La maison de transport moderne peut accueillir confortablement quatre personnes. Il y a un lit queen dans le maître et deux lits simples dans la deuxième chambre. Une cuisine entièrement en acier inoxydable est prête pour les repas gastronomiques avec des fruits et légumes frais de la Colombie-Britannique achetés sur les marchés fermiers ou des fruits de mer achetés directement du bateau du pêcheur. Un poêle à bois dans l'espace de vie est merveilleux pour se détendre le soir et profiter d'un verre de vin ou d'un bon livre. Un balcon couvert donnant sur la belle propriété est l'endroit idéal pour votre café du matin et votre cocktail du soir. Assis sur le pont à l'étang, vous pouvez voir une faune abondante. Des cerfs, des poissons, des hérons bleus, des pygargues à tête blanche, des visons et de nombreux amis à plumes ont été repérés à plusieurs reprises. Certaines périodes de l'année, l'étang est agréable pour nager. Si vous êtes prêt pour une randonnée difficile, la propriété est adossée à une zone boisée luxuriante et non perturbée avec un magnifique ruisseau. Vous pourrez peut-être faire la courte randonnée en amont du ruisseau jusqu'à la petite chute d'eau, mais vous allez vous mouiller.

We will be back!

Absolutely loved our stay at Cedar Hollows. Felt right at home from the moment we arrived. We were travelling with our toddler (3) and baby (8months), and it was perfect for us! Tara was ways quick to respond and a fantastic host. The property is beautiful and our toddler loved watching the goats and having a wander around the pond every day. Kitchen was incredibly well equipped with everything we needed and super cozy beds. 100% recommend!!

Cozy and clean

This location was central to all the sites we were interested in. Lots of deer nosing about. Property was clean and nicely appointed. Owners were very approachable and always helpful. The layout was spacious. Plus, BC folks are very friendly!

great place to stay

Very private and well stocked with everything you need, great location, wonderful hosts. The property is quite large and very well maintained, the hosts accommodated EV charging at no extra costs. The property is in a farm setting yet the air is very clean with no bugs at all or extra noises. Thank you for the hospitality, will come back.

Beautiful accommodation in a stunning setting and location

We absolutely loved the apartment-beautifully decorated and warm and comfortable. The setting is beautiful-complete with a lovely pond. We woke up one morning to deer just outside the window! Tara is wonderful! We would come back in a heartbeat.

A true oasis. Great property and great hosts.

Inside, the flat is modern, very comfortable and well appointed. Outside is a serene environment, perfect for strolls by the pond or to visit with the goats. The balcony, overlooking the garden and forest, is a perfect place to relax.

Excellent Place!

This place was excellent! The lodging was comfortable and felt like home away from home. The location is great as it’s out of the city but close enough to most locations on mid and South Island. The owners were great and the property is lovely. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

The perfect starting point for daily tours in Cowichan area

Everything perfect: Friendly and helpful hosts, living on the same ground, many cute animals horse, sheep, goats and even wild- living deer with fawns strolling cross the lawn! Very nice and clean little house, perfect for two to four. Kitchen fully equipped, modern and complete! Nice comfortable beds and in the evening qiuet surrounding.

A perfect place for a relaxing vacation.

We found Cedar Hollow to be very charming and comfortable with everything we needed. The property was lovely and made for a very relaxed holiday. It was easy to find our way around and would love to visit again. We also want to thank Jamie for his recommendation on whale watching. We went to Ocean Ecoventure In Cowichan Bay and had a wonderful experience with a captain that was very knowledgeable who made it fun and educational.

Great spot, perfect for our family of 4!

Cedar Hollow was such a fantastic spot for our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teenagers) while we were in the Victoria/Cowichan area. The house was exactly as described and it was great to have a full kitchen, good sized bedrooms and a nice sitting area. We went all over the place in our 5 days in the area and everything was really easy to get to because of the location of the house - Victoria, Sooke, Langford, Cowichan, Salt Spring, etc...nothing was too far away. If we are ever back on the island and in the area, Cedar Hollow will definitely be our go to spot to stay!

Perfect escape from the city.

My family and I stayed in the Carriage house while attending a weeks worth of family wedding events in Saanich and Victoria. Although we were about 30-40 minutes away from our events, it was well worth the drive. The cottage was a perfect getaway from the busyness of Victoria and gave us something to look forward to at the end of our busy, wedding event filled days. The views were outstanding including thick woods, flowers, deer, horses and goats. The owners of the home did not engage with us unless we sought them out which made the rental feel even more private. The house was cool despite the hot summer climate and the deck was, by far, my favorite place to be; in the morning with my coffee and in the evening with my glass of wine. We will certainly consider this location again when we return to Canada.

Cosy carriage house on a lovely property

Our family really enjoyed staying at the carriage house. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen fully functioned for breakfast and dinners. It was nice to be able to wash our laundry before we left. Beautiful property. We saw deer in the yard every day we were there. And would enjoy a nightly coffee on the balcony. The hosts were friendly and helpful. Only downfall for us was the TV has very little channels. Which wasn't bad for us, but for our young daughter when we were cooking supper it would have been nice. Overall a nice property and Tara and Jaimie were great to deal with.

Fantastic!

My family of 4 (2 kids 11 & 9 yrs old) & I had a wonderful stay. The carriage house was comfortable, well equipped & impeccably clean. Tara & Jamie were friendly and helpful. They made us feel welcome. My boys enjoyed checking out the goats & horses & the freedom to check out this beautiful rural property. We enjoyed visiting a few of the local wineries & lakes. We would highly recommend staying at this property & to anyone who asked.

The property is clean and new. It had everything we needed.

We ended up staying an additional night because it was so nice there, and there is so much to do in the area. We could have stayed two weeks and still not experienced all that is available. Hopefully we can stay again soon.

Perfect location; perfect hosts

This is such a beautiful property and our hosts, Tara and Jamie, couldn't have been more welcoming. The carriage house had everything we could ask for and the surrounding property was perfect for a relaxing stay. We even had a very friendly encounter with the goats and horses. We will definitely return to the island and we would time our visit based on the availability of Cedar Hollow.

We relocated from Saskatchewan to the island just this past summer. We moved for our love of the great outdoors, oceans, forests, wildlife, and yes of course the mild winter climate, which was the last nudge that we needed. We purchased this property with the idea of sharing this beautiful Home and Island experience with others from all over the world. We sincerely hope that you love it as much as we do.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

We are centrally located between Mill Bay and Shawnigan Lake only 3.1 km in either direction . If you look at the picture that was provided from the air you will notice the lush and pleantyiful forest all around us and the ocean on one side and the lake on the other all within 5 mins from the house.
