Caractère bien équipé (à gauche) studio dans le centre historique de Kotor
aperçu Appartement rénové studio de caractère, au coeur de la vieille ville de Kotor. Lumineux avec une belle montagne et sur la vieille ville. 2 couchages très confortable roi canapé-lit de taille dans une zone salon ouvert, chambre et cuisine. Séparée salle à manger WC / douche. Caractère murs en pierre et carrelage. Grande armoire et placard. Extrêmement bien équipée avec climatisation / chauffage, 3 fenêtres double vitrage, plat ADSL écran (T-com) et la télévision par satellite / DVD, plaques halogènes et des ustensiles de cuisine, frigo-congélateur, un accès illimité à Internet, une petite table et des chaises, sèche-linge, etc. . salle de bains de qualité avec une grande douche, WC, lave-linge, sèche-cheveux, planche à repasser et fer à repasser. Il est à seulement quelques mètres à pied pour visiter les nombreux musées, églises, restaurants, bars et boutiques dans le pittoresque et la voiture (échappement) vieille ville libre (stationnement disponible à l'extérieur seulement 150-250 mètres). Ou prendre pied les 30 minutes jusqu'au sommet de l'ancien fort avec des vues à couper le souffle sur la baie de Boka. Le front de mer bordée de yachts et bateaux se trouve à seulement 2 minutes et marcher un peu plus loin vous amène à Dobrota, avec des restaurants de bord de mer et nager dans l'eau claire Boka Bay. bus ou taxis peu coûteux peuvent vous emmener dans les villages historiques et préservés Boka Bay (Prcanj, Perast etc.), ou encore sur le Budva plus développé (avec sa propre vieille ville pittoresque, saut à l'élastique, sports nautiques, etc.) ou de sable et des plages rocheuses directement sur la côte adriatique (Jaz, Blue Horizons, etc.). Une excursion en bateau autour de la baie, et surtout à l'île vaut l'église est à ne pas manquer. Au total, cette UNESCO ville du patrimoine mondial et la zone est une zone dramatique, intéressante et inoubliable à l'expérience. wifi gratuit et illimité avec bon signal dans l'appartement [réseau 'Lidija'; code 0674995044] de sorte que vous pouvez facilement rester en contact et la plupart des bars et restaurants locaux ont aussi un accès wifi gratuit - leur demander leurs codes. gardien bienvenus Lidija rencontre des hôtes, aide en cas de problème et est heureux de répondre aux questions et fournir des recommandations ou. Remarque il y a 2 appartements presque identiques annoncés qui sont à côté de l'autre: le studio gauche est légèrement plus grand et a légèrement meilleure vue par rapport à la droite atelier, comme on le voit sur les photos et vaut le prix légèrement plus élevé, bien que les deux sont excellente / comme annoncé. Informations sur le parking Parking est pas autorisé dans la vieille ville elle-même (pas de fumées de voiture!), Mais on peut se garer gratuitement à proximité. Tête de la vieille ville avec la mer sur votre droite, puis tourner à droite à environ 20 mètres avant le seul rond-point et ronde (petite route en face du parking de supermarché Roda et seulement ~ 250 mètres de l'appartement). Alternativement, si cela est plein je conduis tout droit au rond-point avec la baie toujours sur ma droite et le parc sur le premier espace disponible sur la gauche devant le bureau de poste (mais pas dans les espaces de taxi avec des lignes jaunes!). Je ne l'ai jamais eu de problèmes avec le vol de voiture ou de dommages à Kotor. Les jours du marché / festival ou soirées de week-end, vous pouvez avoir un peu plus loin à pied, mais vous pouvez toujours trouver des espaces quelque part! Sinon il y a plusieurs parcs fréquentés de voitures de paie, le plus commode étant juste en face de la porte principale de la vieille ville (~ 150/200 mètres à pied de l'appartement) et aux côtés des amarrages port / bateau, qui charge actuellement ~ 90 cents par heure. Il y a un autre parking payant juste en dehors des murs de la vieille ville immédiatement sur le côté Dobrota de la vieille ville, à environ à un prix similaire. Remarque re bruit Kotor et escalier jusqu'à appartements / amis à fourrure! Bien que l'appartement est très bien situé à proximité des attractions et des installations Kotor, l'ensemble de la vieille ville de Kotor est animée et peut être soirées d'été bruyants. Bien que cet appartement est plus calme que la plupart des appartements Kotor (il a des volets et double vitrage), le sommeil léger ou ceux qui préfèrent des soirées tranquilles en été devrait envisager de rester / bien dormir loin de la vieille ville de Kotor e. g. en Muo / Prcanj et bien loin de restaurants / bars, même si vous aurez besoin de bus / en voiture pour se rendre à Kotor. Bien que les appartements sont excellents à l'intérieur, le hall et l'escalier à eux ont parfois des chats et il peut être parfois une odeur désagréable pendant la minute ou se rendre et de l'appartement. Les portes des appartements sont raisonnablement étanche à l'air, de sorte que les appartements eux-mêmes ne devraient pas l'odeur du tout, sauf si vous laissez la porte ouverte (dans ce cas, laisser les 3 fenêtres ouvertes pendant quelques minutes!). La femme dans l'appartement central à l'étage inférieur (qui insiste sur l'alimentation des chats dans ce domaine et des bâtiments voisins) devrait et habituellement ne nettoyer l'escalier environ par jour, mais s'il y a un chat gâchis nettoyage visible ou escalier nécessaire, mentionner à son amicale parlant anglais fils qui vit en dessous du studio gauche qui va trier les questions ou appelez Lidija qui l'obtenir triée. La plupart des gens ne sont pas gênés par ce qui précède et d'apprécier ayant des attractions et des installations à proximité de Kotor et d'excellentes installations de l'appartement (voir les commentaires), mais Studio pas recommandé en cas d'allergie aux chats et / ou le sommeil léger! Réservation Contacter le propriétaire par e-mail / via le site si vous avez des questions ou réserver en ligne une fois décidé. Sites ne permettent pas de numéros de téléphone ou adresses e-mail habituelles pour être partagées qu'après la réservation est faite. Après avoir réservé le propriétaire confirmera la réservation et vous envoyer un courriel des informations plus détaillées sur des appartements et région. Lidija se réunit normalement invités par arrangement sur les marches de la cathédrale de St Tripun (comme plus facile à trouver que l'appartement). Arrivée 16. 00 ou plus tard et consultez 10. 00 ou plus tôt, sauf accord avec Lidija. Conclusion Globalement, les studios sont bien situés et la valeur équipée et grande. Nous vous souhaitons un excellent séjour dans cette belle et intéressante région

Absolutely lovely place. Well equipped for my stay and the washer was a huge plus! The evenings could be quite lively from the music in the courtyard but it was actually pleasant most of the time. Well located in old town. Great communication and would definitely stay there again.

Steve's Kotor apartment was just perfect for our quick getaway.
Clean, bright, accommodating. Three words to describe our stay. The apartment is well-maintained and care is taken to keep it up-to-date. The two corner windows allow light and a breeze to come in and freshen up the apartment. At night the apartment is well-lit and the amount of light can be adjusted to suit one's needs. We made our own breakfast each morning; being able to have a refrigerator, stove, and kitchen sink (and cups, plates, and cutlery) helped us to feel right at home. We didn't use the television, but the Wifi definitely came in handy. Lidija was very helpful with getting us settled in and gave us some tips about where to eat and what to do in the area. Overall, it was a great place for us to stay and we look forward to booking it again when we visit the area another time.

Sehr nahe im Zentrum. Die Parkplätze sind schwieriger zu finden als angegeben. Wer Ruhe sucht, sollte das Appartment meiden. Wir fanden es super. Die Schränke waren nicht sauber aber wir haben einfach aus dem Koffer gelebt.

Cozy Apartment, Great Location
Stayed as a single occupant in the left studio for just over a month. The studio is as shown in the pictures. Bright during the day, and a little cool in the evenings (especially during November). The place is very clean and the washing machine was a huge bonus for a long stay. The wifi worked well. And it is a very quiet location. Actually the whole city was peaceful to visit and not overcrowded with tourists. The stairwell was kept clean, and as it was a cooler month, I really didn't notice any cat smell. The cats that hang out in the stairwell are quite friendly. Lidija was very attentive and even arranged a cab for me up to the top of Lovcen. Kotor made for a great base to explore the nearby hiking trails, as well as the nearby cities (Budva is about 40 minutes away by bus). Would stay here again!

Cockroaches and cat urine
Apartment was nice in a good location with low price, but there were cockroaches in the apartment and the stairway had a lot of cat urine and feces which smelled really bad in the heat.

Lovely little place
My partner and I had a great time staying in the left studio. Out of season so it was quiet at night and a pleasant temperature, so I can't comment on noise or air con! The sofa folds out into a bed and bedding and towels are available. The shower is nice and the tiny kitchen area did us well for a week. Lidija welcomed us warmly and I feel she would have been able to sort out any issues if we needed. A few glitches with the TV and wifi once or twice but nothing that affected us greatly - and if it did we would have contacted Lidija. Having a washing machine was a nice addition. The stairway was clean despite a cat smell, but this didn't bother us. If you really don't like cats, Kotor in general is probably not the best place for you (one sat in my lap at a restaurant at one point). In general we were provided with all the information we needed and found Steve and Lidija helpful. Would stay here again!

Nice place to stay, but with some serious setbacks
positive:
nice and relatively clean place in the middle of the old town (photos are quite accurate)
helpful staff
negative:
cats smell - really awful especially combined with hot weather
household appliance - fridge broke twice during our stay, air-conditioning once, some electric sockets not working, some cabinets falling apart etc.
noisy location - there is live music every evening until 1 AM right next door and closing the windows wont sort the thing at all :)

Thanks for review, for highlighting photos are accurate and caretaker helpful and apologies for issues you mention. Lidija the caretaker normally sorts out most issues immediately if asked and apartments are regularly serviced and rennovated. Almost all other reviews, and all reviews since this date, are much better. Hallway is being renovated and new door means that occasional cat issues are much reduced and should be eliminated soon. Fantastic apartment, lovely stay in Kotor!
This studio is in a fantastic location right in the heart of the old town. The apartment is a perfect size, it is clean and well equipped. It is excellent value for money and is one of the best places we stayed whilst in Montenegro.
Lidja was also very helpful and easily contactable.
We would highly recommend a stay here!!

Nice, but not cared
It is a nice appartment. It has a lots of TV-channels and the location is perfect.
We did not feel confortable because of the following reasons:
- The dishes were slightly sticky
- The freezer had a broken door at the deep freezer -> the freezer had water everywhere
- The mattress was laterally inclined
- The shower was missing of a door
- WLAN was only on the door and did not reach the table and the bed
- In the stairs there was always smell of excrement from cats and birds and sometimes also visible excrements on the way.
We think that the apartment can get many more stars, as it has a lot of potential, when these things get solved.

Thanks for your review and I hope that you enjoyed your holiday. We were very surprised to get this poor review, over 10 weeks after your 1 day visit, particularly as you had not raised any of these issues at the time. Normally we request and expect guests to raise any issues with the caretaker or myself during their visit, so they can be promptly fixed (caretaker often praised on how helpful she is!). You did not to reply to our email to seeking further explanation and almost all other guest reviews are better - however comments are below:
1. The hallway and stairs are admittedly shabby and sometimes have cats on them - the neighbour below sometimes feeds them but she usually cleans the stairs daily - if she fails to clean and we are notified then the situation is normally rectified immediately. However the apartments themselves are clean, well rennovated and equipped so there should never be smells in the apartment.
2. The wifi router is in the left studio (so maximum bars there) but can be variable in the right studio next door due to walls though signal can always be picked up - plan to improve next year).
3. Mattress was comfortable last time I stayed there and no other guest complaints.
4. Will follow up on shower door but I understand this is now fixed following guest damage just before your visit.
Thanks again for your very late feedback even though we consider a 2 star rating unfair given the above and other comments received.

Perfect
Great apartment, ample for a couple space wise. Great location, very well equipped. Lidjia was so helpful particularly when we missed our flight with Ryan from Stansted (use Tivat if poss) and always on hand. Cats in the hall are a bonus. Hope to return.

Beautiful little apartment in an amazing location!
We only stayed for 4 nights but we could easily have stayed longer. This little apartment is small but has everything you need. Well look after and is in a perfect location slightly off the main squares so is quieter in the evenings. It is an ideal base from which to go exploring in the old town of Kotor and around Kotor Bay. We would definately choose to come back to this place if we were coming back to Kotor.
About the hall way outside from other reviews mentioning the smell of cats - we did not think it smelled bad (and the apartment surely didnt smell of cats whatsoever) but yes there are cats living in the hall way and some very cute kittens - which really didnt bother us.
We had excellent service from Lidija who met us to take us to the apartment. She was always on call if we needed anything.

Fantastic apartment with great views!
This apartment is fantastic! The room itself is very nicely decorated with a comfy sofa/bed and nice matching furniture. The lighting is great (not always the case in old apartments) and gives a wonderful warm glow to the room at night. The internet was fast and consistent. The hot water heater worked well, too, which is something I always worry about. While the stairwell is grim (totally normal in old buildings), the apartment was spotlessly clean and bright.
The bedding is soft and pretty, and everything you need is here—iron, drying rack, cleaning supplies, hairdryer, washing machine, dishes, electric kettle. There was even coffee, tea, and sugar in the cabinet when I arrived. There is also a good supermarket around the corner that sells anything else you might need.
The views from the windows are spectacular, both in the daytime and at night (when the steps leading up to the fortress are lit up). Right outside one window is an orange tree, and the scent from the flowers waft in, which I really enjoyed. In spite of the trees outside the windows, there were no insects in the apartment, which was a pleasant surprise!
Kotor can be a little noisy at night, but with the windows shut, I didn’t hear anything.
The owner is very nice and helpful, as is his local property manager. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone coming to visit Kotor!

honeymoon
We stayed in this apartment for our honeymoon. Steve was very helpful with emailing about the apartment and the parking, etc. When we arrived in Kotor, we had trouble with our international phone and had difficulty reaching Lidija (who manages the flats) to let us in. But she waited and met us very late at night. She was so kind and helpful and was amazing to wait for us! The apartment appeared clean and cozy and in a good location in the historic part of town.
Now for the negative part…when we arrived, there were at least 10+ cats in the stairway and it smelled of cat vomit, feces and urine. After Lidija let us in and as we were getting ready for bed, we realized that the same smell that was coming from the hallway was coming in through the bathroom. We shut the door, but the smell was all over the apartment. It was so overwhelming that we had difficulty sleeping. We thought about leaving that night, but it was so late and didn’t know if there would be anything open. We woke up very early the next morning and left immediately. I emailed Steve to let him know about the smell and he assured me that it was just from the hallway. Unless they fix this problem with the cats, I would not recommend staying here.

Thanks to Alyson for her comments that Lidija and myself were very helpful and we were sorry that she was unhappy. Whilst tenants should be aware that one can sometimes see and/or smell a few cats on the stairway for a few minutes each day when walking to or from the apartment (entranceway/stairs are shabby), the apartment itself where one spends most of one’s time is very well renovated and equipped and does NOT smell. This review presents an unfair and unbalanced view of the property:
1. This review is at complete variance with the only other review so far (5 stars!) from someone who stayed there for 2 months rather than just 8 hours.
2. The apartment does NOT smell inside! No cats have ever lived in the apartment! It has a front door with draught excluders which do not let any smells or breeze in. Opening the apartment’s high (2nd floor) windows make it bright, well ventilated and airy (and allow smells if any to escape). Similarly closing the bathroom door and opening the bathroom window lets out any toilet smells. Not rocket science!
3. I stayed in this apartment just 2 days before her arrival and, while there were sometimes 0 to 4 cats around and a slight smell on the stairway (NOT in the apartment!), it was nothing like as bad as alleged. Someone highly allergic to cats and/or who cannot handle a shabby entrance way/stairs might prefer to rent elsewhere, but will likely be a less well equipped and renovated apartment with a worse view and at a higher price!.
4. Alyson left the apartment without contacting Lidija at all to resolve her issues. Lidija lives nearby, manages the apartment and is very helpful. Had Alyson bothered to do this, the situation would have been rectified. The neighbour who looks after the cats (despite our requests not to) usually cleans the stairway daily and always cleans it when asked.
Overall the apartment is very well equipped and renovated, with great views over the mountains/church (and with a green 'orange tree' a metre or so away). With washing machine, unlimited internet access and flat screen TV it is far better equipped than most Kotor apartments and at competitive rates. More than offsetting a shabby entranceway and some occasional Kotor wildlife!.

Couldn't be more in love with the place.
This place is absolutely fantastic. The room is large and incredibly light and airy - with views that really deserve the term spectacular - from the left window you look out across old buildings and onto the mountainous fortress walls, from the right, over a secluded and romantic courtyard.
The room is beautifully decorated - excellent lighting, spotlessly clean and tasteful decor, and a good sized bathroom with decent shower. The bed is comfy and the fold-out construction of it useful, and there's plenty of storage. The TV has a number of English channels - Universal and BBC Entertainment to name a few, and the internet is highspeed and reliable. There's also a DVD player. The kitchen area is small but equipped with the basics, and with a good hob and fridge.
The location is incredible. Kotor is an amazing destination, and this flat is slap bang in the middle of the old town. The nearest little market shop can be counted in steps (I'd guess 32), and town sprawling with beautiful restaurants and bars. The old town market is just outside of the gates two minutes away, Kamilija shopping centre is outside the other gate (and has a gym), just four minutes away. Dobrota beach and bars are about 6 minutes away. I lived here for two months and the flat was the perfect hub for playing out my 'girl about town' fantasy! Also, it should be mentioned that Lidija, who manages the flats, is incredibly friendly, efficient and helpful - answering the most mundane of queries and dropping everything to sort out the (very few) issues that I ever had.
In order for this review to not appear too sycophantic, it's probably worth just dropping in two minor detractions. The flat itself is completely unaffected by it, but the staircase to the flat is occupied by a few cats, which is always... interesting. In addition, Old Town can be a bit 'party' come the weekend, but with the windows closed and the (particularly effective) air-con on, this makes little difference either - and as the world's biggest fan of sleeping, I'd be the first to complain if it was a real problem.
I really had the most amazing time living in Kotor for the summer (so much so that I'm staying around the area for the whole year now). The place is all grand architecture, mountains and sea. The restaurants and alcohol are cheap enough that going out every night doesn't break the bank, and the flat is gorgeous and feels like home very quickly, providing a perfect base to explore from.

Jess. Thanks for your excellent and very comprehensive review. Jess rented the left studio apartment off-peak all of May and June 2012. Guests often comment on enjoying the views from this bright and airy apartment, the convenience of facilities included (unlimited internet access, washing machine, flat screen TV, etc.). We’ve tried often but unfortunately can’t do much about cats on the communal staircase (woman below feeds them and cleans the stairway but they are often ‘noticeable’ :) !) and anyway it’s only a short distance between the apartment door and the street!. Kotor can sometimes be noisy at night (mainly summer weekends) but with good double glazing this place is much quieter than most in the Old Town and I too have had no problems sleeping!. One could stay outside the old town, but the apartment’s central location is very convenient with historic attractions, shops, bars, restaurants, etc. all only a very short walk away. Like Jess I would thoroughly recommend visiting Kotor and Montenegro for it's stunning scenery, interesting history, friendly people and multitude of bars, restuarants and places to visit! British and married with 2 school kids now living near London. Enjoy travelling and outdoor activities. Accountant who has lived and worked worldwide (before kids!) and always wanted to own property away from the crowded wet UK and not too far from the sea somewhere sunny! We fell in love with Montenegro on our first morning, waking up to views of the beautiful Boka Bay in the sunshine with old historic towns and villages, surrounded by steep mountains and a calm fjord, warm and clean enough to swim in. After meeting friendly Montenegrins, visiting the varied Adriatic coastline just 20 minutes away, the Durmitor National Park and breathtaking Tara Canyon just a few hours away, and meeting friendly locals, decided to buy in Montenegro, and have been returning regularly since. More recently started renting to help cover the larger than expected running costs.

1. Location: In a historic old walled city with no car fumes and close to bars, restaurants, banks and shopping, yet just a few minutes walk from the stunning Boka Bay water front, with Dobrota beaches nearby and easy access to public transport. 2. Location. potential & views: Apartments were fairly small needed total renovation (even removing floors and ceilings) but had great views from second floor (especially left studio). Ended up costing twice our estimates but were totally transformed with character stone walls and quality bathrooms, kitchenettes and equipment.

Entrance-way and stairway are dingy and apartments fairly small, but once inside, apartments are very well renovated and equipped (unlimited broadband, flat screen TV, full fitted kitchen, washing machine, open plan) and with good views from the windows (especially left studio) and comfortable sofa beds in a great location. Far better than most Kotor apartments and at a competitive rate. Great base for exploring this beautiful and interesting area.
