setting on the gated, private estate of Marco and Annaâyour most gentile hosts. Every possible B&B amenity provided, from warm towels to fresh baked pastries and rolls. Almost too many breakfast items delivered to you door each morning. Each day at dawn, I glided the available kayak effortlessly through waters so reflective it seemed I was parting the clouds.
Short drive to Orta San Giulio and many fine restaurants, assuming you would ever want to leave your idyllic abode.
On the practical side, the comfortable bed is a tight spiral stair case above the apartmentâs main floor. And to access the bathroom, you must make your way down the covered outside winding staircase to a modern, heated, but detached bathroom in another part of the same building. This was not a problem for us, but could be a deal-breaker for some.
Otherwise, I cannot imagine a more perfect setting for a relaxed and rejuvenating holiday. 5 Stars
De mooist gelegen en schoonste B&B die er te vinden is. Elke morgen een gevarieerd en verrassend ontbijt. En dan even zwemmen in het mooie meer. Voor ons is dit echt vakantie.
Lovingly renovated boathouse with exclusive lake access
This magnificent boathouse is one of the most fantastic places we have stayed. You live directly on the lake with a breathtaking view to Omegna and the mountains. The house is very stylish and decorated with love. Every day a terrific breakfast is brought, the towels are changed and the room is made. But the best is the exclusive access to the lake. Many thanks and many greetings to the kind hosts Anna and Marco!
We are just back from a wonderful week at Chocolat in Omegna.
Marco and Anna are wonderful hosts and help in whatever question you have, thanks.
We also loved having the company of the two dogs and the two cats, especially little Marley!
This is the perfect place for an extraordinary week on and in the water (they provide SUP's, kayak and a pedal boat and you can even rent their boat for a day) and also visiting nice little Italian towns and markets in the area.
Breakfast was every day like Christmas! What will be in the boxes today? And every day it was as nice or even better then the day before.
Thank you so much for this great week and we are looking forward being back

A wonderful converted boathouse, with high quality breakfasts and daily cleaning service.
The two of us had a great 9 day stay at the boathouse, which is right on the lake. The breakfasts are truly wonderful and Anna kindly accommodated my wife's gluten-free needs. The boathouse is converted to a high specification. There is plenty of areas for relaxing, bbq and swimming (or pedaloing) in the lake. We loved sitting on the balcony and watching the scenic views, boats and ducks.
The house is very well equipped and cleaned daily. Marco and Anna's jack russel dogs kept us company, but never pestered.
Anna and Marco were the best hosts we could have asked for, especially since it was our honeymoon. They put so much thought into every detail from breakfast, to the decorations and music in the house, to being available to pick us up from the train station. The house, which is a remodeled 300+ year old boat house, was like something out of a fairy tail. The scenery was, I feel, the best on all of lake Orta. We also enjoyed borrowing their bikes to ride around the town and to take to the train station to explore the neighboring towns. This was, hands down, the best place I have ever stayed and I would recommend it to anyone!
