The Casita is located in the garden of the main house and it was lovely. Privacy isn't an issue since there are blinds and windows that can be closed or opened, depending on you, The Casita itself is super charming and has all of the amenities. Cabo Pulmo is a one-road village and the Casita is walking distance to all eateries, shops, and dive shops.
It was about what I expected although a little darker. Convenient location with a 2 minute walk to beach. Comfy, firm bed. A little small but certainly adequate.
Enchanting as advertised. Private setting. Friendly hosts. Minimalust kitchen. Central location. Occasional night time noise from nearby plant and early surf get aways
We had a fantastic time staying at the Casita Suite in Cabo Pulmo. The casita itself is lovely- the decor is festive but not overdone and the bathroom is spacious and super cool with mosaic tiling. The surrounding garden is lush and beautiful and there's a porch out front for morning coffee. The owners' home is adjacent to the casita and they are so friendly and easily reachable for any needs (we had none as everything was taken care of already). You can walk to local restaurants and the beach for a swim or renting a boat for amazing snorkeling and diving. Cabo Pulmo is a sandy, relaxed, tiny town- come here to get off the grid and reset your inner tempo in a beautiful little house. We are so glad we did!
Wow, this place was completely amazing!!! Right smack in the center of everything (tiny town) so easy to get anywhere but utterly totally peaceful when you are there. Owners spared nothing on the details of the design and the experience...and the local liaison Junior was so extremely helpful. I'd go back in a heartbeat.
The property was beautifully and artistically designed. Diane's influence was in every detail. The wind was howling the whole 5 days we were there which made water activities not possible. So we read, went on walks and ate out, mostly at Los Caballeros where Adrian makes the most delicious margaritas. Don't miss Pepe's too! Bring your own decaf coffee. And teas. What was in the room was not good. Expect higher prices at the restaurants than in Cabo San Lucas. Just about everything has to be trucked in but we loved supporting the local economy. The people are friendly and the lovely feel is like small town Mexico đČđœ.
An amazingly comfortable, artfully decorated very special place where we will stay again.
This very private separate getaway in Cabo Pulmo certainly was everything I was hoping for. We are rebuilding a home up a mile or so from there and will be staying there again. Everything about it was amazing. The patio was perfect, relaxing and private. The bed was very romantic and quite comfortable. The decor was inspiring. The location is, of course, amazing. Having owned a home near there since 1990 I can tell you the area is amazing. Cabo Pulmo is quite special and this place is right there!! Perfect location. Close to everything yet still allowing you that needed privacy. Seems like Diane and Rob have thought about everything. Lots of amenities were there for our use. Really makes it special. You'll have a fabulous time!!
Diane and Rob's property in Cabo Pulmo is completely unique - they have designed and built a beautiful place, covered in art and with an exquisitely diverse garden (they are both Botanists by education!). We had the pleasure of staying in the Casita suite, a separate building next to but very private from the main house, whilst Diane and Rob were in residence. They were excellent hosts - guiding our stay and making us feel very welcome. Very much recommended - we are hoping to send our families and friends their way!
Our casita was a hip artistic dream! I don't know where to start... The bed (with mosquito netting) was complete for an excellent nights rest. I still needed bug spray (I've got the skin/blood that they crave). There was ample closet and storage space to stow our things and a small fridge for provisions & leftovers. You'll find books on fish and the birds you'll be seeing (I know the "cactus wren" up close and personal now) and some other good reads to enjoy in the hammock or anywhere you want to chill. The casita's shower & sink is embedded with tile that looks like abalone - wow!.
The birds and a few roosters woke me with the light of day where my coffee in the hammock took in the hummingbirds and oriels (among many other desert fauna) while I took note of the vast difference in flora compared to my Washington State. After taking it all in we go to make breakfast in the kitchen of the estate that boasts a relaxed artistic paradise (you'll just have to take a look around) with open aired windows to nature. The photos from the website are not an exaggeration. We are a house off the main road, close to hikes and restaurants; less than 5 minutes to the blue ocean with a living reef (any kind of water activity you yearn for is here). We enjoyed tuna fishing then scuba diving & snorkeling (both with abundant sea life). At night the milky way is vibrant and my husband and I had a contest to see who could find the most falling stars. We left the Casita in Cabo Pulmo completely rejuvenated. We will return!
Qui vous reçoit ?
Vous ĂȘtes reçu par Diane Varney
We designed El Encanto to reflect our love of nature and art, with integrated living spaces that open onto covered patios and gardens, making the most of the mild climate. The home features original artwork by Diane and other favorite artists, plus heaps of traditional handicrafts collected over years of Mexico travel. We conceived of the home and gardens as a giant art project. It was truly a labor of love manifested over two years, working closely with local craftsmen.
We discovered Cabo Pulmo in January of 1993, a sleepy Mexican fishing village and well-kept secret among a handful of adventurous gringo fishermen and watersport enthusiasts. When we purchased our property later that year, we aspired to a simpler life, closer to nature and away from the frenetic pace of city living. Two years later, we were able to sell our business in California and move to Mexico to realize our dream!
If you love nature, if you love art, if you love the tropics, if you love the water, if you love Mexico, you will be in heaven at El Encanto; with details that will surprise and delight you for the entire duration of your stay! A vacation experience you're sure to cherish. Enjoy!
