We had a lovey stay at this warm and comfortable home from home. The home is close to so many attractions, a car is a must . Carol and Steve could not been more friendly or more informative. Lots of information available. The local pub the Fox and beer garden is great. And the Wensleydale Heifer is a must do treat for a meal. It is expensive but weâll worth
A perfect place to relax after a busy festive week. Thank you Carol and Steve for the warm welcome. It is our second visit to this property and highly recommend it.
Attractive, well planned and clean accommodation with walking direct from the door. A great village pub is also a bonus for cosy fires and evening food. Thank you.
Our son ended up staying here for the wedding locally that we couldn't make it to. The owners made him feel very welcome and he had a very good stay here.
Wood definitley recommend.
Regards
Richard and Maggie
The loft apartment was very clean, bright and comfortable, with beautiful garden, nicely decorated spacious rooms, warm shower, good wifi. good climate control system.
It was in a small village centrally located in the Dales National Park, within walking distance to a pub and grocery market.
The hosts were very friendly and informative and left lots of brochures for things to see in the area. Everyone we met in the area was friendly and kind.
This was a perfect place for our stay in the Dales.
We spent 2 weeks in Carol and Steve's Coachman's Loft, and it exceeded all of our expectations! Everything was perfectly clean and tastefully decorated. The shared garden space was lovely in July, with gorgeous flowers and benches to sit and enjoy them. Carol and Steve were more like friendly neighbors that hosts, although they did provide plenty of helpful information about local sights and eateries. We would return with hesitation.
Lovely clean and comfortable accommodation on the east of the Yorkshire Dales. D&D.
On our arrival we were welcomed by Carol & Steve with a cup of tea and a slice of delicious apple crumble cake. The Coachmanâs Loft is very comfortable and is conveniently placed for exploring the east side of the lovely Yorkshire Dales. We enjoyed visiting Hawes again and itâs attractions and our first ride on the Wensleydale Railway when we had time in between trains to see Bedale. Aysgarth falls is another beauty spot well worth a visit. The walk from Leyburn along Leyburn Shawl among the trees with its reward of glorious views of Wensleydale and round by Bolton Hall and Wensley is a must for those who like walking. The choice of many excellent places to eat out within a short walk or drive is amazing. We enjoyed breakfasts at Berrys farm shop and cafe in the next village and a delicious meal at the Wensleydale Heifer. The Street Head pub also do excellent food. There were many more we could have tried had we had the time! All combined made our stay a relaxing week away.
My husband and I just returned from a week in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. Coachman's Loft in the town of West Witton was a perfect location for us to talk long walks in the magnificent countryside. Semer Water, Asygarth Falls and Hardraw Force are all close by and not to be missed. The Loft was spotlessly clean and spacious for the two of us. We really appreciated the large king size bed and roomy sitting/living area. The small kitchen had everything needed to prepare meals.
The loft overlooks a beautiful garden and a cute sun house is available for guests to use. Carol and Steve were great hosts providing us with lots useful information about the local area and a good selection of maps and walking guides. We appreciated the tea and cake upon our arrival and the lovely bouquet of tulips (in honor of our 50th anniversary) -thanks so much! Be sure to enjoy Sunday Lunch at the Fox & Hounds pub and for a special occasion the excellent food at the 5 star Wensleydale Hefer both within walking distance of the Loft. We highly recommend the Coachman's Loft and would definitely come again!
The property is located in a village yet despite this there is not a sound at night to awaken a light sleeper . Very well located for walks and visits to some of Yorkshireâs most impressive areas .
Sweet, cosy, spotlessly clean flat with exceptionally welcoming hosts. The traditional Yorkshire fruit cake and Wensleydale cheese combo they greeted us with was scrumptious. Also really thoughtful additions, like kitchen dispensables, provided.
Beautiful, quiet, clean and well maintained property- exactly as described and shown on website. Lovely, helpful but discrete hosts Carol and Steve who greeted us with a welcoming pot of tea and delicious home made cake. The area is perfect for walkers and cyclists and well placed for good restaurants, pubs and cafes too.
We had an amazing time. Carol and Steve were brilliant hosts and gave us a very warm welcome with some gorgeous cake!! Weâd recommend the weekly sheepdog demo near Hawes which happens at 18:30 every Thursday - just for a little taste of the dales!! The loft was the perfect base for us, really comfortable and well equipped. Would definitely stay again. Thank you!
Everything about our holiday stay was great from the really warm welcome, from Steve and Carol to the comfy and cosy loft. It was a great space, freshly decorated and spotlessly clean.
Steve and carol were brilliant and the accomodation is really comfortable.
They were avaiable if needed but left us to it the rest of the time
Would definately reccomend this property
Had a fabulous week at the Loft, the weather was perfect and it was so lovely to sit in the garden to watch the sun rise and set.
It was a good base for walks and cycling and we eat at both The Fox and Hounds Inn and Wensleydale Inn - quite different but both very delicious.
Steve and Carole were great hosts, always available if you needed help but also gave you privacy.
The Loft was spacious, clean and had everything you need for a holiday let.
An ideal base for exploring the Dales, we will definitely stay here again and I can recommend this property with confidence.
Excellent property perfect location. Hosts could not have been more helpful and accommodating. The property was perfect and the bed to die for . The local pub a short walk away and a great place to relax at the end of the day . Would definitely stay here again
Loved our stay here. Immaculately clean, all the facilities you need and big comfy bed. We especially appreciated the folder of walks and did several. Carol and Steve really decent people and great hosts.
A lovely, well equipped, property with a nice sunny garden and lots of good walking from the doorstep. The owners were there to meet us on arrival and were very friendly and helpful. Check in is later and Departure earlier due to the owners following the COVID Guidelines, this was not an issue as it is good to know the care that is being taken. Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back.
Lovely cozy apartment in the village of West Witton. Ideal for two people though there is a bed settee in the lounge as well.
Nice size bedroom with what for us was a lovely comfy bed. The apartment was spotlessly clean when we arrived and we found nothing wanting during our visit.
Ideal base for exploring wether walking, cycling or in our case motorcycling, shame the weather wasnât a bit kinder!
Hosts Carol and Steve live across the yard and are usually about if you have and queries or require information on the local area.
Carol presented us with a lovely piece of cake each on arrival which was a nice touch.
There are two pubs in walking distance. The Fox and Hounds being closest, a traditional real ale pub which also does food.
A little further up the road lies the Wensleydale Heifer. A gastropub with accommodation. More expensive than the Fox and Hounds but really good service and menu. We really enjoyed it there.
So, nothing not to like about the Coachmans Loft, wether for a short stay or longer.
We had a fantastic week exploring the wonderful Wensleydale. So relaxing and Carol and Steve were great hosts with lots of information and help. Coachman's Loft is very comfortable and home from home accommodation.
This property was excellent value ,and the decoration and attention to detail was amazing. Carol and Steve were very welcoming .as were all the regulars at the local pub The fox.
A very homely property and very welcoming owners. All facilities within the property excellent.
