Une charmante ferme familiale située dans 17 hectares de belle campagne du Dorset.

Une belle ferme classée Grade II située dans 17 acres de campagne vallonnée près de la jolie ville de Beaminster. 13 couchages, avec salon, salle à manger, salle de jeux pour enfants, Aga dans la cuisine, poulets et canards dans la cour, et une cabane dans les arbres, tyrolienne et trampoline, ainsi que la possibilité d'acquérir des compétences de cirque. 15 minutes de la côte jurassique et des plages, à distance de marche du village et des restaurants primés.
La cuisine est grande, avec un sol en dalles d'origine, 8 sièges facilement avec de la place pour plus de tables, et a un Aga à 4 portes, et des masses d'espace de rangement, cela conduit à une salle de jeux pour enfants confortable, empilée avec des jouets et une télévision (DVD uniquement) . Hall est flaglé et dispose de toilettes avec lave-linge et sèche-linge menant à la salle à manger. Ceci est marqué par un poêle à bois, une grande cheminée, un piano à queue et une table à manger pour 12 à 14 personnes avec de la place pour une autre table. Cela fait suite à un autre hall, une entrée sur le jardin et une terrasse, un autre WC et le salon, qui a une grande cheminée Tv / Sky / Wifi, un poêle à bois et des caractéristiques originales. Il y a 2 escaliers dans la maison au premier étage, recouverts de moquette, où il y a une salle de bain pour enfants (plus petite) avec douche, baignoire et toilettes, une très grande salle de bain (baignoire, douche séparée et toilettes) 3 chambres doubles, une chambre simple et une chambre avec lits jumeaux et un dressing. En haut de quelques marches en bois raides se trouve le grenier, où une grande salle de jeux, avec un futon double mène à une jolie chambre double. Wantsley est une ferme familiale confortable, pas un hôtel chic ou une maison à louer uniquement. Nous vivons ici la plupart de l'année, sauf en août, Noël et occasionnellement Pâques.

Fabulous week in this great house!

The house is full of character with lots of space and the kitchen has absolutely everything that you could want. The garden and grounds are brilliant. We are all going to miss the chickens! The house is close to so many activities and many different beaches but in its own tranquil spot. Thank you to our welcoming and helpful hosts.

Excellent Farmhouse and gardens

What a wonderful house, perfect place for extended family holiday. Very spacious and spread out. Really enjoyed the large well kept garden. Kitchen was very well equipped. Beds very comfy. House made interesting with the many photos, artwork and family collections. The free roaming chickens made it for everyone. Hosts promptly replied to all my questions. Highly recommend.

fantastic Dorset farmhouse

this was an excellent letting and that is why i gave 5 stars for almost every aspect of our stay, there was so much to do in the house that if you did not want to venture out into the beautiful Dorset countryside you didn't have to. however, as the zip line was out of action and tree house ladder taken down, the only other outdoor apparatus left for children(both young and old)were the swings and trampoline, which unfortunately surrounded by nettles, a small point i know but felt i should mention it. our stay was fabulous in so many other ways . *****

Nice house, good location, not recommended

Wantsley Farm offers good accommodation and grounds for a family vacation and is within easy distance of Dorset beaches. The house is well lived in, the dishwasher could be temperamental and the kitchen floor was not properly cleaned. We had a good family holiday and enjoyed the grounds and the chickens. But it was marred by alleged damage to a carpet ( for which we have not yet had photo evidence ) which was made in a manner which questioned our integrity. For that reason I would not recommend the property.

Fantastic find! Perfect Christmas!

Lovely rambling farmhouse dating back to early 1600s but nicely modernized. Perfect spot for Christmas with two families. Big kitchen with aga and large fridge (essential for 14 people over Christmas). Cozy sitting rooms, plenty of bathrooms. The grounds were perfect for a dog walk. Really delighted with this place - couldn’t have imagined a better spot for a country Christmas. The house is comfortable, crammed with books and really interesting art work (fantastic photography!). There was only one chicken when we were there but we did get a few eggs. Charlie was extremely responsive to our questions, but most were pre-empted by a very detailed book about the property, a pdf of which was sent before we arrived. The house is in the countryside but only 2 miles from Beaminster which had a few nice shops, pubs and a small spar and co-op. Thank you also for the Christmas goodies on our arrival. Highly recommended!!

A spacious house in a great location, BUT!

There is much to be critical of. Considering the eye watering rental cost it was disappointing that so much was incomplete, missing or broken. The lovely outside eating area was spoiled by a bench that was completely unstable through lack of repair. A bbq without an ash pan to collect spent charcoal, no comfortable seating to lounge in the lovely garden. Broken outdoor dining chairs and so on. It is not surprising that there are disclaimers all over the place.

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the house and gardens at this family friendly farm house only a short drive to the beach. The zip wire and swings were awesome and lower lawn great for team sports. More than enough to keep 6 children occupied.

Amazing house for a family gathering

We had a wonderful week staying here, the location was perfect for all ages to go off and do their own thing and meet in the evening for a big dinner and sit around a log fire and catching up. The kids loved the stream and field to play in and the coast being so close.

Excellent property to rent for a large family

I would thoroughly recommend this property for a large family gathering. There is everything available you could wish for to have an enjoyable time. The house and garden are amazing and we feel privileged to have stayed here. It also gave us the opportunity to visit lots of places in Dorset and Devon.

Beautiful Farmhouse in the Heart of the Countryside

This is a spacious family house with every modern convenience Ideal for our large family group Comfortably furnished very homely with fascinating eclectic mix of artwork and collections from the owners travels which added to the interest and uniqueness Plenty of space to spread out and we really enjoyed the grounds Needed a car roads not really suitable for walking but the nearby towns and villages are only a few minutes away and have all you could want We had a wonderful week would highly recommend and would book again

Beautiful downland location. Interesting historic house. Great outside space, for playing cricket and rounders with the kids and lovely garden for eating outside. 20min to nice beaches. Glorious week at this lovely home

This home has to be what VRBO is all about: a very comfortable and stylish stay getting to know the local highlights. Our children adored the chickens, crabbing, looking for fossils, foraging and fishing. We loved the natural beauty of the area, the friendliness of the locals, the comfortable beds and the fresh eggs for breakfast. The owners are lovely people and were so happy to have their home for the week. We will definitely be back!

A family holiday to remember

Wantsley Farm is truely a wonderful family house with so much space, character and charm. The grounds are amazing and are perfect for little gandsons to play all day - whether it was the tree house, zip wire, swings, football or chcickens. There is something for them all to do. We had a party of 12 - 7 adults and 5 grandsons and there was so much space inside for us to all find our "own space". Suppers were amazing in the large farmhouse kitchen. Charlie and Tim were very attentive if we needed anything. All in all, a family holiday to remember. Thank you.

Fantastic homely place

We stayed with our extended family including my elderly parents and a 3 and 1 year old. The house was very welcoming and homely, there are nice walks just off the doorstep and the chickens provided entertainment for the little ones!

A lovely farm house

Beautiful house with fantastic grounds. Great for children and adults. Really enjoyed looking after chickens and geese. House is spacious and comfortable. Owners went to a lot of trouble to make us feel welcome. Would highly recommend. Lovely area with plenty to do in all weathers.

We felt honoured and privileged to be renting this beautiful farmhouse, surrounded by all the photos and artefacts of the owners’ fascinating lives... Not forgetting the inquisitive chickens and ducks, whose fresh eggs made the tastiest of breakfasts... the rooms were cosy, the grounds great and safe for the children to play in and explore, the house wants for nothing... Breathtaking property. Find time to walk to through the fields to The New Inn. My girls met and fed delightful donkeys, saved a sheep caught in a fence, played soccer til we fell down laughing, and cooked eggs til we burst!

We loved exploring the huge garden and actually ate most of our meals outside (we had mostly warm weather while there). We also went to four different beaches while there (25-45 minutes away). Thanks for having us stay in your lovely home! p.s. A minor suggestion: perhaps have the instructions for feeding the animals in table format and all on one page.
